I booked 2 games of bowling for 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) which was lots of fun, following this we I had a table booked for food, we sat down at 2.30 ordered food and drinks, we were informed that the full menu wasn’t available. There were only 3 other tables waiting on food, at 3.30 (1hour later) we got our starter of onion rings. At 4pm we decided that we had waited long enough, without any customer service or explanation, so we advised the waitress to cancel our order as we were leaving, she told us the food was on its way and we could have it boxed up!?! We explained that it was to late and the service had been appalling, at no point had any member of staff come to us to explain the situation, we should have been given regular updates and maybe even offered complimentary drinks/nachos to tide us over while we waited but to be told nothing is very rude and poor customer service, this was really disappointing as the 4 of us don’t get to see each other very often and this day had been planned for a while, we spoke to the manager on leaving and all he could offer was an apology and hoped our next visit would be better!! We certainly won’t be visiting again and I wouldn’t recommend the establishment as our day out was completely spoilt and we were not the only table to complain
Unfortunately we waited well over an hour for our food to arrive, when it did a lot of the order was mixed up and some of it was cold. There were several options not available on the menu and I was told it was because a delivery hadn’t arrived. The fact that it was a birthday treat plus we had a one year old with us who really couldn’t be expected to be patient for over an hour, meant the whole meal was a very disappointing experience. Thankfully we bowled first and that was a very positive experience.
Bad food, not enough staff and had to tell parents who'd come to pick their kids up from my party that their kids haven't been given lunch. The manager apologised and gave is a discount but the experience was what we when tfoe and that was ruined by the food service and quality of what did come out. Staff were friendly enough and tried their best but won't be going back or recommending.
Waited 1 hr for nachos starter and another 1 for our bugers and chips! Not very nice food. Would not go again.
Good food and a nice place, however incredibly slow considering it wasn’t busy
We really enjoyed our first time here. Food was fab and service was really very good. Family visit for 15th birthday treat. Will return
Enjoyed my visit to dog bowl as we used the bowling beer and burger deal for £11. The reservation was confirmed really fast so good service from them. The food was good, the chips were good and so was the burger. My only criticism is that the cheese was cheese sauce instead of proper cheese, however it was still nice. The beer included a good choice so overall I was really happy. The bowling included 1 game which was still good value for money. I would definitely use this offer again.
Always a great vibe here...staff are fantastic and u mean that. I have autistic children they love it here. Even with friends we've visited (adults only) they've loved it too
Held a surprise party and it was great! Always careful about asking friends to come along to parties as you don't want to pick a place that makes people worry about cost and quality. My friends varie from students to working professionals and they all enjoyed the atmosphere and value for money. Great start to a night out in town.
they changed my booking to a different day and didn’t tell me, however the girl serving was really polite and sorted the situation out. the food was disappointing, we waited an hour for food and the order was wrong when it arrived.
The set up and facilities are excellent and the staff were very helpful.
Good deals but menu has only a few options. Good burgers though.
We were actually really disappointed with our meal last night. Despite having 50% off the food, our order was wrong when it came out. The kids meals had no fries. We waited at least half an hour for our main course after our starters and yet despite the wait our food was only like warm and not particularly good. There was a long wait for our drinks as well and there was not many other customers in the venue eating or drinking. There was one waitress who had a short brown Bob who was actually lovely and kept apologising for the mistakes. We have been here several times before and haven't had an issue, however on this occasion we felt very unhappy with our meal. The bowling was good apart from a technical hitch for about 5 minutes, and was very accommodating with our children.
Absolutely shocking service due to understaffing Once the food did arrive I found a blade from the vegetable peeler in my superfood salad to which the waitress didn’t even apologise for - just took my plate away I did receive a refund for the salad but did think the whole meal should have be refunded since the rest of my party were (as I was) put off the food after finding the blade!!! I would have tried to explain this to the waitress but to be honest just wanted to get out as soon as possible after such a bad experience
Group with kids. Staff performed well and everything was on time. The drink menu was better than most other venues. Enjoyed our visit
Great place to have some fun and lovely food
Probably one of the best burgers I’ve had in Manchester, and the waitress was lovely and polite.
Festive burger package was great. Would definitely recommend.
Great atmosphere and really appreciated the Christmas crackers, I was however a little disappointed at the portion sizes of the food considering it was £20pp, it took a good 15/20 minutes for all the food to come out too resulting in food going cold as we didn't want to leave people out. The food was lovely though and we really enjoyed the bowling too
Organisation beforehand was good. On the day though was very average despite it not being busy.
Hi My team enjoyed the night at Dog Bowl. However there was lack of service at our table. For example no one sat us down we had to find out where to go. Also at 7pm i had to find out where the food was. when the food was booked for 6.45pm. Food slowly came up a plate at a time. therefore once dishes were all on buffet table the chips and ribs had gone cold. I also had to request more plates and cutlery as there was not enough given. It was a same as food, drinks and bowling were great. Just think maybe the staff were too busy. thanks chanele
We absolutely loved the bowling and atmosphere in Dog Bowl - it's not my first time and i'd definitely return. The women on the desk who sorted our booking was amazing and even took picture of the scores afterwords for us - above and beyond for our experience! However, when it came to a sit down meal. We were not overly impressed. We was missing items from our buffet. I asked a member of staff to check this but nothing got sorted. All party members felt the food was a little overpriced for what we received. As a Christmas party - I expected a little more detail in ensuring the best possible experience. In our entire time sat down eating, not one staff member attended to us to see how we was getting on or whether we required anything else - it required us getting up to complain about the buffet which never got resolved anyway. We paid £15pp for what I feel could of been spent better elsewhere!
