Great food and views. Only 10 percent of the restaurant was in use and plenty of people working, but the the service was slow.
Went for breakfast on a bright clear morning. A mesmerising and truly spectacular vista of London, while enjoying the food. WHAT A WAY TO START THE DAY!
Was quiet and we were a party of 4. Would have been better if we could have sat next to the view however all of the tables were set for two, some of which were not taken. Second visit for me and my wife but first for the other couple who we invited. Also we had accepted a 4pm time and yet the day before it was changed to 3.00pm which didn't really suit as. With it being so quiet couldn't understand why the time was brought forward. Anyway, other than the above, the food and service were very good.
Very carefully with allergies issues.
Great place to treat yourself!
We tried to order drinks when we were placing our request for the main course as we did not want a starter. The waiter informed us he will send someone to take our drinks order. Our main course arrived but still no one came to take our order for drinks. I was only able to order the drinks by a signalling a waiter to take our order. We also had to ask a waiter to clear our plates. The menu stated it was a Sunday Roast but it only had one roast dinner which was roast beef. My daughter had the roast beef which she enjoyed as I had given up meat for lent I had the vegan shepherds pie. The potato topping was nice and had a nice flavour and a bit of a crunch but te filling tastes as it came from a can and then the gravy was added it was extremely bland but tasted better with a bit of salt and pepper. Despite this I would go back as the atmosphere was nice and the views are spectacular.
Excellent food, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Was expensive, but it was always going to be with a location and views like this. Would definitely go again.
Starting with the positives, the view was great as we sat near the window. The breakfast items were average but wouldn't stop me from going back. The main issue with my experience at the restaurant lies with racism. I felt that the staff were very racist and had no interest in serving me and my partner, presumably because we are Asian and walked in wearing face masks in light of the growing severity of the coronavirus situation in the UK. For the first 15 minutes of being seated, we were treated as though we weren't there even though other customers seating nearby were being served promptly. Throughout the meal, no one came over to check on with us to see whether everything was alright. It took forever for anyone to come over to give us the bill. I am not sure whether it is the norm of this restaurant for waiters and waitresses to act so coldly towards their customers. If so, my feelings of repulsion towards the racism I felt could be attributed solely to my over-sensitivity and for which I would offer my apologies.
Fabulous location, very friendly staff and a wonderful experience. It was a first time for all of us and we were very impressed - will be going back
La vue est extraordinaire depuis la brasserie mais cela reste un tarif excessif pour un English breakfast. Belle découverte pour les yeux. Service à la hauteur.
Had breakfast here on a Saturday morning great table with a fabulous view food was excellant as was the service.
Lovely food, really tasty. Not so great service.
A very good experience with really tasty food & excellent service. Just feel the wines are over priced by 20%.
We had a lovely meal with you on the 12th. The food was delicious and the service was excellent from Artemis and your sommelier. Thank you for giving us a window table as requested, and the surprise birthday plate was lovely - my husband was delighted. He kept saying all evening how much he'd enjoyed it all.
Nice view Delicious foods Good service! Will come again when I visit London next time ^v^
Food was tasty, views were great and the service was amazing. For London the prices weren't crazy
Even when we weren’t close ro the windows the view is amazing. He had the English and Duck eggs. Delicious
We had a great time. It was an impromptu visit which I am so glad we made. The view was amazing and Maria our Waitress could not have been more accommodating. Just an amazing visit. Forget the Shard... The best thing about it is how it looks and the views and food at the Darwin are the best in town.
Great food and atmosphere, excellent value. Burger was excellent. Ribs or pulled pork dish on the menu would be brilliant!
Absolut großartig. Nur zu empfehlen!!!
Lovely venue, lovely food. Expensive but great for a special occasion
Beautiful setting and wonderful staff! Wonderful views! Good for a celebration lunch or dinner. The restrooms do not disappoint and were spotless which one cant say for all restaurants at this price level. The staff were very professional, friendly and responsive and they strike just the right balance between being responsive and discreet. My beetroot starter with cashew nut hummus was delicious! The main with duck and poached eggs was nice as was the chocolate tart. Thank you to the lovely lady who took our drinks orders and also to the lovely lady who brought the celebration cake to celebrate my teenage guest winning a modelling contract. She was genuinely interested in her success and that made the lunch even more delightful. Highly recommended for special events !
For the price that we paid, the food wasn’t exceptional. We ordered the roast beef, however most of the meat was fatty and inedible. The panacotta dessert tasted more like pure egg white. The service took a little while as first but staff were friendly
Great views and graet service, will be back..
Endroit superbe. Personnel accueillant et petit déjeuner parfait!!
