Perfect meal, perfect setting! Highly recommend
Very friendly staff , good food overall just a great place
Lovely staff and a phenomenal meal. Could not be happier with the experience.
Is there a better location for a short break when you can visit the Lodge on the Loch and sit on your balcony with a magnificent view of Loch Lomond
LOVELY SETTING, FOOD AND STAFF 10/10
Excellent service , staff very helpful and attentive.
The only thing you could improve on would be the music, only because it repeated the same songs which also played at breakfast next morning. Can I take a moment to say how lovely our server was and her knowledge of the dishes was very impressive.
Had fantastic stay at the Lodge on the Loch, Nov 2017. Room was excellent [sauna was a novelty], dinner was absolutely fantastic, huge compliments to the kitchen team, and the waiting staff got the mix right between being efficient and organised, whilst being relaxed and engaging. Spa is a little tied, needs some TLC, but very pleasant. Also the spa area needs a sitting area for people to be able to wait on others in their party getting ready afterwards. Overall we were delighted with our stay and we will be back. Mark, Edinburgh
Absolutely amazing experience, scenery and food to die for. 5 stars
Beautiful place with breathtaking views, food is delicious and staff very friendly. Leisure facilities were fantastic. Will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family 😊
Very relaxing atmosphere great food served by friendly attentive staff Little luxury in loch lomond
Afternoon tea was delish. Service was wonderful, they really took care of us.
One of the best meals I’ve had! We also had afternoon tea earlier in the day and it was amazing also! Would go back in a minute.
Food not great. Sorry Chipped wine glass.Too long to wait for dessert.
We got married at the Lodge in 2005, and have returned once or twice a year since. We always look forward to our trip, and treating ourselves to some lovely food. On arrival we had a wonderful afternoon tea with some gorgeous mini cakes and savouries. We have found though, in the last few years that the restaurant menu is smaller, which we can understand, however sometimes the food choices are made up of strange concoctions which sound more fancy than appetising. My husband had the steak, with a supplement of £10, which I feel is not justified for sirloin(I didn't have the steak for this reason.I don't mind supplements where justified). I ended up with the fish and chips as nothing else was of interest. The fish was delicious, however, when at the lodge I like to have something a bit finer, but burgers, veg curry and fish aren't what I previously experienced at Colquhouns. We also preferred the kitchen without the wall that has been built, it feels less personal now. The restaurant was busy, and was reflected in the service, the staff did a good job. The atmosphere seemed flat even though restaurant was full. Full lighting was on and I feel some quiet piped music would help. I put 3 stars for value, as the DBB rates says £29 allowed for 3 courses. With the steak supplement this would work out at around £20/£25 for main and £7 to £10 for each starter and dessert.
Enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal, food was delicious and food service was quick. Looking forward to going back already.
Sorry to say a bad experience for me. Looking at the menu nothing actually grabbed my attention. On asking what was gluten free made this even worse. This is not gourmet cuisine. Staff tried their best but there was no way they could make any of their mains sound good gluten free. Your food lets the whole hotel down. Great staff who work hard and a beautiful setting. Need to give your menu a revamp to make it like the standard of the hotel. I would not recommend it to a friend but would the hotel,
Fantastic venue, Stunning views and the food is excellent.
We thourghly enjoyed our donned & breakfast, service excellent, food excellent & restaurant lovely
really enjoyed our afternoon tea, but we had to ask several times for tea, milk etc, this was slightly disappointing as the venue wasn't too busy.
food was great, superb costumer service and lovely atmosphere with the lake view
