We are sorry but this restaurant is not currently accepting online reservations through ResDiary.
We love the decoration at Cookes and how the high tea were served. Except the air is abit stuffy.
100% top notch service-can not fault the team. Really beautiful setting. We have had breakfast and lunch at Cooke's. Breakfast was lovely- some of the flavours we a little intense for our bland pallets however the continental breakfast was fabulous. The coffee was delicious. The hot meals were a great size and very filling. Lunch was divine- the hamburgers were mouth watering- would 100% go back for these again! Desserts were also yummy and full of flavour. We highly recommend Cooke's. Give it a go :) Massive thank you to the staff for being awesome.
Good food great service
thank you this was a fantastic surprise great food and service and loved the intimacy of the restaurant.
Lovely restaurant, a hidden gem. The food is really good, nicely presented. Very atentive service. Beautiful setting. Will definitely be back. The only thing we didn't like is the non alcoholic drinks selection. The green juice was tiny for 8$ and not that tasty at all Other than that, was awesome dining experience.
The service was great, the High Tea was really nice and the atmosphere was relaxed. Thanks for making a lovely birthday celebration.
Lovely High Tea, wonderful ambience, great food, excellent service. Will be returning.
My wife and I chose the $45 3 course set menu which we would highly recommend. We both had the cured salmon entree which was absolutely delicious. The pickled zucchini and salmon went perfectly together. We then had the fish of the day which was also yummy and then a different dessert each. The serves were just the right size for us. Service was very attentive and there was also a good wine selection although we did find it pricey per glass. However they do have happy hour from 4-7pm if you’re just ordering drinks at the bar.
The staff at Cooke's were nothing short of AMAZING for our High Tea experience. The four of us were there to celebrate three girlfriend's birthday's, and the team at Cooke's made it so much more special. They happily let us switch tables to a more cozy spot, got in on surprising my friends with flowers, and then went above and beyond with not one but TWO complimentary surprises for the birthday girls. They brought us complimentary birthday drinks for free, and followed up with a free birthday dessert and even sang Happy Birthday for us!!! I can honestly not say enough about our experience. The High Tea itself was a showstopper, the food was impeccable and Cooke's pandered to my vegetarian requests without missing a beat. The tea was UNLIMITED (unheard of to me) and coffee was even included. The ambiance was regal and I couldn't believe we got all of that for such a low price. 15/10 could not fault them if I tried :)
The food and service was impeccable. The high tea was tailored as per our request for one of our guests. We’ll definitely return again soon!
Really lovely tea would definitely recommend
The best high tea in Auckland. I have been 5 times taking different family and friends and will go again!
Great setting. Good options for kids that were much fresher & healthier than many standard kids menus (plus the kids really enjoyed the food).
4 of us all agreed that the experience of our high tea was very memorable the high tea itself was exceptional, we had excellent service and found the ambiance perfect.
Great food and service, the better high tea in Auckland
The ambiance and the service is excellent. Great tasting food, excellent plating. My husband really enjoyed the grass fed beef while I am very happy with the pork loin dish. My daughter had the 1/3 pounder hamburger which she also liked a lot. Overall great dining experience!
High tea was fabulous. Right up there with all the other hotels. Everything was fresh. Only thing is would love to see them use tablecloths and finer china for the high tea.
Thank you for lovely High Tea for my mother’s 80th birthday. Everyone enjoyed the experience.
The high tea is lovely but I didn’t appreciate the rigmarole in booking it and having to secure with my credit card and essentially being liable for my friends if one of them pullled out. For a hotel that had just won an international award I thought this was really bad form and to be honest I would think twice about whether I would come again because of this unusual booking process. My friend also had an Accor card and was disappointed to find that she couldn’t use it for the high tea.
They make it very difficult to secure a booking because they ask you to print, fill in, scan and then email a form with your contact and credit card details and they also want you to take a photo of the front and the back of your card which would be an incredibly stupid and insecure thing to do. I wasn't comfortable with this so I managed to convince the staff member to secure my booking by giving my credit card details over the phone. I mentioned an allergy when I booked online and also confirmed this on the phone but it was still forgotten about. They fixed this pretty quickly though. Staff members were no where to be seen for quite some time during our high tea so we waited a long time for our scones, but when they finally arrived we didn't eat them because of the "clotted cream" which looked and tasted just like cream cheese. The savoury food was delicious but most of the sweet food we tried and promptly discarded. Our main disappointment however was when we decided we would have a second champagne. We looked at the menu and since the tea option was $49 and the champagne option was $68, we figured our extra champagne would be the difference which was $19. It was therefore a very unpleasant surprise when our totals were $98 because the extra glass of champagne was actually $30. By that logic a tea must cost $11 so we felt it was dishonest not to display the cost of the extra champagne on the menu.
The High Tea was superb, particularly the little salmon cones, then the fluffy scones with clotted cream. Perfect matches with Huia sparkling wine and then T2 teas. The service was friendly and approachable. Thank you.
Beautiful High Tea amazing tea selection ! Lovely service and staff
Food was very good to excellent. Way above what the average hotel offers. Nice setting even though there is no view.
Lovely atmosphere for gathering friends together over a cup of tea. Service was great.
Had to wait for 40 minutes for the final course but the food was excellent
