Thank you for the lovely lunch!
Great service and food as before. Highly recommended.
Brought some clients along to Cliffords and cannot rate the service, food and atmosphere enough! The food was delicious!
Fabulous meal - 14 of us on the mezzanine floor and a great area for a private group. 100% recommend
The food was stone cold
We asked for a quiet table and they went to a lot of trouble to give us one. Really thoughtful. The service was very friendly and the food delicious.
Food and wine was delicious – good service too – really enjoyed it.
I've been to Clifford's several times since the venue reopened under Gemma's leadership. Tonight we had another excellent dinner there - the grouse was excellent. It's one of those hidden gems - don't be afraid to go down the stairs from Fetter Lane, the welcome at the bottom is worth it!
Very much enjoyed excellent dinner on Tuesday night Good to see your good review in the Evening Standard all the best Tim Morris
Food was lovely, service was spot on and the wine was on point.
Lovely team, great service!
The starter yesterday (a lamb dish) was not very good - I am sorry to say as the restaurant is generally good. It was very over cooked. However, the lemon sole was lovely. The waitress was not very knowledgeable about the dishes (and did not speak very good English). When asked about the side dishes for the fish, she failed to say that the fish came with green beans, so a side salad was not necessary.....
I am terribly sorry to hear about your experience at Clifford's. Our lamb is cooked for 8 hours and therefore is very soft and not everyone's cup of tea. We take reviews very seriously and I will be speaking to all staff to make sure this does not happen again. Kind Regards, Gemma
Excellent food, offer of sauces would've been nice but the burger was perfectly seasoned and never had gherkins laced with mustard - nice touch
Great evening spent in a lovely environment enjoying top class food and wine.
Delicious as always
A diverse and well cooked menu with a great wine selection.
What a cracking venue for a lunch! Delicious, great staff, and a fantastic place to spend a few hours.
Went here for dinner. Service was fine. Wine was nice. Unfortunately the food was a let down. Entrees were so-so, sauces were nice but the dishes were just ok, more pub rather than restaraunt quality and in my opinion not worth the price. Steak for the main was average, gravy was too watery and lacked flavour and the steak was below expectations (reminded me of a cheap pub steak rather than a restaraunt). Didn't risk trying a desert as didn't want to be disappointed further.
Another amazing experience at Cliffords both for breakfast and theatre supper. Food was delicious and as always a great welcome
