About CLYDEBUILT Bar and Kitchen
CLYDEBUILT Bar & Kitchen is conveniently located at the Front Entrance of the SEC Centre. With its contemporary industrial design, laid back soundtrack and spectacular views over to The SSE Hydro from the bar area, it really is the perfect place to ‘Clock In’ and enjoy the pre and post show atmosphere.
Staff looked like and acted like they would rather be anywhere but at work. They didn't check on customers or check on food standards. We sat with dirty plates for a while in front of us. Restaurant was absolutely freezing and very draughty. Everyone in the front of the restaurant had their jackets on because they were so cold. Food wasn't great. The pizza was bland and tasteless and the burger had pieces of chewy fat in it instead of bacon. Don't think I would ever return. Very disappointed.
Booked for convenience as we were going to gig at Hydro, shpukd have used burger van outside would have been better
Good food and service....will be back
Ordered the chicken burger and took all my time to chew it as it was so dry, obviously been sitting for hours and then heated up and for the price I paid I was expecting fresh chicken. Would not eat there again. On a positive note tho the staff were lovely and helpful.
Food arrived quickly and hot. Staff checked in but weren't intrusive. Food tasty and reasonably priced, 2 pizza, 1 fries, 1 pud, 1 orange juice,1 large wine £40. Perfect for pre gig food.
Was quite shocked that I was charged £6.50 for an ice cream
Not a wide range of cocktails or certain Spirits.
Nice place to have a drink or bite to eat before a concert. Food quite expensive for what you get.
Handy location for gigs at the hydro. Felt the good and drink were overpriced. £32 for a bottle of average Prosecco is criminal in a place like that. Food was ok but felt the menu was limited for choice
Went before a gig food was really good had butternut squash salad which was lovely
Plenty of choice and good service.
Food quality is reasonable, but portion sizes are very small. Difficult to create atmosphere in a unit which is similar to sitting in a railway station. Staff friendly and efficient.
We arrived early for our reservation but this was no problem and we were seated immediately. Really good friendly service and we enjoyed our food and drink. We weren’t rushed to leave, lovely place we would definitely recommend and return in the future.
We had 2 fish and chips and a bottle of' pinot grigio wine , which was not worth £20 a bottle.Almost £60 for a main course each sharing a bottle of wine which were all below average before our concert at the Armadillo. Not impressed , won't be back,, such a shame because the staff are fabulous.
Overpriced food and poor service. We were disappointed.
Service superb and that was down to the servers who were excellent. Full of smiles and clearly enjoying their work.
Probably use twice a year and getting tired of the same dishes every time, shame there is no change to menu through out the year. This time round staff seemed a bit disorganised and not as pleasant and smiley as per previous visits however must say the food was good.
Why make a reservation. It was busy but it didn't seem to matter that we had a reservation we still had to queue. Added to that they have now changed how the restaurant runs. You are shown to your table you then have to go and stand in another long queue to put in your food and drink order and pay. your food is then delivered to your table. I note for my next booking I am advised I have the table for 1 1/4 hours. With all this queueing I wont have time to eat!! there used to be two sides to Clyde Built one where you had to queue and then personally put in your order - I always used the one where I was served! Now it is just like an overpriced McDonalds.
Great service, great food! Will be back in future.
Band in bar were too loud
Staff friendly and efficient, food made quickly and was great quality. Would definitely recommend.
Nice pizza. Flat cola. Handy for venue.
Staff lovely, not the biggest selection on the menu but food was lovely none the less.
Bit pricey for what you get
