Lovely place,great food and service
Been here 3 times. First time I was here the only words were “I didn’t know it was possible to fall in love with food” same goes for the other 2 times and I’m no stranger to cuisine since my mom’s a renowned chef as well Expeptional wine choices too, class.
Lobster was amazing! Staff are friendly and welcoming!
Steak was very good and service very good also. Staff very attentive so cannot fault it
The people were lovely, but at the time of booking I had asked for speedy service as we were heading to the cinema next door afterwards - the guy on the 'phone had assured me that wouldn't be a problem. The restaurant was nowhere near full, but we waited ONE HOUR for our three plates of main course (one burger and two steaks). It made the experience stressful instead of fun and relaxing, which is a shame.
Really enjoyed our meal and can’t wait for an excuse to go back, the raspberry fizz cocktail was amazing 😋
Decor uninviting and layout awkward
Overall good but the kids menu was overpriced. Would stop me going back. Good wine list
Enjoyed this restaurant, great for a pre-cinema dinner.
I honestly think that it wasn’t great value for money. The food was ok’ish, but definitely not worth what we paid for. There are many restaurants in Jersey with a better atmosphere and same food, bu much cheaper. Unfortunately a classic example where one pays for a ‘brand name’.
We had a nice evening, excellent service and comfortable environment. Food was good but quite pricey and no real "wow" factor which we would have expected from a restaurant set up by a michelin starred chef.
We thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at the Cow & Lobster. We will be back!
Food was ok but nothing special as was the service. The layout of the restaurant is nice but they shoved everyone upstairs out the way. With everyone being so close and a quiet restaurant others were listening in to your conversations which was uncomfortable to say the least. Food is ok but nothing special and certainly does not match the prices. In no hurry to rush back.
The wine selection could be more varied with more choice of wine by the glass, particularly in the red wine selection.
Wonderful service, food was delicious, will be going back!!
Lovely staff and atmosphere! Food is fantastic however the lobsters are quite small.
No atmosphere. Unlikely to come back.
I only gave 3 stars to service just due to the fact after paying the bill at table and giving a tip and being thanked for when we got up and leave there wasn’t a thank you, good night or whatever, what in my view goes a long way and makes you come back again
The staff was really friendly and child friendly as well. However, we were not so impressed about the lobster. It was quite chewy and small portion even for half-lobster. The burger was good but couldn't say it was better than in a good pub in Jersey, but maybe for a higher price you would expect this.
great food as always. Service is friendly and not overbearing just need to consider a couple of less expensive options...
The fillet steak was delicious, however slightly disappointed with the mac and cheese side, very stodgy not much flavour. The desert of apple crumble wasn't great either. The gin menu would be far better if there was an option of tonics to choose from. Overall the night was okay, the staff were nice however it was slightly lacking in atmosphere. Would much rather visit Mark Jordan at the beach.
Incredible food And service
Our first (& quite likely to be last) dining experience here. We took my brother-in-law & his new fiancé for lunch to celebrate their engagement. The waitress was pleasant enough, but it seemed that the staff were just waiting for us to eat as quickly as possible and leave. The lobster was rubbery & chewy. No ‘thank you’ at the end of the meal as we left; the staff were out the door before us! We had so been looking forward to trying your restaurant, but it was an overpriced underwhelming meal unfortunately
We both had burgers which tasted delicious but unfortunately so much juice came out of them the bottom half of the bun became soggy and fell apart so we had to eat them with a knife and fork. I wonder if it would’ve helped if they’d been rested but I’m not an expert! The paper they were served on disintegrated because of the liquid which also wasn’t great. The chips were delicious and we also enjoyed the truffle popcorn.
Great service, wonderful fresh ingredients, good experience
