About dim t Hampstead
The original dim t is set in the centre of beautiful Hampstead, a great location for an afternoon catch up or meeting place for families and groups. With a stunning design set over two floors this is the perfect location for gatherings or just a quick lunch.
Tasty food and friendly service.
Good fun but slightly slow service!
Very nice food and good fast service with lovely people that served me.
Very friendly and helpful staff and nice atmosphere.very baby friendly place, great high chair!we had a nice dim sum selection and ntasty noodles!
Thoroughly enjoyable meal. Great service, buzzing atmosphere. Will be coming again soon!
I had booked a table online and got a confirmation email only to turn up and have the manager/waiter say there is no booking under my name. I showed him the confirmation email for him to still say they cant do anything as they haven't got the booking on the system. This was very annoying as we has obviously booked. We had to wait around oitside for a table to become free which took about 30 mins. The food and drinks are fab but very annoying that their booking system has faults and nothing was done about it or our booking.
We’ve been going to Dim T for years now. We are very sad to say it has really gone down hill, although the staff are lovely, the service is very slow and the food has so gone down hill. It has been one of your favourite restaurants but it’s now poor.
We went there with 4 children and noticed that Children's portions ( Dim Sum Basket) was very small/had shrunk, and some of the pieces very very spicy for children so we had to order an extra item from the main menu to feed the children. One of the children had the Japanese rice which was nice. As for the service, it was an exceptionally busy day after our school's speech day - full of children - but the staff tried their best.
Great food but service was a bit slow and our orders were missed. We did get these on the house though.
Need more waiters!!
Terrible service was blamed on the new computerised ordering system. In the end our party of 3 got only two main courses, so two of us had to share, because we were running out of time. The food we had was excellent, but I won't be coming back soon. Need to give them time to sort out the problems.
The food was ok, service was good, the most disappointing order was the duck, which was very poor value for money, this was a very small portion of duck served on the same plate as the small portion of cucumber and spring onion, the sauce was served in a small bowel that was also on the same plate that had spilt over the vegetables. I’ve looked forward to going to this restaurant for a long time , but I was disappointed.
Lovely food and gorgeous restaurant. Drinks were delicious. Good size menu and the dim sum starters were great. Would definitely return.
The restaurant was full of flies. It was very off putting. We told the waiter and he was aware of the problem. It was very unhygienic. I won’t ever be returning.
I eat lots of dim sum and am a vegetaraian. I have not found better dumplings anywhere and the service is always faultless. Thank you Dim T
Everything was lovely and would have love to come back but I found the tables were far too close to each other which made conversation uncomfortable and even hard to leave when we left the restaurant. I know it’s a small restaurant but it didn’t make you want to stay there as we could hear every ones chatter.
Delicious food, cosy setting and very friendly staff!
We love coming back to our local branch for lovely food served quick and in good atmosphere
We always come here for any special occasion, on Friday 27th booked at 8:30, I have showed my free processor bottle and I told them that I’m driving could I take it home instead. They said no so I said fair enough, they could at least change it to slice of cake of something. Really felt let down. The reason I went there is for my birthday and was not made it to be like that. I won’t be going due to lack of customer care the food was good.
Unfortunately my experience was not great - I do not eat any chilly food and when I asked the waiter if the Bang Bang Chicken salad had any chilly or spice on it he said it did not. The peanut salad sauce has quite a lot of chilly, so I ended up not eating my dish. When I talked to a second waiter about it, he said I never mentioned about not eating chilly when I ordered from him and I explained that I ordered from another waiter (which he seemed not to believe, weirdly enough). When actual waiter that I ordered from was enquired about my issue, he said he did not understand my request, which seemed like just an excuse to me, as I explained in plain English that I don't like any chilly at all. Ultimately, they did not charge for my dish, which I think is was fair, but I left the restaurant hungry and annoyed with the service.
Had a great meal at Dimt. Haven't been for a while and really liked to revamped menu - simple with great choice. Service was super friendly - and it was a busy Saturday night - way better than on previous visits - clearly a great team in there!
My Thai Green Curry was lovely, but my family's food wasn't great, the sweet potato fries were terrible, the restaurant was cold, so had to leave our coats on the whole time, and it was also silent (as in no music to create good atmosphere on ambience). So overall it was a rather underwhelming experience at the dim t in Hampstead.
Lovely meal, thoughtful touch to have flower and glass of fizz for Mothers Day! Staff were very nice.
All staff were great the service was great as usual and the food too
We like to call ourselves regulars at dim t Hampstead... we’ve been going for years and now our kids love it too. But the food has gone down the last couple of times we’ve visited. It’s bland, over cooked, not fresh, fatty and smaller portion sizes. Yesterday o had the gyoza soup and the noodles were soggy and the broth had no taste at all. My daughters bento box was cold, over cooked rice and fish. My other daughter had the duck and pancakes; the duck was dry and the vegetables looked like they were old. I’ve never complained before but as we love this place I feel it necessary as we would like to come back. We always visit on a Sunday lunch. changes have to be made to the cooking in order for us to return. I know that the head chef left a couple of months ago, but the current chef is bringing down the quality of the food.
