About DARKHORSE RESTAURANT & BAR
Founded in 2015 by Lee Glen and Ian Goodman in the former athlete’s village in the Olympic Park, Darkhorse is part of the regeneration of the area. The modern European restaurant features Spanish and Italian influences throughout the dining menu and wine list with a bend of small plates and larger dishes, central to which, is their Bertha charcoal-fired oven, in which all meats and fish are cooked. The main menu features dishes such as onglet steak with bone marrow, roast hake with borlotti beans and salsa verde, warm English asparagus with girolles and charcoal lamb with merguez. A list of both classic and signature cocktails designed by Ian are also on offer, together with an extensive European wine list whilst desserts are served with an accompanying matched cocktails for each one.
These results are based on feedback that I received from my colleagues as I was not part of the dining party. However based on their comments I am now looking forward to visiting in the near future.
Difficult to judge atmosphere as they kindly let us dine early
Great service and food. We came in as a party of 15, and everyone enjoyed the food and drink. The cuts of meat and the sea-bream were sublime. The appetisers came as part of the group set-course, and these immediately set high expectations for the rest of the meal.
Interesting menu and everything was well cooked and well presented. We were quite a large party and everyone enjoyed the food and would be happy to book there again.
Superb as always.
Mezcal mule cocktail is a must! Very friendly staff. Due to plane delays we missed main menu so will definitely be planning another visit.
Enjoyable pre-show dinner highly recommended.
