Beef was very fatty & both beef & yorkshires were cold. Apple crumble desert was lovely
Taken to Byron's Restaurant as a birthday surprise and it was wonderful from start to finish. All of the food and wine was absolutely delicious, the staff were really lovely and surroundings are beautiful.
will be back,,,,,,,, all staff very good, food and service wonderful,,,,,,,
First visit to Seaham Hall. Had Afternoon Tea. It was fab. Great selection of food. Even took some home that we couldn't manage to eat. Staff were excellent.
Menu and waitress didn't explain about side dishes both what was available and cost at any time during our three evening meals. The whole experience was a let down but maybe I live in the real world and not the type of visitor you pamper to. Service was good but got fed up with constantly being asked how the food was which seemed more like a script than genuine interest.
Loved the new tasting menu with the wine pairing!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Bryon'a. The food was amazing and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Sunday lunch was delicious however it could have benefit from having more gravy. Afternoon spa was good value for money. Staff were fantastic throughout our experience. Would definitely return. Thank you.
Excellent service good food
The food was gorgeous and you all were sooo friendly .. thanks for making my stay at Seaham an awesome experience!
The restaurant is beautiful, combining the traditional and modern very well. Without exception, all the staff were friendly and efficient. We had the tasting menu and the quality of the ingredients was first class. Every dish tasted delicious however, presentation could have been improved as some dishes were lost inside high sided bowls, when a plate would have been better. A couple of the dishes lacked an element mentioned on the menu but this did not distract from the overall flavours. Highly recommended for a relaxing and special evening meal.
The food was excellent and we particularly enjoyed the wine flyte offer. Would also congratulate Heidi on the personal service she gave us - even typing up a recipe from the Chef for us to take home!!!
Amazing restaurant, great ambiance , great food. We will definitely be returning.
We wouldn't eat in the restaurant again even though we are returning to Seaham The food was poor, my partner ordered the leek and literally that was all it was. In our opinion very costly meal for what we received. We do eat in a lot of beautiful restaurants so I feel it important to give constructive, yet fair comments Beautiful restaurant, service amazing, fantastic staff. So as I say not all bad. Perhaps we were in on an unfortunate night....
Lovely relaxed atmosphere Good tasty food presented elegantly
We paid for the taster menu except you missed out 1 savoury course. By the time you responded after being notified we had already been given a dessert. We were given an additional dessert as an apology but neither I or my fiancee are massive sweet lovers. This ruined the meal. We also feel your portions are little more than canapés. We have tried over half a dozen taster menus and none have been as miniscule as Byron's. Definitely not value for money
Nice staff, food was lovely however this was altered at the last minute
Very tasty food , esp enjoyed the ox cheek. Wine served too warm and had to be chilled offline Excellent service
Lovely afternoon tea in fabulous surroundings
Came for our 40th wedding anniversary absolutely fantastic will come again .big thank you to think his name was Steven for showing us around the spa big thank you ray anne copeland
Everything was perfect. One of the best meals I have ever had - in a wonderful environment.
when I first looked at the menu I struggled to find anything that either me or my husband would chose to eat . All very fussy but as we were on a dinner inclusive meal we had to select something. Portion sizes for starter and main were small, luckily the waitress did recommend we order side orders, dessert size was good.? Having struggled with our choices I do however have to say the end result was very tasty.
Hello, We recently stayed at Seham hall and booked the Byrons restaurant for our evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Seham and the hotel and spa facilities were fantastic. The real let down was the food. The selection available was a little disappointing and the quality was not what was expected. I do wish for it to be said that the service was fantastic and the server and I believe manager did go out their way to make he best of the situation. We were offered replacements however my partner sent his starter back as the Scollaps he ordered were very over cooked and were a consistency of rubber so much so the knife wouldn't cut brought them and I left the majority of my starter also as it was not what I expected at all. We did think that was probably just unfortunate but being that we both ordered the same main of cod we were then very disappointed with this also. The fish had a bitter taste and wad not the soft texture one would expect from fresh cod. The edges appeared dry which led me to think it had probably been frozen which was disappointing being that we were so close to the sea. The waitress could tell we were not enjoying the meal and did offer other alternatives. The service itself was fantastic and I appreciate that they did go out their way. Unfortunately the dining experience was not as expected however. I would return to seham hall again however would not probably chance another meal in the restaurant.
