About El Diablo
Mexican Street Food
Came here one very wet and windy Saturday afternoon but was sat under shelter so stayed lovely, dry and warm. Service was amazing and so friendly and the cocktails were a treat!
Unfortunately, for my 18th birthday I was unable to even enter the restaurant after having been excited for weeks to go. The staff were unbelievably rude and aggressively shouted ‘no ID no entry’ in our faces (despite not wearing a mask) when me and my friends never even planned to drink alcohol, we simply love mexican food, so myself and my friends were forced to find another place to eat, on the bright side, the bar ‘revolution’ was able to offer us a table and assured us that the security guards at the El Diablo bar were horrible to everyone :) if you ask me, I think the power of being a security guard may have gotten to his head
Had a reservation for yesterday evening but it was closed and I wasn’t notified by email.
I didn't turn up as I had a major injury a few hours before so would just like to apologise.
The waitret we had was lovely and so so funny, great team and great service
Staff were polite and chatty. It was busy and they were apologetic for slight delays, despite being busy they were available and kept asking if there was anything else needed by us. Had a fab time, the only thing which would improve would be if there was outdoor music. Will defiantly return.
Really good time there
Service was a bit slow, and you were keen on giving the bill before us even receiving the drinks
Food was lovely. The service was so so poor. Waiting 20-30 minutes for drinks, and then every round we had a drink missing which had to be chased up and then wait another 25 minutes for that drink. Ordered food and when it arrived, they missed one of the meals. So that person had to wait an extra 25 minutes and ask staff again before getting their meal. One of the waiters smashed a glass which had a cocktail in, didn’t break fully but glass went into the drink. He took it away and then 5 minutes later returned and said “apparently, legally, I’m not allowed to give you that drink back...” of course he wouldn’t, it had glass in it! He didnt offer to replace the drink, we had to ask! Table next to us knew the manager/owner and seemed to have no issue with any of their orders. Staff all clearly need some amount of training to actually run a bar. This was in minimal capacity, would had to see what happens when it gets full!
At the time of booking or on arrival I was not advised of any time limit. Then 2 minutes after being served a round of drinks I was told we had 10 minutes to finish our drinks due to the table being reserved. After rushing to finish our drinks i was then told we could stay as the next reservation had cancelled. Shambles.
So we got sat on a ok table wasn’t flash but then me and my partner got a bottle of a expensive vodka and then get asked to move to a better table and get treated differently I think if you want good customer always treat everyone the same as you don’t know what they have or are gonna get
Server Ash was very pleasant and a credit to the company.
Great service and lovely team, they couldn’t have been friendlier. Service was a little slow but that’s probably teething problems after lockdown. Food and drinks were great. Will definitely return.
Was terrible customer service, everyone was waiting for at least an hour for 1 drink and the toilets were really dirty. This place used to be good, not sure what’s happened as it’s been like this the last few times I’ve been. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.
Poor service and poor food
Absolutely shocking service. It took 35 minutes for myself and my friend to have our orders taken let alone getting the actual drink. The cocktails are weak and missing ingredients. Dont waste your time
Had to wait ages for overpriced drinks
It took them 20 minutes to give me the menu. Another 20 minutes ti serve the cocktails, and when they finally served the food, it was almost an hour after I was seated in the table.
We was really looking forward to this place, we were so disappointed! Food was awful, do not bother with the dusk till prawns it is not what you imagine it to be also you will have to take your prawns out of its skin and pull the legs off. Horrible! Drinks took over an hour to arrive and taste like rocket fuel, people around us were fed up and left. One table waited 2hrs for their burgers! Really disappointing and over priced!
Our servers were very attentive and friendly, made good conversation and served us quickly! The food was amazing and we’ll definitely be back.
Avoid this place at all costs!! We arrived on Friday evening, the bar wasn't full, we waited half an hour for our drinks, when they arrive the Margharita came half empty, no crushed ice, salt rim or lime. I sent it back saying for the price it wasn't acceptable, the manager came back slammed the drink on the table and said 'this is how we service margharitas here, i will take it off the bill and took it away', the attitude of this woman as a manager was shocking, she was rude, seemed disinterested to be there and very confrontational, her servers all didn't seem to know what they were doing and couldn't answer simple questions regarding the menu, we ended up leaving without eating or drinking anything, the manager as we left told us we were rude to her staff and not come back. We absolutely will not be doing, this has to be hands down the worst bar I have been to in Manchester.
Staff did not wear face masks while serving, tables were not cleaned before being seated, some tables were too close together. I will not be coming back here.
Service was extremely slow considering there were so many staff members and not that many tables. It took a very long time to get someone's attention they then got our order wrong. We had to tell 3 separate people that we were missing food before it eventually arrived (after we cancelled it!) 40 minutes after we'd finished our mains...
Didn’t get drinks for 40 mins and was told by a waiter to not order the food
