Pre dinner drinks enjoyed in quiet, very relaxed setting of lounge bar which stocked good selection of spirits. We had our evening meal here 2 nights in a row. Ist evening we enjoyed a ham hock & chicken pate starter, fish & chips & chicken jalfrezi main ending with white chocolate& vanilla cheesecake and creme broker - all delicious. 2nd evening we enjoyed us both having the chicken pate -so delucious!, Beef and controlled chicken for main and same desserts as night before because...they were too good to miss and try anything else! Meals were absolutely gorgeous and the waiting staff exceptional. Polite, courteous, the perfect level of being attentive and chatty & helpful too. Our whole dining experience was excellent. The service at lunch was disappointingly poor, waited along time to order drinks let alone food. Seemed to be 2/3 people serving the one area and neither knew what the last one had brought out or taken an order for. However at dinner this was much better as the one waiter was assigned to our table and service was excellent.
I wasn’t overly impressed by the food, not what I’d expect from a 4star hotel. The braised shin of beef was very fatty, personally I couldn’t eat it. The burger was also very basic, I couldn’t comment on the taste however. Staff, atmosphere, drinks and facilities were great so the food was the only disappointment.
Staff very attentive veiws amazing. Food delicious cant wait go back
The staff were wonderful, especially with my youngest daughter who has multiple allergies. The service was fantastic and although there was some construction work taking place this did not deter from our experience and the great views over Loch Lomond
Staff are lovely and make this place! Jane (we think that is her name) was excellent! She should be your head of restaurant. Staff couldn’t do more to make this as pleasant as they can. However one of the management having a hissy fit as we arrived and she ignored us as she laid off to a young waiter was disappointing and unprofessional. 2/4 of our party had a groupon deal which we appreciate is very cheap. However the rest of the party paid full price. State of the cups and saucers are poor. Coleslaw sandwiches are disappointing. Cakes were just alright. Really disappointed in what was supposed to be a treat.
Very Clean / efficient staff / relaxing atmosphere/ Wife had steak & found it to be a bit Gristly, other than that everything else was perfect.
Manager lady in the restaurant was so efficient, friendly and helpful, waiter was very friendly and provided great service, reception staff were nice but it appeared i didnt fill out the correct paperwork beofre using liesure facilities. liesure facility staff stayed late to ensure quipement working properly before finishing his shift, went above and beyond by recognising we had not picked up towels from reception, and hunted 2 down for us, and provided helpful information in a friendly and very supportive way about the facilities. Staff make up for pool being a bit unkept with some dirt /debrie visable along the bottom,
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We where dining at 5pm so it was before the rush for dinner so was perfect.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lodge on Loch Lomond. The restaurant had some building work going on but that didn’t detract from the great service and lovely food. We were not disappointed. Thank you. Staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our stay.
Nice friendly staff. Dietary requirements taken on board and catered for to a high standard.
Hi location and service was excellent the only thing that spoilt it was the construction work going on for the new extension which I appreciate can't be helped but even if they had seated us at the opposite end of the restaurant as during our lunch it was constant hammering above us as they were fitting a new roof!
Initial problem with our table (stopping my 6ft husband getting his legs under the table) was sorted immediately. Food from the Market menu was excellent. Staff attentive but not overly so. Cocktails were mixed beautifully. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
The food was very basic cocktails were not worth the money the service by the staff was good the breakfast was better than the dinner
We received an afternoon tea as a gift, but we were quite disappointed. We waited 50minutes past our booking time for our food to come. We had finished out coffee before any food arrived. The edges of the sandwiches and sponges were beginning to dry out, as if they had been sitting out in a warm kitchen for a while. We were offered more hot drinks, but my cup was badly chipped and I had to ask for another one. Staff were pleasant enough, but not particularly attentive. All in all, not the best afternoon tea we have had unfortunately.
Had a wonderful lunch. Service excellent and what a view from the dining room
Really good service and lovely food. Would definitely go again as the view is amazing
My husband and I dined with an itison voucher which advised a 3 pounds surcharge for steak fries, this turned out to be 6 pounds which my husband decided would be OK as he expected a nice bit of steak. Unfortunately it was a very fatty bit of rump steak and some french fries, not worth the very high price of 16.95 if purchased from the menu but also not worth paying 6 pounds extra for on top of the voucher price. We were also sat next to a leaking roof with water dripping into a metal bucket beside us for the full meal which made the experience a little uncomfortable. The staff were all friendly and my meal was nice enough but based on the above we wouldn't be likely to recommend or return.
All staff were very pleasant and although we only had the table for an hour and a half we never felt rushed. The food was fantastic. Not our first time and certainly not our last!
Wow! Simply lovely 3 courses. The service we received from Laura was great also. We felt so guilty having no cash to leave her a large tip, couldn't leave a tip via card or get cashback at the bar(this is my only negative) We would highly recommend
Very pleasant lunch, friendly willing staff and beautiful views of loch.
we were there as part of a groupon deal we got as a gift. was not clear that ham roulade would basically be a piece of ham sliced round and also served cold. my husband had fish starter also served cold. would be helpful to have that mentioned on menu. had beef for mains very salty
Accessible room did not have a walk-in shower, only a shower over the Bath! No "emergency pull" in any part of the room/bathroom and no provision to put stopper in plughole of hand basin!!
