Very friendly and tasty wine eatery
We think this was our fifth visit and we have loved every one of them,
Great food presentation. Food was just OK and the service could be less pretentious. I ‘m not impressed!
It was a delightful, delicious evening. The restaurant was charming, service excellent, the sommelier entertaining, helping us select a lovely wine. This establishment obviously cares about food and it is clear that they want their guests to have a great experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Top,unsere Nr.1 in Venedig
Charming and delightful in every way. Delicious food, with fantastic personal service by the entire staff!
Sorry, but this was not a Slow Food experience at all. Appetizer and starter consisted mainly of raw vegetables with hardly any dressing or sauce. While I am sure the quality of ingredients is very good the menu lacked any inspiration. Staff was not relaxed and failed to create a welcoming environment - everything aimed at making sure that tables were empty for the second round at 9pm. I have seldom seen a restaurant that wrote so many mails in advance and afterwards but I guess you didn’t deliver on your claims.
We were tended by Andrea, the owner, whom is very enthusiastic about his food and his business. We liked the cozy and informal atmosphere and innovative yet venetian cuisine. We will be back next year.
Excellent food, beautifully presented, outstanding wines to go with the food. Each plate was composed to allow the taste of the very fresh ingredients to shine through. A perfect dining experience after days of heavy and rich foods. If we had had more time in Venice we would have gone back for another meal!
Fantastici veramente!
A very cozy atmosphere, almost like we were invited into someone's home for dinner. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend trying their suggested wine pairings with each course. We ended up buying a few bottles of the wines we loved so much.
Völlig unpassendes Benehmen der Kellnerin, Platzangebot unzureichend
Great food and feeling! The guys are fun, knowledgeable, expert and food is just amazing. Little gem in the heart of Venice
Sympathisch, speziell, toller Service, authentisch. A world of its own.
Thank you very very much for this dinner. I came in dining alone but that night you sat me next to someone else who was also dining alone and we ended up talking and having a great time. I loved all the food you gave me so much. The scallops were delicious and better than any I'd had before, the lamb was softer than any lamb I'd had before, and the "cheesecake" was sooo scrumptious and unexpected. This was my first time in Venice and I was only there for 2 days. I hope I can go back, maybe I can take my mom, and I will take her to dinner at CoVino :) n.b. I never go into a place like this expecting it to be entirely cost-effective, but maybe some ways you advertise the pricing are a bit misleading. For example on the website where you say "wine always included" it would make any average English-speaker think that the 40 euro 3-course meal includes wine in the price. Since I was given a wine menu I knew this wasn't the case before I ordered but it is things like that that might put some people off when they go to dinner But either way your food and great wine was extremely worth it I hope your restaurant stays around for a very long time!
My wife and I agree this was easily the best meal we have ever had. The value is incredible and the atmosphere is wonderful. It was one of our most memorable experiences in Venice.
Amazing food, fantastic service. A must when in Venice.
A delightful, cosy restaurant
We came here several years ago, and it was remarkable. This time, depite the great service and atmosphere, we have been disapointed. The wines were great (but did not like the extras you have to pay when you take the 3 wines formula). The food is great is great, but the portions have reduced significantly … the desert was a glimpse of a desert, and very far from what it used to be.
I've been to CoVino for both lunch & dinner. Equally great. Cozy atmosphere and stellar service, food, wines. Love it!
This was our 5th visit to Covino. We book to come every time we visit Venice. Worth booking in advance never a disappointment
CoVino stands out in Venice as a personal, and even idiosyncratic dining experience. I dont think it is for everyone- you have to be open minded and willing to try a few new things and ask questions.
