About DARKHORSE RESTAURANT & BAR
Founded in 2015 by Lee Glen and Ian Goodman in the former athlete’s village in the Olympic Park, Darkhorse is part of the regeneration of the area. The modern European restaurant features Spanish and Italian influences throughout the dining menu and wine list with a bend of small plates and larger dishes, central to which, is their Bertha charcoal-fired oven, in which all meats and fish are cooked. The main menu features dishes such as onglet steak with bone marrow, roast hake with borlotti beans and salsa verde, warm English asparagus with girolles and charcoal lamb with merguez. A list of both classic and signature cocktails designed by Ian are also on offer, together with an extensive European wine list whilst desserts are served with an accompanying matched cocktails for each one.
As ever - great!!
Excellent food, loved the tapas type menu. Only real concern was the fact that there was one female toilet for the entire restaurant! Can imagine there would be quite a wait on a busy evening.
The Dark Horse is a great find, nestled in the Olympic Park. The team are incredibly friendly and always welcoming. The food menu is probably the most adventurous in the park and is great for semi-formal relaxed dining with an extensive wine and drinks list. Well worth a visit.
Consistently great food and service!
Excellent food and service as always!
Thank you to Lee and his team for a wonderful evening. Food and venue were tops. I will certainly be back.
Fantastic food and cocktails and great service! Will definitely be back!
