Amazing atmosphere! Accommodated all needs and more. Looking forward to going back already!
We had a nice friendly waiter.
My first visit to Cloud 23... from booking to our afternoon tea being completed, I couldn’t have asked for more! Thank you to all the wonderful team; will definitely recommend you and will definitely return.
Lovely afternoon great views
Had a fab time with friends and was served by a lovely, friendly waitress (sorry can't remember her name but know she is from Poland). The only negative is that there is no seating for parties of 4 in the window areas which is a shame because you don't get the same views seated in the middle area.Perhaps you could make some?
Enjoyed a relaxing, enjoyable visit on Friday 17th August. Food was delicious, service was excellent, cocktails were delightful! cannot wait to visit again.
Food, drink were fab and excellent friendly service
Arrived for a booked window seat for 2 at 9pm - we were supposed to get champagne and nibbles on arrival - but over an hour into the evening nothing had arrived. I spoke with a waitress who said I'll bring it straight over - didn't even apologise. 30 minutes still nothing. Eventually got the drinks and nibbles and waitress did apologise saying we were mixed up with some other guests (not really good enough) following this we were told on arrival that it was table service?? Not once did anyone ask us if we would like to order drinks - I had to go to the bar to get them. Not a good start. I would like to visit again and see if it was a one off or whether the service really is just poor consistently.
Great service and friendly staff.
After waiting an hour for afternoon tea to be served, once seated; we had informed that we had 2 in the party of 8 that could not have fish and 1 that needed brown bread. These people were pointed out and were at the opposite ends of the table. When the food finally arrived 3 servings were squashed onto 1 tray. The second tray of 3 servings had the no fish and the brown bread only. We said we were at opposite ends of a most uncomfortable and curved arrangement of seating and the response from the serving staff was that we would have to change seats. This would have required the mother of the 2 young children to move away from her children to the opposing end of the table. This was unsuitable. It was then noticed that the brown bread had fish which was sitting next to the no fish due to allergy portions! So we waited again whilst afternoon tea was again prepared. The no fish servings were brought on one tray and the brown bread serving was brought on a separate tray to myself The serving staff commenting 'now you have your own tray' the tone used made me feel very uncomfortable. The children's afternoon tea was serving coffee and walnut cake!!!!!! The scones were dry, the sandwiches uninspired. I was incredibly embarrassed as we had brought visitors from Australia to this afternoon tea having raved about how amazing cloud 23 afternoon tea is. Well it was the exact opposite. The only thing that did not disappoint was the view, but this will not bring me back ever again.
The service was exceptional and we were very well looked after. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious. The view was unbelievable. We have no hesitation in recommending afternoon tea to anyone.
We really enjoyed our experience. A friend had bought a hroupon for cocktails and nibbles. Choice of nibbles was ok but the cocktails were delicious. Waitress could have cracked a smile and attempted polite conversation but overall we had a great evening.
We had a lovely afternoon drinking champagne cocktails with excellent service and amazing views.Thank you
Visited Cloud 23 with a party of 13 people. They had prepared a lovely table for us so that we were all together. The service was excellent and the cocktails delicious. A great bar for that special occasion.
Fabulous! Great food, attentive service but not invasive, great atmosphere - we will be back again!
I attended the Cloud 23 with my sister (who was in from Canada) and three other guests. I was throughly disappointed with our experience. I was unaware that I had to request a view seat and so we were crammed into an odd seating arrangement in the middle of the room with two different sized tables that were clearly not big enough for the amount of food that we were served. the service e also was horrible our server didn't introduce himself or explain how the tea worked. He asked us if we wanted a hot drink but did not explain that tea would not becoming with the food, and so when the sandwiches arrived with no tea we then had to order our tea and hot drinks. There was no sugar or milk on the table and no one came back to give us any so we had to get up and ask for this. I had to remind our server that one of our parties was pescatarian even though I clearly explained this in the booking. As mentioned the view we had was terrible so when we tried to find a nice spot to take a picture we were told we were not allowed to do this and it was impossible anyways as there were no clear spots to even take a picture as there were tables in front of every window. The food was Ok but I found it very limited in regards to savoury sandwiches, I think there were two each and then a load of just sweet cakes that were fine but in all honesty were just too sweet and bland. As this is supposed to be the nicest high tea in Manchester I am throughly unimpressed and I think better value would be found at several other establishments in Manchester.
A great place for afternoon tea. Lovely presentation. The afternoon tea was good (especially the salmon smorgas and trifle shot) although the egg sandwich was a bit bland. Good hot, quality tea with an excellent range to choose from!
We had a very enjoyable afternoon. The staff very friendly.
We had a lovely time and the staff check on us for drinks more than enough times. The only issue I have is that we asked for sandwiches with no fish,as we are not great fish lovers and no beef, as we are Indian, and got given all vegetarian sandwiches. We did say that we eat chicken and pork, but none of these sandwiches were given to us. Anyway besides that, we had a lovely time and the staff were friendly and caring enough for our needs.
Fabulous love bringing my friends and family here to see the view from one of my favourite hotel chains over my home city. Afternoon tea is always good but the cocktails are amazing
The food was not their normal standard as the cheese wrap was soggy and the chocolate cake was very very dry and the jelly was liquid
We came for my daughter's 5th birthday and she loved it. It was a lovely experience and we will be back again .
Would have liked a better selection of sandwiches and cakes.
It was quite cold and kept our coats on. My Aunt was visiting the UK from America for the first tine. We asked for a table of two to be put together so we could sit by the windows but was told they were too busy to do it. I thought the could’ve tried to accommodate us.
The sandwiches and cakes were stale, we ordered 2 hot chocolates which barely tasted like chocolate, more like hot milk. I felt the service was somewhat rushed and As though I'm just another customer they are trying to get in and out of the door and there was no music. For such a reputable company you would assume they would offer a 5* service, especially for what the afternoon tea costs however my experience was anything but, left very very disappointed.
