Was very busy both times we visited this week but staff were very helpful. Food was served piping hot and we didn’t have to wait to long between courses. Cocktails were also fab. Children’s menu also good selection of mains .
Enjoyable evening with lovely food returned today for lunch l. Another fab meal .
Great restaurant in heart of Oban with good menu so everyone will find something tasty to eat.
The service was excellent and the sea bream was divine.
Lovely atmosphere and really enjoyable meal
Great service and good food.
We ate here 3 years ago & had a delicious meal so decided to book again as we were in Oban for the night. I am coeliac so the fact you have a gluten free menu & last time seemed very knowledgeable I was looking forward to a good meal again. The experience could not have been more different. I sent a query through your website in advance just to check a few things regarding gluten & cross contamination but got no reply. I directed my queries to the waitress who had no idea of the answers but did go & check with the chef. Apparently the hand cut chips were cooked in a fryer that is also used to cook foods containing gluten......which begs the question why are they on the gluten free menu? I ordered pate for starter which was mediocre followed by the bacon cheese burger. The burger bun had obviously been taken out of the freezer & microwaved so was brick hard & inedible & the burgers looked like they’d had the same treatment, they were completely anaemia looking & certainly hadn’t seen a grill, the coleslaw definitely didn’t seem home made & had a horrible greasy taste like it’d been made with cheap mayonnaise & the salad was just a pile of leaves with no dressing. The rest of my party didn’t fare much better with their meals, my daughters ordered steak cooked medium rare & it came well done & one was missing the potato gratin, another member had the bacon cheese burger which was not gluten free & he said it was tasteless. We could not catch a waitresses attention to complain as first they were very busy then stood chatting at the bar. When we finally managed to get the bill I explained about my burger & said I wasn’t happy to pay for it they did take it off the bill. All in all the place has really gone downhill since our last visit & we certainly won’t be returning. So disappointing!
Fantastic food and service I will definitely be back , there was 6 of us and we all thought the food was fantastic.
A better selection of bottled real ales would be an big improvement.
Had our work night out dinner here and it was brilliant,we had someone who required a special menu and it was no trouble for staff to accommodate for her.Great food, good staff can't ask for much more.
Food was lovely however poor selection of gins and very poorly made cocktails was disappointing
Waited longer than we expected for our meal but it was really busy , staff were lovely and meal was really tasty.
It was v busy and staff did well but we were a bit surrounded by lots of people waiting for tables. Starters and Mains were good but deserts a bit basic and far too sweet. We didn't know about the back bar and perhaps a clear door into it would make more people aware of it and likely to use it.
Excellent venue great atmosphere
Fantastic food & service at Cuan Mor last Saturday 22/06/2017. Very high quality meals and plenty of it! All dishes were excellent, but local fish was fab! Meals for 6 of us were good value. We arrived earlier than our reservation and the table was not quite ready, so we had drinks at the bar and the staff got us to our alloted table as soon as they were able - Excellent Restaurant, very much recommend - THANKS everyone at Cuan Mor :)
Good food and value for money. Service wasn't the best, seemed a bit all over the place, but it was very busy so that could be why
The food was delicious. I had family visiting and showed them Scotland; this was one of their favourite places at which we ate.
Great food, good atmosphere.
Such a special place...! Thank you for making Dawn's surprise party so much more than we can say x❤️
There were 19 of us there last night. Everyone loved the food and appreciated the excellent, friendly service. A very nice and lively restaurant which I'd recommend to anyone heading toward Oban.
I made the booking online and since it asked if there was any kind of celebration, I commented that it was my mother's 81st birthday. Nothing was made of it. When we arrived we were seated at the table by the kitchen. Not what I expected when I make a reservation. The wait staff was awful. We went for long periods without anyone checking on us. We had to flag down a waiter to ask for more water, etc. next time we visit Oban we will try another restaurant.
