Food, drink and service levels were non existence, it was as if the place was closed..... oh yeah it was closed!!! Booking made in advance on line for a friends birthday and some escape from lockdown blues. We could not have been let down any more as we were really looking forward to the menu. Many thanks to Ransacked down the road for looking after us!
Brunch was excellent! The food was very good, the drink deal was great value for money, and the restaurant is very chic. Will definitely come back!
First time visit will visit again
This was an it is on voucher for afternoon tea with cocktails. The afternoon tea was very high quality and very fresh tasting. The flavours seem to have been carefully considered to combine well.
Seated shortly after the time booked, booked in for an itison afternoon tea. Cocktails were offered while we waited at the bar for the table to be set which was nice. Once seated we were brought water then waited around 15/20 minutes for the afternoon tea - again was fine. No tea or coffee was served with the food or offered after the food and plates were cleared. No additional drinks order was offered either. We left around 20 minutes after the plates were cleared and walked past the staff standing chatting at the end of the bar who made no comment to us leaving. Wouldn’t be likely to return unfortunately even although the food was nice.
Tasty brunch, staff lovely. Bargain with an itison voucher- would definitely return.
The food and drink was lovely but the service was pretty bad!
So disappointed with the service. We booked via itison, were shown to a small table (for a family of 6 in an empty restaurant) and interrupted to be told 'just to let you know we will need this back by 2.30pm' before we had even been served. The order was wrong and incomplete, despite the waitress repeating it back - and when the food arrived piecemeal (my husbands 20 mins after mine) not a single apology. I expected as we ended up spending £60 that a drink or two might be comped (my toddler had no food for 20 mins after me and the other kids either) but when I went to pay, they had actually overcharged. No apology - when I questioned it I was told they had a busy kitchen and I'd only booked a table for 2. Fair enough, but the place was empty for the first 40 mins of our being there. I really don't like leaving negative feedback publicly when small businesses are in for such a hard time, but to be honest this was shocking and I felt the hipster staff were looking down at us and irritated that a (quiet and polite) family with kids were not exactly the clientele they were looking for. The food was delicious.
Really impressed with the varied menu and the tapas style is great for sharing
Very good service from friendly people, nice food. Had a very relaxing night.
Lovely afternoon tea, fresh and a bit different from the norm, not an egg sandwich in sight!
Great food, service, decor and atmosphere. We used an itison deal, and due to that the prices were perfect. If we hadn't had the itison deal, I would have been put off. The small plates were delicious, but £9-11 a plate is too much. £7-8 per small plate would be more appropriate.
We really enjoyed our meal on Sunday. The burgers and roast sirloin were delicious. We keep coming back to Damm 27 as the food and staff and great.
Lovely Friendly Place, with well trained staff. We had a voucher for 3 small plates and 2 cocktails, we chose squid, terrine and beef - when they arrived, not so small!!! - excellent value, great way to sample and taste a choice of three. Cocktails were amazing, especially the rum one with blue cheese and apple... Will definitely be back for the Sunday Roast offer. Well done all x
very pleasantafternoon tea with my granddaughter. good choice of 'eats', very attentive staff and comfortable venue.
We have a beautiful afternoon tea. Will definitely be back, the service was great and half we doing lots of afternoon teas this was by far the best. Can’t wait to try there boozy brunch.
Really good brunch and the mac and cheese is delicious
Could not fault it excellent value.
Excellent.. great food friendly service!!!
the bottomless brunch is excellent value for money. Service was impeccable. Great place all round
Never fails to deliver on quality and service.
Lovely casy bar with a very friendly welcome from the lovely young lady at the bar who was very accommodating when we needed to increase or booking from 4 to 5 and quickly set up another table with no fuss. Food was a very interesting mix of small plates and sides with innovative twists on staples like mac and cheese and sardines on toast which were both awesome. Fabulous evening with our grown up sons one of whom was a very happy vegan by the end of the meal.
Lovely experience! Definitely look forward to going back! I’d recommend the beef bourginon and the risotto.
This was a wedding gift and I really enjoyed the whole experience.. The girl on duty took time to explain the food to us. The toilets were very clean and nice.
Food was amazing! I would love the gruyere fries to have the cheese melted in them! Other than that amazing food, great stylish place and so chilled!
