About Deans Restaurant
Known as Perth’s favourite restaurant, Deans Restaurant lives up to its claim by being consistently popular with locals as well as visitors to the town. With two AA Rosettes to its name and recently refurbished, Deans Restaurant serves excitingly vibrant modern Scottish cuisine, plundering the best of local produce to reflect the restaurant’s dedication to flavour and seasonality. The cocktail bar is a new edition where quirky serves and classics are shaken all made in house and to order. Husband and wife team Willie and Margo work together with their team to ensure every visit to Deans is perfect, combining a flair for excellent friendly and professional service and a passion for food. Willie, a Master Chef of Great Britain with more than twenty five years in the industry under his belt controls the kitchen, making the vast majority of the menu – breads, sauces, chocolates and the rest – by hand and from scratch. Unbeatably priced, Deans offers an array of menus including very purse friendly set choices and regular special offers available throughout the year.
Excellent food as always. Service was incredible.
Excellent lunch, good atmosphere.
Music quite loud
A delightful and memorable meal from start to finish, with friendly and helpful staff.
First class dinning experience.
Been coming to Dean's for several years..... never disappointed!
The food was absolutely incredible! Some of the best food I have ever had! The staff were great too, very helpful and couldn't do enough for you!
Great food as always. Lovely welcome and service
Excellent lunch. Friendly and efficient service.
Outstanding meal as always!
Fabulous meal as usual. Staff always polite and friendly.
We were put at a table of six, there was us at one end, a spare table with chairs and centre piece then another couple at the other end. This was fine for most of the evening despite hearing their phones pinging throughout our meal. Only, during their pudding the gentleman gave us a running commentary of the cheeses on his cheese board, followed by the 'mmmmmm' the lady made during every bite of her pudding. Admittedly we found this very funny, as we were finished our meal and were able to leave. My partner and I have never been placed at a table with another couple before and don't find this acceptable in all honesty. We don't sit on our phones during meals and found it very distracting listening to this couple taking pictures of every course (even though they were very beautifully presented). We just don't feel much thought went into the customer when the table plan was laid out. Admittedly the other couple were probably very distracted by our laughter which was a shame for them. This is the only thing we were disgruntled by as every course was absolutely beautiful and very well presented. We plan to dine with Dean's in the future, we just hope we aren't placed on a table with another couple!
Absolutely perfect meal, lovely presented and excellent customer service! Well done guys, keep up the good work.
Fantastic food will definitely be back
We enjoyed our meal very much but felt that the music was unnecessary and inappropriate. The best moment were the gaps between tracks when you could hear the happy chat of people enjoying their Sunday lunch!
Booked for 7pm, we were the only 2 in the restaurant, we ordered bread as an appetiser, the main meal came half way through, I felt the waitress could have asked us if we were ready for our mains. The wife’s main fish style dish was very nice, I had the hamburger which was flavoursome and well cooked, could have been a little thicker. The steaks on special offer that night did not have the weights of the cuts in the description, I think that removes any doubts on the size (Weight) of your steak when cooked. We had rum and cokes and were disappointed in the tall thin glasses they were presented in, I asked mine to be served in a nice whiskey style glass, presentation goes a long way in satisfying customers. Overall it has not put us off visiting you again in the future, we like to feel we are being constructive in our feedback.
The staff are friendly and attentive and as I have a dietry requirement, they explained everything I could or couldn't eat. The food was out of this world. We weren't rushed and felt relaxed all evening. Thank you
Great lunch, super value & enjoyable menu. Look forward to our next visit.
Delightful lunch, good food and service and the restaurant was warm. Will definitely re-visit
Lovely food & nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The decoration isn't really my cup of tea. The wall of flowers is pretty but odd & the lamps hanging from the ceiling are low enough that you could clatter your head off them when you stand up.
Chef and staff very accommodating in tweeking menu to suit preferences. Easy friendly service with relaxing vibes in restaurant.
No further comment needed 5*s says it all!
We greatly enjoyed our visit.
We had a fantastic lunch, the food was lovely, everyone enjoyed every course. We felt it was great value for money. Only complaint would be the restaurant was very cold, still heating up apparently after being closed for a break. Also we were given the wrong bottle of red wine, we never realised until we ordered another bottle, so it must have tasted ok! We’ll defiantly be back.
Great place to eat. We use this place fairly regularly and it is our restaurant of choice - unless we are in the mood for an Indian meal or similar. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food is first class and freshly cooked. Can't fault it - and their offers are really worth it as well.
