About dim t Hampstead
The original dim t is set in the centre of beautiful Hampstead, a great location for an afternoon catch up or meeting place for families and groups. With a stunning design set over two floors this is the perfect location for gatherings or just a quick lunch.
Everything was lovely and would have love to come back but I found the tables were far too close to each other which made conversation uncomfortable and even hard to leave when we left the restaurant. I know it’s a small restaurant but it didn’t make you want to stay there as we could hear every ones chatter.
Delicious food, cosy setting and very friendly staff!
We love coming back to our local branch for lovely food served quick and in good atmosphere
We always come here for any special occasion, on Friday 27th booked at 8:30, I have showed my free processor bottle and I told them that I’m driving could I take it home instead. They said no so I said fair enough, they could at least change it to slice of cake of something. Really felt let down. The reason I went there is for my birthday and was not made it to be like that. I won’t be going due to lack of customer care the food was good.
Unfortunately my experience was not great - I do not eat any chilly food and when I asked the waiter if the Bang Bang Chicken salad had any chilly or spice on it he said it did not. The peanut salad sauce has quite a lot of chilly, so I ended up not eating my dish. When I talked to a second waiter about it, he said I never mentioned about not eating chilly when I ordered from him and I explained that I ordered from another waiter (which he seemed not to believe, weirdly enough). When actual waiter that I ordered from was enquired about my issue, he said he did not understand my request, which seemed like just an excuse to me, as I explained in plain English that I don't like any chilly at all. Ultimately, they did not charge for my dish, which I think is was fair, but I left the restaurant hungry and annoyed with the service.
Had a great meal at Dimt. Haven't been for a while and really liked to revamped menu - simple with great choice. Service was super friendly - and it was a busy Saturday night - way better than on previous visits - clearly a great team in there!
My Thai Green Curry was lovely, but my family's food wasn't great, the sweet potato fries were terrible, the restaurant was cold, so had to leave our coats on the whole time, and it was also silent (as in no music to create good atmosphere on ambience). So overall it was a rather underwhelming experience at the dim t in Hampstead.
Lovely meal, thoughtful touch to have flower and glass of fizz for Mothers Day! Staff were very nice.
All staff were great the service was great as usual and the food too
We like to call ourselves regulars at dim t Hampstead... we’ve been going for years and now our kids love it too. But the food has gone down the last couple of times we’ve visited. It’s bland, over cooked, not fresh, fatty and smaller portion sizes. Yesterday o had the gyoza soup and the noodles were soggy and the broth had no taste at all. My daughters bento box was cold, over cooked rice and fish. My other daughter had the duck and pancakes; the duck was dry and the vegetables looked like they were old. I’ve never complained before but as we love this place I feel it necessary as we would like to come back. We always visit on a Sunday lunch. changes have to be made to the cooking in order for us to return. I know that the head chef left a couple of months ago, but the current chef is bringing down the quality of the food.
The green curry was watery and the phad Thai was much smaller than normal
The Thai Yellow Curry was below par and though I returned the dish, it was not taken off the bill. It barely resembled a Thai Curry and tasted as if it had yoghurt in it. However, the manager did give us a discount for giving us a table right by the door and not moving us in as promised. Food was average, setting was nice. I probably won't return.
Fantastic service with friendly, fun staff. Great food. One of my favourite places to go.
I love dim t, the food is always brilliant, the service is fantastic and the staff are so accommodating to amend the dishes slightly so you get exactly what you want!
Great staff. So attentive. Delicious food and great ambience. We'll come back again and again and again!
Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Small and cosy place. The spring rolls as a starter was very nice. I ordered the vegetarian Katsu curry as a main- this lacked flavour and was very dissapointing.
Disappointed that the restaurant chooses to charge for the bottle of tap water that is placed on the table before you arrive. That feels very underhand. It spoilt an otherwise very good experience.
Awful. Lost order 20 mins after ordering meant we waited nearly an hour for food. Table next to us received completely undercooked chicken. Seemed like none of the staff knew what was going on. 20% was taken off our bill but wouldn’t go back regardless.
I booked for a group of 10 people including adults, teenagers and young children on a busy Sunday afternoon. It was a fantastic experience with delicious food to delight us all, incredibly attentive staff and importantly it was very affordable! we will definitely eat at dim t again and recommend it to all our family and friends. Thank you!
Amazing food and service
Lovely staff, great dim sum.
Delicious food and great service!
Sadly the atmosphere was ruined by the table next to us who were extremely messy Food debris was on the adjoining seating
Lovely food. Just felt a bit rushed
