About Crossroads Bar
Crossroads Bar is a re-introduction to the classic hotel bar, a place where traditional ideas and impeccable service unite with modern designs.
Lunch at the Crossroads Bar is an excellent way to sample delicious chef-prepared cuisine with a soft drink and takeaway tea or coffee at a budget-beating fixed price.
We booked a table for 10 for High Tea for my mother’s 84th birthday. We all enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Crossroads Bar in Swissotel.
It was really good experienced. Especially the food and the service
Service was great; friendly and attentive The food variety is fun
Food was quite good. As was service. Dining seats were quite dirty, need replacing. All in all it is a nice afternoon out.
Comfortable and spacious. Staff were attentive without bring intrusive. Worth revisiting.
Very disappointing the price we paid not worth. Never ever recommend to anyone. Waste of money. Been to other high tea but no the same as i was expected. Rate 2 out of 10.
Food were high quality and beyond our expectation! Fantastic. We have ordered Gunpowder green tea, tea pot delivered but no cups delivered to the table, J personally got cups which were mug ans sources ans cups were all washed but with coffee residue and stained. Had to request tea cups that service attendant did not get it and it seems like that our request sounded a bit demanded for the staff members? Green tea was not green, it was brown tea, no green tea gunpowder at all..... very disappointed.
This was my second time there and it was lovely. The food is beautifully fresh and plentiful, and the reason the buffet is the best idea is that you can try a little of everything! Even my husband enjoyed it. Great variety of lovely little dainties....delicious!
A really nice private place to catch up with girlfriends! Hoping to see more variety in deserts and quality stuff. Good work guys!
The buffet high tea seemed cheap, compared to others in the city. The food was not replenished timely and there were no sweet things for 15 mins. The choice was lacking and taste very disappointing for the price. Sheraton on the park is $10 dearer and 10 plus times better. I won’t be back and would not recommend
Service was terrible, super slow. We had to ask 3/4 times for our first glass of water. Coffee came and after about 5/6 mins we had to go ask where the tea was. Staff are not attentive at all here. all hanging around bar and forget about the tables in corner. Weird fruit selection for chocolate fountain.. 3 different melon? Really disappointing. A mix would be nice, Strawberries/banana/mango/pineapple ect. Scones are heavy and dry unfortunately. a few things also advertised but not there on day. Macrons clearly old and soggy from fridge. Overall we were let down for my girlfriends birthday
Arrived and our booking was not on the list - the individual serving was not very efficient to resolve the issue. After providing a table cocktails were ordered yet they came to our table after various others whom arrived way later then us...orders were not done is an orderly fashion. Ordered tea and coffee had to chase it it twice to get them and last order even disappeared. Overall food and place was good but service was just not up to standard.
I requested something for a birthday nothing was delivered. The food was minimalist and stale, you pay $79 per head and the value simply is not there. I have stayed in the hotel previously however the high tea was an absolute flop and I would recommend not going there for food was terrible.
Very enjoyable experience! Only comment is the cocktails could have been served in nicer glasses instead of a water glass . Staff very pleasant , scones very light and fresh . Thankyou !
Experience was ok. May or may not come back. Depends.
We enjoyed our company. I am sorry there seems to be now where in Sydney you can get The Observatory Hotel High Tea anywhere, Sir Stamford Hotel is great and Boronia House is lovely, there it is such a pity. Thank you anyway.
Excellent value for money, hot food was a little cold so that would be my only complaint . Sweet treats were delicious . Will definitely like to return
6 of us very much enjoyed your buffet high tea experience. Food was plentiful the cocktail was delicious and the tea/coffees were hot. I'm sure we will all be back to do it all again.
Not many choices for high tea buffet. Difficult to get staff attention to order coffee
Excellent location, good food lovely service.
So disappointed this time to have Buffet High Tea. I clearly stated when I booked our reservation that we would like a table next to the wall overlooking the City skyline. Unfortunately and sadly, we were just thrown at the middle of the dining hall next to other diners. I asked to be seated at the usual table (for two) which is very much vacant, but, “ the server said bluntly” it’s reserve “. That area, just next to the bar and food, there are vacant tables. Been there more than 7 times for High tea and lunch. We even have to wait for the serving plates, and it’s nearly 12:45.
The high tea value for money is too high. There was not much food and many of the foods it listed was not there. In my opinion it really wasn't worth it unless you go there to drink champagne etc.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, my friend and I had a wonderful experience. However, the service that we received could be improved by having more warm and friendly servers/waiting staff (only one out of the four staff that I’ve interacted with smiled, one forgot my friend’s order, one just grabbed my phone without asking permission if it’s okay for her to hold it while I was showing her the screenshot of my voucher). The service was quite of a letdown given that supposedly, it’s one of the top 10 high tea experience in Sydney.
We were disappointed that after booking through ACCOR email the Cheese Fondue I booked was not available. However we enjoyed a meal in the bar.
