About East Beach Cafe
Our food is classic English, including seaside favourites such as fresh, locally caught fish, East Beach beef burger, day boat fish soup and traditional fish & chips with pea puree. Additionally, we feature some of the best cuisine inspired by beach holidays abroad including our most popular dish, salt & pepper squid with chilli.
As always, great food, service and atmosphere. Will be back again soon.
East Beach Cafe delivers exactly what it says on the tin: fabulous fresh food, excellent service all in a stunning piece of architecture! Not to be missed!
Delicious food, buzzy atmosphere, amazing views.
The staff were lovely
We were celebrating a birthday and we had the ideal lunch to do just that. Thank you especially to the waitresses who were both friendly and attentive and of course to the team behind in the kitchen.
Most of the meals were excellent but the Calamares were slightly over cooked, too rubbery. Excellent location.
Have been many times now to East Beach Cafe and love the design and location. On this occasion while staff are friendly there is just a slight lack of awareness - drinks on table, getting the order right with the right table Will be back as do enjoy eating and being there especially with the great summer weather
We always look forward to eating at the East Beach Cafe - we have been coming (though not often, as we live an hour's drive away) since it first opened. I think an extra vegetarian dish (or even vegan these days,) would be good, and also an extra meat dish - something simple but tasry!
Perfect evening out at East Beach Cafe...lovely atmosphere, fantastic food and excellent service.
Although my table was reserved, we did not have enough cutlery, and the waitress had to be asked to provide some.
Very nice crab salad sitting overlooking the sea.....lovely!!!!
Lovely evening with amazing views of the sea across the beach. We all felt like they were on holiday.
A really enjoyable lunch - could not have been better. And the sun was shining
The staff were all very welcoming and service excellent. The Quirky building sympathetic to the Shoreline made it very special. The entertainment on our second visit was a lovely surprise. Unfortunately we were only on holiday otherwise we would become regular visitors. Good website easy to book on line.
We all enjoyed the fathers day lunch with you. While we waited outside for table to be ready it was very windy maybe a canoe/covered area for waiting would be good. Many thanks
Completely wonderful afternoon, thank you so much East Beach Cafe. Music from the Caws - awesome, food - delicious, service - perfectly lovely and so patient with us, atmosphere - 100% view - the best - will be returning very soon. So easy to get there, direct trains from all stations on the London main line and a lovely little walk to the cafe from the station. Loved it!
great music fun atmosphere and service, food was fine not amazing but nice fish and chips
This is the first time we have eaten there and it won't be the last for sure! My crab linguine was the best I have ever eaten by a long way and the fish dishes eaten but the others, again super, however, the only thing that let the Café down was the service. The staff were quick, polite, efficient, and though very apologetic, it was 55 minutes between the starters being cleared away and the main course arriving, which was not ideal + we were not the only table with the same issue. This would not stop us eating there again, considering we are 90 minutes drive away, but if this wait happened again, we would not be making a 3rd visit.
Lovely venue, and interesting and varied menu. We were offered cushions for the chairs on our arrival which was a nice touch but the crab linguini was very disappointing and I would have expected something tastier for the price. It was under seasoned and dry and I would not have known I was eating crab.
Staff were very good. Friendly and helpful. Food was very good quality and worth the price. We had a very good lunch and will definately come again. Only slight area of improvement would be to do something about the acoustics of the cafe. When full it gets very noisy as the walls are bare and sounds echo around the cafe.
Despite the negative reviews recently we decided to give this a try (having been several times years ago) and we weren’t disappointed. It’s lovely as ever - especially on a warm sunny day. It’s a cafe not a restaurant so expect informality, families and relaxed casualness. Salt and pepper squid to start was succulent, tasty and lovely. And the fish and chips excellent. Others in my party had smoked mackerel salad and beetroot and goats cheese risotto both of which went down very well. Service was attentive, prompt and amiable. As a beachfront cafe it’s much better than most.
I love this beachfront restaurant. The outlook from this amazing looking building is fantastic. The fresh seafood we had was delicious and the service attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend The East beach Cafe in Littlehampton to family and friends.
