About Coq & Bull
Coq and Bull. An unusual restaurant we think. Everyone seems at home. The old hand and young buck. Herbivore and carnivore. Connoisseur and trencherman. The quiet diners and the in-with-a-crowders. Good, honest food. Taste is king and local rules. Wine, if not exactly compulsory, encouraged. And anyway, life’s too short not to.
Lovely restaurant, comfy seats. Amazing service. Lots of choices on the menu. Food was brilliant. We had a brilliant time and will definitely be back
The Coq & Bull is always amazing with Emma-Jayne & her team at the forefront. We have got to know the staff over the years and the service & quality of food provided is always of a very high standard.
Brilliant service , amazing food , great seating For my birthday dinner .. relaxed and fun .. staff couldn’t be more helpful .. thank you
The food was faultless, the steak was beautifully cooked. I couldn’t speak highly enough of the staff as they were all very welcoming and friendly from when we first arrived to when we left. Was a lovely atmosphere and would definitely be returning
Absolutely lovely dinner for my mum and dads anniversary! Lovely staff the whole time, and amazing food! Highly recommend a meal here!
Excellent and reliable service as always however prices have gone up. £40 for a fillet steak and a large glass of red wine is not as competitive as others and then you add on a side dish of greens/vegetables afterwards to thus price. Put price to one side and the restaurant is consistently good time after time.
Choice of draught beers pathetic. 1xguinness 1x dark ale 1x lager. Ale and lager craft beers from Dublin. None of the usual beers on draught that one would expect. Meal was lovely but portions small.
Really lovely dinner friendly staff and great prices well def be back.
The seabass dish is too expensive for 3 tiny pieces of fish.
had a great evening
Unfortunately last evening we found the restaurant too noisey due to a family with Young children.
Very enjoyable time excellent food and service
As ever we had a lovely meal; however I do think it is rather expensive particularly if you need to add any extras such as potatoes or other vegetables.
Excellent service and gluten free options
Very good meal. Particularly pleased with attention to dietary/allergy requirements.
Lovely meal wowuld just like a round table for six and music slightly lower.
Great staff, food and atmosphere!
Beautiful setting and the service was first class. The quality of the food was great Definitely recommend to friends
So good that we've rebooked for next month
Friendly staff. Menu was not out of the ordinary but everyone thought the food was good and well cooked. Enjoyed our evening
I was disappointed to be told I could have gluten free breakfast only to have the items omitted. However everything is being done to address the problem,so well done!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal the wine advice was especially on point. The only constructive feedback I would give is that after the meal it would have been lovely to enjoy some music (traditional or easy listening). In the lounge .
