About Dakota Edinburgh
Classic cocktails and martinis, international beers and a fine range of wines and malts.
Fabulous fresh produce, carefully prepared, simply cooked and beautifully presented. The Grill Is not just a hotel restaurant.
This is a real treat.
Lovely food (and cocktails!) as always. Excellent service all round and one of the nicest breakfasts! Thank you.
Service fantastic. All Waiters good but the waiter who was allocated us was magnificent.
Great service and the food is great
Good food and good drink. Very attentive.
Highly enjoyable experience. Shall look forward to returning. Would recommend to anyone.
Everything is superb at this restaurant. The food and service were perfect. It is a little pricey, but for this quality you don't mind so much. Would definitely recommend it.
Really lovely day time meal, food was delicious, staff were very attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back again
Excellent service friendly accommodating staff. We were made to feel very welcome.
Lovely Restaurant, amazing food, made my wifes birthday weekend, Will def be back.
First time at Dakota for a meal (Ruby wedding anniversary). Lovely meal and friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back.
Excellent service and good food made for a special occasion
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and a lovely restauraunt/bar on site. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.
Wonderful service, lovely personal touches. Great food, great setting. Perfect, thanks
Enjoyed our champagne.
I was most disappointed I booked for a sunday roast to be told they had none left. As I do not eat fish this limited by choice to one item on menu. When we arrive we were asked to take seat in lounge and somebody would take our order nobody came I had to go back to bar to chase up drink lists to look at question would I have got my roast dinner if we did not have this wait? I had to watch all tables around me have roasts dinner?
My partner & I have stayed a dozen times this year, usually a Friday night & it’s our favourite way to start the weekend...the staff are super accommodating to our needs & we love our stay here even though Eurocentral is so much closer as we stay in Glasgow. It was my birthday on 20 March & we were upgraded to room 508 & again on 1 April to 509. Our stay on 5 April we had 2 complimentary champagne with our dinner. The staff are wonderful & we are so grateful for the level of care & hospitality we always receive. As a life coach I have offered the staff some coaching if they wish to help them with every area of their lives as I strongly believe in personal growth & living a life full of purpose & wholeness. Thank you so much 🙏🏼🧡🙏🏼
The Friday night package was excellent value for money.. defo be back soon
Excellent meal great service and wine - best place to eat not just in Queensferry but in central Scotland- cannot fault the place
Enjoyed our first stay at the Dakota hotel, Edinburgh very much. Loved the ambiance on entering the lobby and was warmly welcomed. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed including a comfortable bed and great shower! We were allowed into the exclusive lounge as we were starting our honeymoon and were welcomed by a very friendly bartender Sabato. He was sure to tend to our every need through the night as well as the restaurant staff. Checkout was quick and friendly and the organised airport transfer worked great. Will be staying again in the future.
The staff were excellent, very friendly, welcoming and very professional. Would always be my first choice for eating and staying, strongly recommended.
Lovely very short stay. Driven to Edinburgh Airport, by a very pleasant member of staff.
The staff were very nice and helpful. It would be helpful if you could provide children's sized portions (both for children and the elderly with small appetites). The waiter did say you could do half portions of the main menu. Our kids got enormous (very good) breaded haddock which they just couldn't manage and it was rather a waste. We thought the salmon, haddock, mussels and chicken that we had were very well cooked. We didn't have room for dessert! The warm bread was very nice.
