About Dapur Malaysia
Beautiful home cooked Malaysian cuisine based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. We offer a range of dishes, including Gluten Free and Vegan options
Absolutely fantastic food, everything was really delicious. Great atmosphere and environment. Service was a little slow at times, had to ask for water 3 times but appreciate it was a busy Saturday night. We will definitely be back and would recommend to friends.
Nice place. Nice to see them catering for children too. Food was good overall, some dishes not available - but this was communicated. Draught bar not yet set up, so only pricey bottled beer available. I feel some starters are a bit overpriced and was very disappointed to be charged £2 for a chapatti which appeared to be out of a packet. On the whole - good food and service and I will definitely be back - but won't be ordering any chapattis
Maybe close the doors as felt a little chilly.l
We loved the look of the restaurant and the atmosphere was good. Unfortunately we waited a very long time for our main courses. When they came, my vegan girlfriend’s dish contained chicken. The waiter was very apologetic and offered us drinks on the house as an apology, which was much appreciated, but we then had to wait for another 15minutes for her actual dish to come. Despite this, the food was lovely!
Really great new place. We had the sharing platter for 2 which was delicious and a good sample of starters. Chicken satay and fish cakes were standout. Sadly the mains I’d specifically wanted to try were not available! That’s not good for a Friday night crowd! Also no beers on tap so I had to buy premium prices bottled lager and a lemonade to make a shandy for myself ( I’m pregnant and just wanted a taste really!) I was dying to try the Laksa! So although that was disappointing and the service was slow after starters, the main courses were delicious. I had clay chicken and husband had Mee Goreng noodles. I’d definitely return as the food is fantastic and if you can sort the teething problems you’ll do really well. We did get free amaretto after the meal which sadly I couldn’t drink but it was a nice gesture.
Wow! When it said street food I wasn’t expecting this! It’s a fab venue, great staff and atmosphere and the food is indescribably delicious! Can’t wait to return. Please bring back the pineapple fried rice though 🤞
First of all, the restaurant itself is so lovely from the exterior to the interior. It was very cosy and perfect for me and my friend. The service was incredible! Greeted as soon as we came in, general chit chat and very quick. The staff were just so pleasant, even later on in the night as it got very busy! The atmosphere was lovely. The food was AMAZING! And the value for money was incredible. It will definitely be a place I go to more often now.
Visited with several members of my family including my daughter who has just returned from 6 months in Malaysia. Everyone was very happy with their dishes. Hope there is a more extensive menu of things to try next time we visit.
Lovely food and friendly staff. A relaxed dinging experience.
Sadly many dishes/ beer unavailable Waiter was lovely, good service Mixed starter was very good Main course not as tasty, few king prawns Maybe teething problems, I'll come back and try a different dish in a few weeks time
The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Service was very slow and clumsy. The starters were delicious and recommend those. The mains were pretty tasteless and the portions way to big. It was pretty expensive for the type of meal we got.
Very nice food. Staff was very nice
Very good food, reasonably priced and a nice atmosphere, would recommend.
The food we had was delicious I can not fault it, however the menu was quiet limited with several dishes not available this was across the menu including drinks! Probably just teething problems as newly open. Will return to sample more
Great food and great value, will definitely be back.
The food was absolutely delicious! We were really glad we had the option of some small plates to try various dishes and they were amazing! (The only negative is we feel the small plates are overpriced to say you also have to get rice etc separate) We can’t wait to come back to eat more of the fabulous food!
Although tasty my main course didn't seem value for money, also the chocolate brownie dessert wasn't particularly authentic and lacked the needed scoop of ice cream. Service was a little slow, and I object to being addressed as 'mate' by the young male waiter.
