Delicious food! Helpful and kind staff :) would definitely come back
Booked a table for 2 last minute on the same day and really glad we went here. Unusual tasty food in a great atmosphere and quick delivery of food. I can recommend the sharing platter, especially the crispy chicken, but cant remember the name of it. Will definitely go back to this restaurant again.
The food and service were good. The restaurant itself however was cold. It's no fun eating dinner in your coat! We did ask for the heating to be turned up but it made little difference I'm afraid.
Good atmosphere, good service, good food.
Friendly staff - well organised and good food! Worth a visit
Tried new dishes that I’ve never had before on a recommendation from a chap in the restaurant. Lovely food. Friendly staff.
I love this restaurant. It’s a uniquely friendly & cosy curry restaurant in the city centre where food and service are always excellent. Thank you for another great evening.
Friendly staff, welcomed on arrival. Quick service and most importantly really tasty food. For me as a Coeliac, a a great selection of gluten free food.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great service!
Amazing food, great service and atmosphere.
A great find, fabulous food, couldn’t fault anything. Saag paneer was lovely
We were a group of six and all had something different which was a great way to have a taster of lots of dishes. All delicious! Great to have so much choice of gluten free food
Really great food and nice atmosphere. Clear marking on menu of what is gluten free which was really helpful. We'll be back again soon for more tasty food.
Amazing food and really went the extra mile for my husbands birthday! ☆☆☆☆☆
We really enjoyed our meal here. The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious.
Lovely food and atmosphere. Service was great apart from a bit of a wait on a second round of drinks, but I appreciate that there was also a large table of diners to attend to. Overall, brilliant and I'll be coming back.
Hello Dhamaka team, First things first - I would say, service here was GREAT! The attentiveness, friendliness, speed, responsiveness - there was everything about the service. For the food, I was having great expectations which was little disappointing for me. For the amount of information I had read about the Chef's experience and the places he has worked... I am sorry to say I could not get the match. Of all the food I had, so far couple of times, the chats/ starters seemed to be on the winning edge. For the taste, uniqueness it has to be chats/ starters. However when I speak about mains, I could feel few short comings in comparison to the many many similar Indian restaurants I have been. The curry portions were smaller for their price, interesting enough the vegetables used weren't tender or may be cooked in haste. The Naans could have been more crispier. The rice grains could have been more softer and unbroken. All in all, it was a good experience but couldnt live up to the expectations that had built up in me knowing for the fact that Chef has been trained under Sanjeev Kapoor and also have been working in some Michelin Starred restaurants!
A varied and interesting menu, good service, and a real passion for the food. Overall an excellent evening and will now be my regular when I’m in Bristol
Dhamaka is one of my favourite restaurants and I have recommended it to many people.
Amazing Indian tapas and cocktails at great value
This is simply the best Indian I've been to in Bristol, and one of my all-time favourite restaurants. We came for a birthday meal and were welcomed incredibly warmly. The venue may not be as smart as others in the area, but it is vibrant and quirky, with a very attentive and friendly staff. Above all, the food is sublime. We had a number of vegetarian options that tasted delicious, incredibly aromatic and flavoursome. The menu is very varied without any real restrictions on the Wriggle deal. I'd particularly recommend this restaurant to veggies - there's no compromise here!
Fantastic service and good vegan choices. Serving a cake for hubby's birthday was a wonderful personal touch and would highly recommend the food, atmosphere and staff. Great value for money and will certainly return next time we are visiting Bristol
