About Dog Bowl
Dog Bowl is Manchester's premier late-night bowling alley, bar and diner.
The venue features the signature Black Dog style complete with five full length ten pin bowling lanes.
With unique ball dispensers, gleaming wooden floors, delicious cocktails and fantastic American style dishes made with only the best local produce.
We booked our sons 7th birthday party for 18 children. It was great! the venue is small and compact to ensure it feels personal, the staff are very friendly and helpful but allow you to look after your own party. The food is of a very high quality and went down a storm. The price is one of the cheapest we found for this type of party. A few Moms also enquired to future parties for their own children. We totally recommend :)
Thanks again for an excellent night. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.
We booked ahead whilst en route to Manchester for a gig, staff let a guy on a laptop sit on the reserved table so had to stand around for 15 minutes waiting for him to pack up and leave, staff didn't really rush him either was a bit odd. We ordered from the bar food and drinks to save some time, the Tiki Long Island tea cocktail tasted like water, don't think it had any actual alcohol in it. We order the beef n bourbon burger, the lane closer burger, wings and mac n cheese. Mac n cheese and wings and beef n borubon burger were very good. Lane closer burger was a huge disappointment, was served in a plastic basket with holes in so tipped over to the side when coming out of kitchen, all the sauce then dripped onto table, partner could not even pick up his burger was a total mess, he only ended up eating the meat out of it as was impossible to navigate. Would recommend the mac n cheese but don't bother with the lane closer burger or the cocktails. Table was sticky and not wiped after laptop guy left.
Hi - we had a great time bowling, however the food really let the side down. We were booked for 12:30 an asked to arrive on time, which we did. the food did not arrive until about 45 minutes later, yet our booking for bowling was for 13:30. The food was miniscule in portion - at the end the guys did bring out some extra nachos and chicken wings. We had £15 buffets ordered along with a few vegetarian orders, and we barely had enough for a small plate each. We never quite knew the reason, but it was mentioned that there was some type of "problem in the kitchen". At the end there was a reduction from our bill, but I would be reluctant to book again with a large group given the service we received.
Good atmosphere in the evening here;: good to come with friends for some bowling.. cocktails are great here!!
Great way to spend a couple of hours at the weekend
Had a really good time but the food took ages to come but it was good when it came
took my 3 daughter there for a pre-theatre birthday meal tonight. I reserved a table via their website and informed them it was a celebration, I had two confirmation email regarding my booking. We Arrived and they didn't have our booking and said, just sit anywhere. We sat down and looked through the menu. it was a good kids offer. so we went for two kids 3 course meal and drinks and two adults meals. the meals arrived...the adult course was EXACTLY the same size as the children's portion ...but DOUBLE the price. When I informed the waitress about this, she simply responded with, "children get discounts" this is not good enough. moving on from this, I took a sip of my 'cocktail' to taste only mango juice and froth...no alcohol. I ignored this and proceeded to the chips, but after one bite I was unpleasantly surprised with a very poignant taste of salt. I asked my daughter's what their chips were like and they said "really really salty!". Getting quite annoyed at this point I asked my eldest if she was enjoying her BBQ wings. let's just say she needed several glasses of water and her lips were burning. definitely not BBQ. I called a waitress and told her, and she agreed the chips were extremely salty and also agreed that the BBQ sauce was exceptionally hot. we were offered complimentary chips...which never came. overall the meals were no other than disgusting. however the restaurant did provide very good entertainment with the bowling alleys which kept the children intrigued even just to watch. on the conclusion, I really do not recommend if your looking for an enjoyable meal
We had a really great time. The only thing that disappointed me was the food. I had the all American breakfast, but unfortunately it was quite cold.
Service was friendly and quick. Food was delicious. Will definitely go back!
The staff at Dog Bowl were great and we have a brilliant office night out. The half price drinks offer and buffet made it affordable so I'm sure we'll do this again.
Thank you for a great night. The staff were brilliant and such nice people. We had a large group of people but everything was made easy for us and we all had a brilliant time
Booked the breakfast and bowling offer, really good value for money at £13 per person. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, would recommend a visit!
I organised a work do and we bought the bowling and burger package. Bowling was fun but food got delivered after 1.5 hours as one of the waiters who was new didn't put it through correctly. Manager came over offered a free drink but blamed it on "system error".
We had a great time!
we booked a big group of 22 people food buffet so lso coming out that it was cold time everyone ate and quality was not great frot he price we paid.
