About Cyprus Avenue
Cyprus Avenue is a licenced neighbourhood eatery based on the edge of Ballyhackamore, East Belfast. The restaurant which was previously a derelict building was opened on the 30th of December 2016 by Richard McCracken, his first restaurant after returning from years away working in Michelin starred kitchens. Portraits of the local suppliers hang on the walls of the restaurant to ‘put a face to the names’ that are scattered on the menu. The menu is made up of locally sourced produce, using the finest suppliers. Cyprus Avenue has 60,000 bees located on its roof providing urban honey for use on its daily changing seasonal menu. In November 2018 the restaurant was extended due to growing business by knocking through into the corner site at the North Road crossroads. The renovations provided a more spacious dining room and during the works an 80 year old terrazzo floor was discovered and reconditioned to add to the ‘urban chic’ feel of the restaurant.
Fantastic as always and very accommodating to my gluten free requirements!
Enquired about seafood. Super knowledgeable and passionate team member came over. Staff excellent, food Devine!
We weren’t offered any specials - only discovered them after our meal. Food was very tasty, not overly warm though. Service was slowish. But we did enjoy it as we had a bit of time.
Eve and Meg were fab! Will definitely be back.
excellent meal - will definitely be back
Great staff , gorgeous food, love the atmosphere will definitely be back
So glad we found you during our stay in Belfast. Loved you so much for dinner on our first day there, that we were back for breakfast the next morning! Hope to see you again on a future visit....thanks!
We had a lovely evening at Cyprus Avenue. The food was superb. We were served by Jodie who was particularly memorable because she was absolutely fantastic - she really contributed to us having a fantastic evening. And her dessert recommendation was spot on (everyone should try the passionfruit and chocolate bomb!).
Our first visit to Cyprus Avenue and we really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was great, food was very very good and our server was really lovely. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The service was excellent without being intrusive. Will be back.
For our 3 courses, we both selected different dishes, and all were excellent. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food.
Great meal and wonderful service.
Absolutely excellent as per usual
Such a lovely meal, great choice, good value for money and pleasant staff. Would definitely recommend Cyprus Avenue to a friend, and plan to be back!
Very pleased with meal
Very pleasant meal in a lovely setting. Staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The food was beautifully presented and flavoursome. A lovely relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy a memorable Sunday lunch.
Best dessert of my life! (Chocolate bomb)
Very enjoyable, good quality food at a fair price. Will be back.
Have eaten here before and the food was lovely, however this time around my duck starter was rather over cooked, the cucumber and rhubarb was very mushy. However the staff are lovely and friendly.
Staff didn't ask if we wanted any drinks other than the jug of water for the table. Didn't ask if we wanted any desserts or coffee when we finished our meal. Incorrect bill brought to table twice. Staff not very engaged, other than when inputting the amount to c/card machine.....when they expected a tip!
First visit ..... But "I'll be back". Good food , prices and comfortable restraunt.
Another fabulous meal thanks
Lovely restaurant would definitely be back
