We are able to hold your table for 15 minutes
Tables will be available for 90 minutes from the time you have chosen to reserve the table.
Too expensive - the food is fine but as outstanding as you seem to think. Also, need more than one choice of red wine by the glass
Fantastic food and very attentive service. We look forward to our next visit !
Love the food, styling and service It’s a great restaurant
Most disappointed with our food I ordered the spring chicken it was dried up! My wife chose the duck quality ok but was covered with unappetising vegetables Definitely not our type of menu Very limited poor value for money
We had an excellent meal though we were a little disappointed to be asked to make way for the next customers towards the end of our meal.
1st time for me. Worth it for sure.
Absolutely fantastic! Can’t wait to come back again.
Excellent food. Good wine selection. Great location. What more could you want
thanks for a delicious meal and kind service. i recommend that when a first time customer enters you interact with them, provide recommendations, ask them what they like and help them decide what to order.
Decor a bit spartan; acoustics not great. Tables somewhat close together but, when waiter trod on my protruding foot, they did offer a free dessert or hot drink, a nice gesture, although when I declined both, you'd think they might have knocked something else off the bill! Food generally good, albeit slightly on the heavy side, very meaty and too many dishes have tahini-based sauces. Generous portions. Buzzy atmosphere and pleasant service.
The food is extremely tasty and interesting. Portions are a bit large. Service was excellent.
Soup was very mediocre. Was told it was blended veg, came up as brown water with veg floating in it. Home made humous was runny and pitta was like ones from M&S not what you’d expect from a middle easters restaurant.
Great staff; really appreciated consideration of kids’ needs. Delicious and vibrant food.
This feedback form is a great initiative - as we left the restaurant on Monday, we were in fact wondering how we could possibly communicate our feedback to you. The reason why my wife and I were so eager to communicate to you our feedback is the following: We had already been at your restaurant for dinner in February and we couldn't stop telling our entourage about what a great culinary experience it had been. We finally came back this week - this time with a friend who had never been to Delicatessen and who had suggested another venue for dinner. We insisted that Delicatessen was a culinary discovery to be made. The service was still excellent (though the waiter that we were fortunate to have in February left a lasting positive impression that would be hard to beat). The food on the other hand - not at par with our first encounter at Delicatessen. We even ordered the Turkish pizza which had been our favourite item at the time in February. A same dish to use as a benchmark - unfortunately, the Turkish pizza from Monday night was nowhere to be compared with the one which we had in February. Chicken mesachen had more onion than chicken... it should be called onion mesachen. The other dishes did not entirely impress either. It's quite unfortunate - in our opinion, you had something quite good going on there and we would like to come back. With family and friends who will be visiting this summer, we had already pinpointed Delicatessen as our choice place to take visitors out for dinner. Is there any reason why the quality of the food has changed so much? It would be interesting to know. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide you some feedback. We hope to have the pleasure to enjoy Delicatessen again as we had initially come to know it. Kind regards, Joel
So so pleased you opened a quality kosher fine dining. Something the community has needed for years (if not decades) and so pleased it is out of the usual NW London Jewish locality. Well done and hope you are doing well.
We arrived about 3 minutes late for our 7pm booking. We ordered promptly; however the kubaneh was undercooked. I’ve eaten it plenty of times, and not like this. We asked for the Laffa instead. However we were still charged for the kubaneh when it should have been redacted for the laffa and Pitta which we only got because of the undercooked kubaneh. Following this our main course of Jaffa lamb skewers were raw and bloody; we had to send back to cook more... they were amazing once we started eating them after being cooked properly. The food was delicious but needed to be cooked. Once cooked everything was lovely but it took a while. This meant that we were rushed out of our seats as we finished our meal at 8.20 but wanted to order dessert so were rudely given the bill in a box quickly after and refused dessert. Ideally the establishment should have allowed us to get dessert because of the issue they had with undercooked meat. We waited for it to be cooked for an extra 10 mins or so. The booking at the table was for 90 mins; they should really allow at least 105 minutes for the experience.
90 minutes is not long enough to enjoy an evening meal with friends. In spite of us ordering quickly , there was a long delay between courses due to the inefficiency of the kitchen. The result was we no time for dessert and were presented with the bill before we had been served with our coffee. If I want a fast food joint then I would go to the Hummus Bar. I thought you were a fine food establishment. I sympathise with your need to maximise covers but rushing customers out is not a way to build your business. This is the second time running this has happened to us.
Food was exceptional! It’s not cheap but can’t fault quality!
Fantastic food and great lively atmosphere. It is lovely to feel as though you are in Tel Aviv in the middle of Hampstead. You feel as though you have gone out somewhere nice and it's Kosher! It's not cheap but wonderful for a special dinner out or a birthday outing with family or friends. The mixed grill could feed an army!
Amazing in every respect.
Nice atmosphere - little pricey and quite slow service - food tasty and well presented
Best restaurant in town!
Absolutely delicious food. Very unique menu full of different flavours and textures. Everything was delicious, from all the salads to the duck and chicken tagine. One of our friends had the fish special and loved it. Our kids loved the burger with facon. And the churros for desert were the perfect ending.
Alex was a great host to us. Food was excellent and the ambiance was fab..we'll be back!
