About Cub Restaurant
Cub is a partnership, collaboration, restaurant and precious project from lots of folk:
Mr Lyan (of White Lyan, Dandelyan, Super Lyan), Doug McMaster (of pioneering zero waste Silo, Brighton), Krug Champagne, Belvedere and LVMH, Dr Arielle Johnson (formerly Restaurant Noma, now MIT, Boston), and many others. We use considered ingredients and apply sustainable methods to create delicious stuff that does good too. We don't want to go on about that, but it's pretty damn interesting what we've tried to bring together, so please do ask us more about it when you visit!
Cub follows a simple premise of bringing people together through great food and drink. In our home on Hoxton Street in East London, we'll set you up with delicious stuff that makes your mind and belly happy. Our set menu is the best way to experience this; some courses are food, some drink and some... a mixture of the two. Vegan, Gluten-free and Boozeless options available too.

More focused on drinks, the food was on the minimlistic side. If the expectations are aligned, it's an interesting dining experience. If not, it can be slightly disappointing (though all in all yummy).
This is my second time at Cub. Great atmosphere and amazing service. Both times I ordered the set menu. The first time the flavours were on point and the dishes were exceptional. This time around, I found the flavours to be flat and underwhelming. Drinks were the star of the menu.

Strong concept, interesting yet satisfying combinations and fusions on a plate, drink pairings are mostly good, but could be slightly improved, thumbs up for the low environmental impact.

The set menu was indeed full of good things to eat and drink. My wife and I had a fantastic meal and loved the thoughtful ingredients and presentation.

We had an amazing experience at Cub, the food and drinks were incredible and the service honestly outstanding. The manager Stevie was really great. Beautiful restaurant and wonderful ethos, love that it is sustainable and almost zero-waste. Can't wait to go back, the creations were really mind blowing and we loved every second of our time there. Amazing food, hit it up
My visit has been one of the best food experiences this year. The food and drinks are different, interesting but so enjoyable and delicious. Even my niece who does NOT eat oysters enjoyed the oyster mousse. But it is the staff that make all the difference. They are knowledgable, approachable and very welcoming. I also appreciate their approach to sustainability

Drinks and food both amazing!
I took my husband to CUB for his birthday and it was a fantastic way to celebrate. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, the staff were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the food, and the restaurant decor is warm and inviting. We loved it!
We recently came for dinner here and we were not at all disappointed. Everything, from the food itself to the lucidly-told descriptions preceding it, was sublime. I'll definitely be returning!
