About Crockers Folly
he reopening of Crocker’s Folly has given London the chance to reacquaint itself with one of its most glorious edifices. A beautiful Grade II* listed former Victorian gin palace, complete with 50 kinds of marble, Romanesque columns, cut glass chandeliers and carved mahogany. Sympathetically and painstakingly restored, Crocker’s Folly has been reinvented by its owners, the renowned Maroush Group, as a stylish restaurant and bar serving modern European food – complemented by a selection of wine and signature cocktails.
Would be nice if the lighting in dining area was dimmed a bit more at nights.
Amazing, fresh and tasty food!Highly recommended for private and business dinners
The whole impression is of a place that has lost its will (if it ever had it) to be anything more than adequate.
Amazing building, excellent food and service. Inappropriate music choice and was so empty that it felt deserted
Lovely setting very friendly team. Have been twice. Food excellent. Going again soon
This was our first visit and we would definitely return
I requested a table outside and upon arrival was told it is fully booked which started my experience poorly
Simply first class meals, top quality in a superior venue.
This is a very special dining experience for fine food, professional service, courteous people in an elegant setting. Ideal for a quiet dinner for two or a celebration for family and friends. My wife and I have eaten there twice and will undoubtedly make many more visit.
Nice place, nice food BUT ridiculously overpriced- will not return
The bar staff were very welcoming and friendly on arrival. Although the restaurant was a little quiet there was a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. A lovely evening.
I booked CF primarily to experience the Victorian decor, which is what the place is famous for. The Lebanese food was tasty but expensive. I did not like the loud muzak, especially as the venue is full of hard surfaces, and so got very noisy. What mainly let it down was the service which was inattentive and slow - we had to ask the waiter twice to clear our plates. However, we would probably go again to CF for the food and the decor. I think it would be good to have somewhere - in the menu or elsewhere - a short history of the place. I would be happy to write this for you.
nothing to add
Absolutely fabulous restaurant! We loved everything about it and will definitely return. The food was fabulous and in such a beautiful old pub.
It was our first time dining at Crockers Folly and although the decor is sublime, the service was dryly impeccable and the atmosphere sterile. It felt like dining in a 5* hotel and the staffs concern was the restaurants performance, not our dining experience or return. We realise now that this restaurant is very popular for large groups, and our table of 2 became lost as it got busier. Even the MD took our payment whilst being more concerned with larger groups. The food was nicely cooked, but we felt it unnecessary to pay £6.50 for a side plate of hummus.
It’s worth going here just to see the beautiful building. I feel they could do more with the main dining room though. The standard good quality Maroush food.
Our waiter Johnny was wonderful and very attentive to all our different requests. The food was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful. Will definitely visit again x
Another good meal at Crockers Folly. Lovely staff and good atmosphere.
Was really looking forward to the Samaka Tagine, so disappointed it wasn't on the menu. The Samaka Harra was also lovely though.
Wonderful decor in a marvellous building. Friendly welcome and attentive staff throughout our meal. The food was very good. We started with Lebanese "mezze" dishes (to share) and a mixture of mains (4 Lebanese, 2 seafood) - all well-executed and presented. Later the kids enjoyed enormous ice creams, while we enjoyed coffees - Lebanese, western & boozy style. The cocktails looked great, but we enjoyed a Lebanese rose with our meal.
Beautiful surroundings, great food, great service
Great menu and atmosphere. Beautiful place. Highly recommendable.
Very nice food and service.
