About Deans Restaurant
Known as Perth’s favourite restaurant, Deans Restaurant lives up to its claim by being consistently popular with locals as well as visitors to the town. With two AA Rosettes to its name and recently refurbished, Deans Restaurant serves excitingly vibrant modern Scottish cuisine, plundering the best of local produce to reflect the restaurant’s dedication to flavour and seasonality. The cocktail bar is a new edition where quirky serves and classics are shaken all made in house and to order. Husband and wife team Willie and Margo work together with their team to ensure every visit to Deans is perfect, combining a flair for excellent friendly and professional service and a passion for food. Willie, a Master Chef of Great Britain with more than twenty five years in the industry under his belt controls the kitchen, making the vast majority of the menu – breads, sauces, chocolates and the rest – by hand and from scratch. Unbeatably priced, Deans offers an array of menus including very purse friendly set choices and regular special offers available throughout the year.
another delicious meal my guest from Edinburgh was very impressed
Food was fantastic as always.
Delicious lunch. Looking forward to next Saturday for another wonderful lunch.
Excellent meal and fantastic service. A lovely lunch for our work’s Christmas Day out.
Excellent food and service
We had a lovely afternoon in Deans. Lovely food, good atmosphere, great company and excellent service. Will definitely return Thank you.
As always an excellent meal with friendly and attentive service. Looking forward to our next visit.
Beautiful food, excellent service.
Having returned to the restaurant for the third time i found the experience even better this time. There were more customers which gave the restaurant a better dynamic. As a child of the 50s and 60s i grew up with the idea that food in Scotland was a gastrononic challenge. This was a gastonomic experience of delight. The amuse bouche of crab with lime and coriander on a bed of thinly sliced apple with seaweed crisps was a delight of infused flavours and textures. This was followed by the pate which felt more like a parfait on the tounge as it was so light. The accompaningwarm apricots and seed granola was simply delicious. I requested a half portion of cheddar and cauliflower soup which had a lovely smooth texture and the finely sliced crisp spring onions within, lent a subtle dimension to it. The main of roasted cod fillet with seared scallops and a delicate row atop accompanied by smoked haddock boulangere was a step above and a delight to eat. The service was attentive and most of my food was presented by the chef himself helping out with service and light cit chat and descriotion of each course. I thought the main was the pinnacle of my meal, however, the dessert of subtley carmelised apple and blackberry rice pudding and cinnamon parfait with cookies was the finnishing touch to a sublime meal. No dining experience.
Another fantastic lunch reunion with friends. Food great, service great, atmosphere also great. We have already booked for our next one in February 2019.
Fabulous lunch. Couldn’t be better. Look forward to returning soon. Very nice staff.
Never disappointed at Deans Restaurant, wish we could eat here all the time! Attentive staff and all round excellence.
Our recent visit was fabulous as always and one of the waiting staff (sorry can’t remember her name) made my Mum feel extra special on her birthday . Food, ambience and service were all first class
Attentive staff & delicious food
Great food at a good price
Once again everything was lovely
Always love coming back to Deans - we don't manage out very often as we have a young family so when we do, we like to make it special and Deans provides everything we are looking for: superb food, stunning presentation, great atmosphere and first class service. Keep up the excellent work!
An amazing meal. So many incredible flavours which were perfected beautifully in each course. 😍
Such a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere and great food. My only negative is that we had to wait a bit too long to pay our bill after we had requested it.
Warm welcome on arrival and excellent food and service throughout. Can’t wait to try the coco snow cocktail!
Excellent food and service
Crab dish too salty. Venison dish confused with too much going on. Service lacking the spark it needs. Slightly over priced.
We are normally very pleased with our meal at Dean’s but we were disappointed on Saturday 24th when we had as our main meal, the chicken dish. It was not very hot and the sauce was more like a soup, it is the first time we have been disappointed. We did speak to the waiting staff about the meal not being as hot as we would have liked. We will be back.
The food was delicious. So many lovely flavours. Everything homemade from scratch. A lot of work put into preparation and so beautifully presented. Thank you for looking after us so well. Will be definitely be back.
Didn’t partake of wine so no,comment re drink hence low mark not meant as criticism
