About Cinque Ports
IWA @ Cinque Ports serves up fresh vibrant Mexican Street Food. We are International Wrap Artists, so you can expect some dope fusion from around the world; and you might have guessed from our name that our food and drinks pays homage to the origins and evolution of Hip Hop. From the Dr Dresadilla, to the The Notorious P.I.G., the freshest French Tacos this side of the water, we're keeping it real tasty.
Excellent food and great service with lovely views of the sunset
My Mum and I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our drinks and food!
Waiter Archie was extremely helpful, very good at his job, polite, great personality, a credit for your reasturant. Top marks all round, thankyou
Really tasty food with great, friendly service. Our waiter was very attentive despite it being a busy Friday night. Drinks were also very tasty. Would happily return.
Felt safe with the management. Also really good idea for more tables outside and the barriers between table and street.
The burgers were perfect, really great, tasty homemade beef patty’s with the bacon & cheese tater tots on the side with Korean wings and grilled baby gem lettuce.. we’ll be back for sure.
We had a really lovely evening, we were served by a young man who was brilliant. Food was AMAZING. The only thing is that I would probably upgrade your house red.
Lucky Chip Burgers and Chips were 5 star! Can’t wait to eat them again ..
great food and staff. enjoyed the live music
Excellent staff & the best burgers we have ever eaten. Will definitely be returning
If we could give 0 stars we would! My husband and I booked a table Sunday morning for 4.30pm that evening. We arrived just before 4.10pm and were happy to have a drink before we were sat so we ordered a bottle of wine at the bar, to which they didnt have. This went on for another 3 bottles until we eventually came across one that they had. - A little worrying at this stage but we were not too fussed. After asking to open a tab we were then walked through to our reserved table where we were left - no menu, nothing apart from our bottle of wine. At around 4.35 my husband managed to get someone's attention to ask for a menu. At 4.55 that menu was delivered and by that time we had decided to not eat and go home. After speaking to the poor waiter who was clearly left to serve and clear with nobody to help and no guidance, we felt very sorry for him. He apologised profusely and you could see he was embarrassed after telling us he was trying to run both the floor and the bar himself. Upon finally managing to speak to the manager that was on at the time, we were given the low down that they were apparently dropped in the deep end 3 days ago followed by a lot of other excuses that blamed a number of different people apart from just owning up to the issues and apologising. Whilst I completely sympathise that they may have been dropped in at the deep end - the buck has to lie with someone, and as a manager I expect that to be you. Dining out is often a special thing for people and it was for us. It would have been nice to atleast recieve a meaningful apology and some sort of compromise instead of just being brushed off with an attitude that it wasnt their fault and ruining what should have been a lovely meal with my husband before he goes to Russia for work. My daughter has worked in many different hotels, bars and restaurants as a manager so we have a lot of understanding and time for when things can not go right. Even she was absolutely disgusted by the lack of service we received and agreed the situation should have been handled a lot better - especially for the type of establishment they aim to be. I believe a dining experience is as much service as food quality, and Cinque Ports failed dramatically at every single given opportunity to strive. Some complaint handling training, some general customer service training and training on how to support your staff would not go a miss for the management. If the management is not there for support and general help then what hope do the rest of the team have? I am incredibly sad to say that we had such an awful experience in a place that has such potential- the decor, the placement and beautiful views out the front of Margate beach and what looked like to be a delicious menu. I for one certainly will not be returning, my husband will not be either, and my experience has completely put my daughter and her family off trying it out too. Such a shame as it could have been such a better experience had our complaint been handled in a better manner
Staff are always friendly. I never feel weird eating alone.
Hi I had a table reserved for two people at 7pm but couldn't make it so I wanted to reschedule it for the following day, same time. I called around 5pm but no answer. I send an email to let them know but still no answer. I called the day I wanted to go, still no answer. I turn up at the restaurant and I was told the kitchen is closed. I find this experience extremely unprofessional and I'm not sure I would like to go back in this place again
Our first visit. Wonderful atmosphere, staff, food and service. We will visit again
Everything we had was cooked perfectly and delicious. We will definitely be back.
One of my fav places in Margate To eat drink & be Merry x
We love the Sunday roast at Cinque Ports and have been many times and travel from London to go there. The food is delicious, the pub is lovely, as is the service. However I would say on Sunday that the portions seem noticeably smaller than previously and I am absolutely gutted that it no longer comes with cauliflower cheese! This is one of the reasons I chose Cinque Ports above anywhere else to come. It really took it up a notch for me and balanced the roast beautifully. Also, the gravy was incredibly salty (and I usually add salt to everything). Please bring back the cauliflower cheese!? may not have noticed the gravy had I had it!
Booked my daughter's 21st birthday party there last Saturday and everyone had a great time. The staff at the cinque ports were brilliant and the organisation of the event was exceptional. They even created a special cocktail for the evening which went down a storm! I have also eaten there on a few occasions and the food is excellent - especially the belly of pork - to die for!! Thankyou everyone at the Cinque ports for everything you did for the party - we'll be in to see you all again very soon. from Fiona & daughters
Was told that we could bring our 15 year old daughter and her friends to celebrate new years and despite having this conversation when we came and bought the tickets two days before hand, when we got there on the night we were asked to leave as they weren't adults! The place is run by an idiot.
Lovely staff but menu not as described. Now mainly burgers and the fish and chips were not available. Vegan burger was particularly good though.
Excellent service and a really good Sunday lunch. Will come again.
very good service
The staff in whole, were absolutely brilliant. They even called us back after we all had left, when one of our group left their glasses . My only negative, was that I ordered the vegilicious burger with sweet potato fries but when our mains came out I was handed a beetroot burger and normal fries - as the water had forgotten to tell me of the change. Yes, it was delicious but I would have liked the opportunity to have ordered something else. Not great tbh.
Our meals took more than 1 hour to be served resulting in our parking ticket expiring. We came on recommendation but would not come again. Shame as the food was nice, but service was awful.
Service was a tiny bit slow but everything else was absolutely lovely x
