About Clarendon Restaurant
The Clarendon Restaurant is a comfortable contemporary space boasting large arched windows attracting an abundance of natural daylight. Chef and his team serve an A la Carte menu accompanied by daily specials including the very best fresh local produce, offering something for all tastes.
Our Sunday Lunch Carvery is a firm favourite with the locals. Choose from a variety of freshly prepared starters. Chef will carve your chosen succulent meat to enjoy with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables & plenty of gravy. Finish with a visit to our tempting dessert cart.
The Clarendon Restaurant is Situated at Brandon Hall Hotel and Spa, originally a 17th Century shooting lodge surrounded by beautiful gardens and woodlands
Third visit to the restaurant for lunch on this occasion it was very disappointing there was no entertainment and on this occasion there was very little selection of vegetables and deserts having previously been impressed by the restaurant we revisited taking our mother we were disappointed on this visit
Very nice starters. Carvery was OK but unfortunately for us, the beef was too rare. The chef did take it to the kitchen to cook it a bit more for us. My husband's beef was alright, but the 2 slices I had were from the end of the joint and they were too fatty. I didn't enjoy the beef at all. Great shame as I had been really looking forward to the carvery. Have had much better quality meals elsewhere for the money.
Enjoyed the food at the afternoon tea. Good variety of choice. The service could have been better as we waited over half an hour for the afternoon tea to be served. I think the room could do with some TLC as it looked tired and in need of renovating. Tape on the floor to hold the carpet together isn’t a great look.
The only fault we found was a bit of waiting around for the carvery, the vegetables & the desert cart being replenished other than that it was lovely food & service
The hotel called me and cancelled my booking 45 minutes before my family meal was booked!
Restaurant is clean and has plenty of room. I enjoyed the soup starter but one of our party thought the cold buffet option was a little limited. The meat on the carvery was succulent and there was plenty of choice. Unlucky for me the potatoes and cauliflower cheese ran out and took a long time to be replenished. The rest of my food was almost cold when the potatoes came out and I gave up waiting for the cauliflower cheese, The rest of my party though thoroughly enjoyed theirs. Great selection of cakes for dessert. Would come for Sunday lunch again.
The food was nice, people are very friendly. Defenetely will eat there again.
The food was all well presented and tasted wonderful. The menu, however, had shrunk considerably compared to previous visits, limiting the choice of dishes available. The sticky toffee pudding is the best I've ever tasted. The dining area was clean and tidy but was quite chilly throughout the meal, making the experience slightly uncomfortable. Service was good and staff were attentive and welcoming. As for the value for money, I had booked the three course meal as part of a spa break package and thought the whole experience was excellent value for money. I would definitely recommend the whole stay to family, friends and colleagues.
We booked an inclusive deal with meal plus bed and breakfast. The evening meal menu was very good. The fillet of beef was cooked perfectly and the whole meal was excellent. We will certainly return to this restaurant. The buffet breakfast choice was very good and quality was excellent.
