About City Hotel
Our Weavers Restaurant is named after the Linen and Silk Mills that used to sit behind the hotel and were, historically, the main employment for women in our area. The silk for The Queens Wedding Dress was spun and woven there before being sent to Buckingham Palace in 1947 and our Menu reflects the traditional dining our clients expect with contemporary classics everyone loves.
The food was fresh and delicious. We were served by Grant and a lovely girl whose name I didn't get - they were really friendly and attentative. The decor and atmosphere is great and it was really good value for money. No complaints!
Nice and cosy very welcoming staff that were attentive.
Staff are always very friendly, food is very tasty, measures that are in place make everyone feel safe, will definitely be back.
We had a lovely Afternoon Tea. All the staff are really nice and friendly. Highly recommended
Really freindly staff prompt service with good hot food , will be a returning customer for sure good luck in these difficult times
Beautiful meal and excellent service from All staff
Very clean and organised , great service and food
I had a fabulous afternoon tea on Saturday. The vintage china was a nice touch and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend it!! Just a pity I couldn't wash it down with a glass of Prosecco!
A very pleasant afternoon.
Service should have 6 stars. Enjoyable experience-will be back
Felt save under the restrictions
Once again spotlessly clean fantastic food & service thank you we will be back 🌟🌟
Ideal location. Very pleasant setting. Really clean, smart loos! Very good, friendly and efficient service. Great food; home-made soup was delicious and sandwich fresh and tasty. Have been before and will definitely keep coming. So good to see this old Dunfermline establishment brought up-to-date, given a welcome makeover and clearly well patronised in a central city location.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was friendly. The new decoration is welcoming and relaxing, I would definitely recommend for a meal or cocktail (when we can again).
Only one word would describe the food "delicious
Delicious afternoon tea with lovely fresh sandwiches, warm scones and fabulous cakes staff very pleasant and attentive
As always it is a delightful experience at the City Hotel Dunfermline. The Staff and service is second to none just perfect 👌 I always feel valued. Spoke with Alana an extremely pleasant Lady. Laura is a Diamond and a great asset to this Hotel, a favourite with many Customers. All staff are excellent though. See you for Christmas Dinner 🤶 Stay safe 😷 🙏 Thank you. Elizabeth Daly
We love going to the City. Excellent food and service.
The food choice was good with generous sized portions and we thought it was good value for money. The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive although the restaurant was busy we were served in a reasonable time.
I meet my friends for coffee and scones here. Good coffee, delicious scones, friendly staff and nice surroundings. Perfect.
After a visit last week where the service wasn’t as good as usual. This visit was back to the usual high standard
Nice to see somewhere open and busy when other restaurants are closing down.
The macaroni was pretty awful, my son loves it normally but yours was terrible. He couldn’t eat it. Please stop serving chips in a tin, you might think it looks nice but in my opinion it’s really not! My husband always sighs when he is served food in a tin as has to ask for a plate to tip them in. The chips were cold too Also you charge around £6 for three chicken tenders ... couldn’t believe you get only 3 ! Rip off. Very over priced The conservatory were we were sat, was so quiet , please play some Music to create a wee bit ambience . We could hear everyone’s conversations
