About Di Maggio's Hamilton
Our restaurant in Hamilton has a bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere and like all Di Maggio’s branches is very family-friendly. While colouring pads, puzzles and crayons keep the kids amused, the parents like Di Maggio’s Hamilton for its regular cabaret dinners, which feature a three course dinner followed by live entertainment from some of Scotland’s best Tribute Acts.
Our dedicated team in Hamilton pride themselves on serving home-cooked quality Italian cuisine in a family-friendly atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. The full Di Maggio’s menu is on offer alongside great value lunch and pre-theatre deals and there is also a full carry-out and delivery service available.
Sunday lunch so not a lot of 'atmosphere'. Would return asfood was good and service friendly.
Love this restaurant, my boyfriend and I often visit and enjoy margarita and Diavalo pizza. On this visit I requested carbonara Italian style which the waitress happily asked the chef to make for me as it was not on the menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Always a pleasurable visit.
We have been visiting di maggios for years and really love the family vibe also soft play area is a great addition to this restaurant
very nice meal at a good price, very happy with the service and the location
Nice evening overall. Arancini balls arrived cold in the middle but they were quickly replaced. Would have preferred a seat further from child's play area but I realise mothers day is a busy night.
Lovely restaurant - great service. The soft play area is perfect for kids!
The food was lovely, was very busy as it was mothers day but the atmosphere was nice. Service was OK, waited a while for drinks but it was very busy so appreciate this, however when trying to phone and confirm our reservation I was hung up on numerous times and the lady who eventually answered the phone was quite rude. The food was quickly served though. Good value for money. Will definitely be back our daughter loved the soft play area.
Great meal for a great value, been more than once. And will keep coming. And a great pint.
Nacho's where really spicy. Meatballs where not cooked through and cold in the middle
Staff were very helpful couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted
Food was realky nice but me and my partner like coca cola or pepsi full fat with our meal and we couldnt get this. Becase of this i would not return as this wasted our meal.
Staff were fantastic
We didn’t experience the “family friendly” approach Di Maggios claims to have. The staff closed the soft play area which was open to the children during our meal while they were enjoying playing. I’d requested a table near the soft play area and was placed at the furthest away table possible. Our waitress was very helpful. However when we asked another member of staff for crayons for daughter she sighed and thumped them down on our table in the most awful manner. The food was cold and tasteless. On the way in my daughter noticed the bowl of lollipops and asked for one, I told her she’d need to wait until she had eaten. On leaving she asked at the bar for a lolly and was told by the manager there that they were all gone now?! I’m assuming that after 7pm Di Maggios turns into a fine dining restaurant where children aren’t welcome? We certainly won’t be back! The only reason I have given 1 star is because there is no option to give none!!!!
Excellent meal and friendly helpful staff
Burger with side of peppercorn sauce was basic at best, pizza, pasta, stroganoff and chicken were all fine. They were a bit presumptuous about firing on a £13 tip to our bill, but to be fair that’s roughly what we would have left. DEFINITELY won’t order a burger again, would opt for something else.
Great food and service on Valentine's Day
Always enjoy our visit to Di Maggios. The kids love the little play area. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great food and fab service
Our food & service was lovely. The manager and staff could not have been anymore helpful. We will definitely be back.
Always a nice place to eat and the staff are very friendly too !
Problem was the car park absolute nightmare had put me off returning to the restaurant again
Best steak I have had in a long time.
Me and my Partner were at the Hamilton Di Maggios on Friday Night. We both Ordered Ying Yang Chicken for a starter. My partners chicken was cooked perfectly, mines was raw when i cut into it. Not undercooked but raw. I complained and asked for Nachos instead. They were nice. Main courses were okay, the menu said mines came with seasonal veg along with either Chips, Mash or Rice of your choice. Never got any veg. Chicken was ok but didnt tast fresh. We asked for the bill and saw they had charged for the the 2 ying yang chicken and not the Nachos which was fine as i still ate my starter. I asked the girl if both starters were the same price which she replied yes. Only to find out on Monday through the website that the nachos are about 70p cheaper. Sounds ridiculous that im moaning about 70p, my point being is that a shouldnt have paid for any starter after you serving raw chicken but i still did even though i regret this now. There was no sincere apology from any the staff. I wont be back and i will make sure i let friends and family know of this. Di Maggios used to be one of my Favourite places to eat but it has seriously went down hill. Such a shame.
We visit Di Magios in Hamilton quite often. It is our four year old sons favourite restaurant due to the great soft play area. However yesterday when we went the restaurant was extremely busy, we asked to sit next to the play area as our 18 month old son is on his feet now and if he wanted to go into the play area we could keep an eye on him. However he couldn’t get to use the play area because there were masses of older children who were over the height restriction using the area to be incredibly violent and rough with each other. Our four year old son was able to keep himself safe however there was no way our younger son would’ve been safe with at least fifteen older children running after and pushing each other around, at the time there was also 4/5 more small children in the area getting caught in the crossfire. At one point one of the children ran out of the area and tripped over my sons high chair nearly throwing him from the high chair. This wasn’t a great experience for us however the staff were great, the manager spoke to all of the children about their behaviour and keeping safe and came to make sure our son was ok. We love Di magios Hamilton and this won’t stop us from coming back however I feel that it must be stipulated that children of a certain age must not use the area of little children are around!!!
Excellent experience with family and friends to celebrate a birthday.
