About Cosy Club Leicester
The Cosy Club in Leicester opened on 16th October 2014 in a former knitwear factory. The building has been used since the 1800s to produce all sorts of vestments from boots, shoes, hats, clothes and hosiery products and more. The transformation of the building from factory to restaurant bar was done carefully, ensuring the original industrial feel of this wonderful site was retained. Reflecting this, the interior features brightly coloured cotton and spinning wheels within the bar, historic building dates displayed on the windows and some original textile pieces from Leicester on the walls. It has a strong sense of the original feel with ceiling high windows, authentic factory lighting, bare steel riveted girders and original stone walls. This, combined with the quirky and eccentric Cosy Club stamp, makes it a must for a visit.
Inside the restaurant area can seat up to 130 in relaxed style, with room for another 50 in the bar area, and the Cosy Club also features an enclosed secret garden with heaters, parasols and blankets at the ready so you can enjoy the fresh air any time of the year! For those that want to have a more private dining experience we have our Loom Room downstairs with its very own bar, which is available for bookings for parties of up to 45 people.
Really enjoy spending time at the Cozy Club, great staff, atmosphere and food
Whenever I go to Cosy Club I always get great service, great food and a fab atmosphere. Its my go to place for lunch with my family, treating my friends to cocktails and is always a stop on a night out for the incredible cocktails! They always offer really good deals particularly around graduation, got my friend a free glass of prosecco and that made her day!
Lovely, friendly staff who were very helpful - delicious food.
Initially service was excellent, fast and courteous but soon after felt "ignored"
We have just moved to Leicester (or back to Leicester, in my wife's case) and discovered - among many other amazing places - the Cosy Club. We love the location as we are at Leicester cathedral a lot! The food is great - a vegan menu too - and the atmosphere is absolutely lovely. We just love the building - and the staff couldn't be more helpful and engaged with their work. The staff really made us feel special - on both our recent visits. It seems too, that all members of staff are the same: really enjoying their work and interacting with the customers in terms of providing information about the food, drinks and overall choices at the venue. Whoever manages the Leicester team has done an amazing job and should be congratulated. It's a great place and we'll be visiting on a regular basis with good friends too. Maria and Peter.
I had some old friends visiting from out of town and decided to book a table for the girls' night out. The service was excellent and my friends really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the music. The cocktails were unusual and tasty. We had a great night and I would absolutely recommend The Cosy Club.
We found the whole experience a real pleasure. The service was outstanding, the food was of an excellent quality with a varied choice to meet everyone's preferences.
Considering this Cosy Club has been open for nearly two years now we were surprised at how unsorted it seemed; the music was way too loud for early evening diners, several tables around us were re-arranged and noisily re-laid, we encountered too many different staff way too often. The food was average at best - my salmon was greasy and overcooked, my companion's macaroni was bland and his fries were oily. Our affogatos were served ready-poured, which I have never come across before, and the coffee was dire. It did not help that a couple at a table nearby were having a loud and sweary argument - something that none of the numerous staff seemingly swanning about did anything to address. The venue itself was great - really nice to see a sensitive conversion of a historic building. I would say all the rest needs work...
Really great food. Cool place. We will be back!
I had a visit to the Taunton branch two weeks ago and the slow pork was divine.so nice I wanted it again.so at our visit on the 16th July for my hubby's birthday I ordered the same and it was horrible.the pork dry and small in quantity and the ham and pea croquette was hard. A shame as it spoilt the meal.
Lovely place, very relaxing, on the doorstep but away from the hustle and bustle of The High Cross!
Lovely cocktails to go with your food!
Was a nice meal with a good atmosphere and friendly staff
Faultless! Very attentive staff and amazing food and decor :-)
Had a great evening with friends. Food and drinks were good and service was excellent- all waiting staff friendly, polite and a credit to you. What a shame you had problems with the toilets which meant everyone had to use the 1 disabled toilet. This caused big queues and meant that if you had to go you were away from the table for quite some time. This led to some frustrated customers in the bar
The waiter that served us was outstanding. Very good service and entertaining.
No Lager! Toilets not working/blocked! Forced to drink expensive warm bottled beer! Slow service! Disaster! Sorry, but one of the worst and most expensive nights out I've had for some time. This was the second and last chance for the Cost Club.
As a Coeliac there is a good Gluten Free menu, lots of choice and helpful staff.
Lovely evening spent with good friends x
A great lunch for my mum's birthday...delicious food, lovely relaxed environment, but very attentive staff. Will definitely return and would definitely recommend
Overall we were happy with our visit to Leicesters Cosy Club. My only negative comments taken from general comments I have overheard by our team was the service from ordering to get the food was very slow. The drinks were expensive. The quality of food was good, the atmosphere was great and layout spacious.
Service was great food was great too
Great atmosphere, food, staff and cocktails! Will be back :-)
