About Croes Howell Restaurant Bar and Grill
We are surrounded by some of the county’s finest producers, which is why our menu is based on fresh, locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients. The Croes Howell is set on the border of the Cheshire Countryside, offering beautiful views during the day and a relaxing atmosphere at night, and is within easy reach of Chester and Wrexham.
Lovely friendly staff, great atmosphere, would defiantly recommend for afternoon tea and a meal.
Excellent service, excellent food. We are already planning a return with family
We had the two course lunch which was excellent. Service was good and friendly. Couldn’t fault the whole experience.
Lovely staff, very polite & made sure we were looking after the whole time we were their.
Fully enjoyed the experience with all the family, beautiful food and custom.
This is my third visit to the Croes Howell and each time I say I’ll never ever go back. To be fair the food had always been good but service rubbish. Yesterday’s food was alright and poor service yet again. Most people I speak to either love it or don’t like it, I always ask why they don’t like it and it’s the sane answer... the service, this needs addressing ASAP. I had to ask where our main meal was after waiting 1 hour 20 mins, the wrong order came. We were offered a free round of drinks and deserts free
Disappointed after looking forward to a new place to eat. We arrived at 12.20 & were seated in corner by wall and felt penned in. We asked to be moved but were unable to. We just had to pull out the table. Myself, my brother and father all over 6ft so it was a tight squeeze. Most places raise the price of Mothers Day lunch so Croes Howell no different but quality of desserts didn't give value for money. Certainly wasn't cheap. Eton mess & crumble are simple & cheap desserts compared to desserts that are on usual Sunday. menu. However the Eton mess had next to no meringue or fruit and the crumble had literally no crumble. We should've said something as dessert plates were taken away but didn't like to make a fuss at the time, plus had the wait a little while between courses and for the bill. On a positive the mains were fine and came promptly.
Lovely restaurant, great food, very high standard. Service good on a very busy day!
Lovely meal for Mother’s day. All staff were helpful and friendly. Manager couldn’t do enough for us.
Second visit in a week..Can recommend the Pan fried chicken
Couldn’t give any results for atmosphere as we were the only ones dining
This was only my 2nd visit...on both occasions I have taken my 80yr old mother who is blind. The staff are always so helpful and understanding and nothing is too much trouble.. like when I asked for a doggy bag because mum hadn't eaten any food not only was this not a problem but as they didn't have anything to put the food in the sent me home with the plate... which I shall return on my next visit... thank you 👍
