About Crabshakk @ Cathedral House
Come join Crabshakk @ Cathedral house. A Beautiful and iconic Glasgow landmark built in Scottish Baronial style in 1896. Crabshakk will be doing a weekend winter takeover of the venue. Delicious Scottish seafood served in an historic and unique dining room. That ought to beat those winter blues.
Amazing food! Amazing service and a much more comfortable setting than Finnieston! A permanent residence in Cathedral House Hotel would be AMAZING!!!
Really glad to see this pop up so close. Loved going to Finnieston Crabshakk, and this is just as good. Both the old favourites like the tempura squid, and the specials like the John Dory were excellent. In these Covid days, service was excellently done.
I'm a big fan of the original Crabshakk in Finneston and I'm delighted you're open again in a new venue. I've been dreaming about eating those scallops in anchovy butter for months so I was so happy to have them once again! I also introduced a friend to Crabshakk for the first time and she was very impressed. We'll be back!
Wonderful time , everything perfect , it was a fun evening. Food delicious . Xx
Great food and atmosphere as always
Love the Finnieston Shakk... but Cathedral House #Shakk2 is right up there too!
Wonderful as ever - missed some fizz with my oysters and a glass of wine with my fish but the taste of the food was so good that it didn't even matter. Its always a bit more expensive but i think its worth it!
It was a really good lunch with a very similar feel to the Finnieston restaurant which we both love. Staff were great, the space is really nice and the food as always was terrific. We'll be back!
Service was absolutely top class You know what Everything about it was sensational Staff Food Drinks Chat Everything was magic x Ps. I didn’t get free chips to write this x
Totally amazing. 2nd week in a row. Fabulous food, service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to celebrate going to 2nd tier with a wine!!
A fantastic meal in lovely surroundings. Looking forward to a return visit soon. My only tip for other diners is when booking check if you will be seated at a table or bar seat. We attended on my mother’s 65th birthday and were showed to the bar. On request we were moved to a table however this alternative may not always be available and may spoil the experience for others.
Had never been to the original Crabshakk, largely because the tiny space it’s in seemed a bit off-putting. Trying it at Cathedral House was a much better experience. The food was delicious and we were all very happy with our choices. Staff did their best given the Covid restrictions and were attentive without being intrusive. Will return.
We had a fantastic meal at Crabbshak on Saturday. The food was fabulous and so nice to be in this setting. We will definitely return and would love to stay in the hotel.
Great food , lovely setting, scallops were immense , thanks
Food delicious .. atmosphere very welcoming .. knowledgeable & friendly staff Unfortunately due to Covid Restrictions we were unable To be served alcohol . However we had a lovely time and would definitely return to Crabshak at cathedral house . Lovely venue .
I was so delighted when I heard Crabshakk was moving in tio my locally, so had to go I only had a wee fish supper, but possibly the best fish and chips I have ever had. Not much of an atmosphere, but where has just now? Will be back soon
Delicious food and great service (as usual), and The Cathedral House really suits you as a venue! I wish you could stay in the East end 😍 Will be booking againnnnn
Such a lovely meal in a great setting. Food was such great quality!
Totally yummy. For starters, I had the salt & pepper squid and hubby scoffed a crab, which we all ended up sharing. Mains were equally as fab, as was the service. The only thing that was missing was a wee Chardonnay!!!
Lovely to see the Crabshakk Experience at the Cathedral House Hotel, in such a lovely setting with all the usual great food!
Food was fantastic! Scallops were wild 🤤🤤
Always a joy at the Crabshakk
Glad to be back out again and have an amazing lunch minus the wine, the restaurant was alive with chat and the staff buzzing around with plates of delicious food. My only negative was that the room could do with some heating as both my wife & I had to sit with our coats on, we did ask the staff to close the fire door which they did but somehow the place never warmed up but it won’t put us off returning
