Celebrating a Special Occasion?
Let us take care of the finer touches such as a birthday cake or a floral arrangement to make your dinner or special occasion memorable. You may e-mail [email protected] or dial 415-345-5100 and request to speak to the Dining Room Manager on duty.
Wednesdays in the Main Dining Room
Back by popular demand, the Main Dining Room features a contemporary a la carte menu on Wednesday evenings. Favorite items from our Summer Menu include the Crispy Tempura Soft Shell Crab with Summer Melons, Micro Basil, Thai Chili Aioli and Ginger Vinaigrette, or our Pistachio-Crusted Lamb Loin with carrot puree, fresh summer beans, radishes, elephant garlic and tomato relish.
Thursdays in the Main Dining Room
Thursday nights are home to our ever-popular buffet. Savory aromas from our hand-carved prime rib quickly draw you in from the lobby as you enter the Main Dining Room. Once inside, you'll often find popular dishes such as our creamed spinach, seasonal vegetables, charcuterie and artisanal cheeses, freshly shucked oysters and poached prawns on ice, and a variety of freshly-made salads.
We are sorry but this restaurant is not currently accepting online reservations through ResDiary.
Exceptional table service from Peter and Danny. Just wanted to thank everyone for their hospitality!
We enjoyed a great service and ambience . Of course it goes same to quality of food.
Food has improved from a few years ago.
Joan, the piano player is a gem. Her music provides a festive mood to the elegant surroundings and first class cuisine.
a great choice for the buffet with everything anyone could want. From delicious salads, cheeses etc. to main dish choices(lamb, side dishes) to very tasty desserts! The service was attentive and the private Squire Room was perfect for our large group.
It has been a long time since I dined at the Thursday buffet and it was as good as I remembered. I was impressed with the wine list.
Food was great, service was great, it doesn't get much better than that! All around 5 stars!
Best meal in world. Congratulations on upgrades. Art Jampolsky
Excellent table service from our waiter. He even had good wine recommendations.
Food was great! Would have preferred a different potato option.
have only eaten in the MDR twice. A Thursday buffet and Lasagna night Had a wonderful time at both. Buffet cost is main reason for not eating in MDR more often
First time for me. Very nice. Room is good ... was a bit cold (temp) when we came but warmed up with more people. Food was good. Service was good. Wine service could have been a bit better but not a problem. Took a while to find beer. All good.
What can I say! Really nice waiter last night. Very positive and friendly! He and his bust boy are awesome!! So attentive!! Made our dining experience a total joy. We had a good time. Just wish we had more time to dine there more often. Kinda a bummer.... its the way it goes
It's the Thursday Night Buffet 5 Star Experience!
Service and atmosphere fantastic event and value for a wedding shower.
Peter was exceptional. Thank you!
Wonderful buffet spread for ‘holiday’ Thursday night; a family tradition. Thank you.
I think the numbering system for the wine list can be confusing since there are several wines with the same number. Each wine should have a unique number so the right wine is pulled every time.
We had a great time celebrating the holidays with the City Club’s Wednesday night holiday buffet. Beautiful, festive atmosphere, wonderful food & drink, great company—just perfect!
Fabulous! The buffet dinner and service was superb. The only negative, and this was minor, I included a couple of questions with my reservation and asked for a response, but none was received.
I was not expecting a buffet on a Wednesday night which is normally ala carte. I dislike buffet style and would never have come had I known that was the case. Not a pleasant evening for us.
The staff was friendly and professional. The holiday decor was perfect. And the music was relaxing for a wonderful dining experience.
High quality and great atmosphere.
