About Cicio Cacio Osteria
Book in to Cicio Cacio for a taste of home-cooked Italian, served in a family environment. Head Chef, Giulio Ricatti, has given the old building a new life with the opening of Cicio Cacio, bringing authentic, handmade Italian dishes to the people and visitors of Wellington. Anything that can be made by hand, is – including the bread, pasta, and sausages, all served home-style and with real Italian wine. Truly feel transported as you dine on bruschette, tagliolini ai funghi, and gnocchi gorgonzola. Buon Appetito!
The closest thing to being in Italy - Wonderful.
Thank you for the most amazing dinner. You were so busy but we were not rushed and your kitchen made everything to utter perfection.
First time at your restaurant and the interior is really homely which is so different from most restaurants, in a good way, the food was delicious and the service was very good, really impressed when foh have good menu knowledge and can explain everything, keep it up guys
Amazing atmosphere, great staff and delicious food.
Couple more mains suitable for vegetarians would be good! But all our party really enjoyed the food a lot. (Half of us vegetarians & not regularly eating out)
Incredible food and wine, amazing service and a truly special setting. Still one of my favourites in Wellington.
What a surprise this place was. We had a delicious dinner and night out at Cicio Cacio Osteria. Would definitely recommend - we will be back.
Delicious dinner, friendly service - highly recommended
We love your restaurant, especially the food and will continue to come. The food is fantastic but the reason I give a 4 rather 5 star review for food and drink is because the drinks fall short in terms of choice. Love that you focus on Italian wines but another sparking and a couple more choices of dessert wines would be fab. Service was OK but some attention to detail- filling out water, clearing empty stuff off the table etc more frequently would be good. Overall though. One word DELICIOUS!
This place was on my to-do-list for a very long time and it did not disappoint. Warmly welcomed from the moment we stepped inside, we loved every bite we had and the old european style setting was the cherry on top. Will definitely be back!
Can’t believe I had never been to this hidden gem. Beautiful food in a setting that transports you somewhere else
Wonderful food and service thank you!
Relaxed dining with great food and excellent service!
The staff were very sweet and professional. The restaurant is cute and has an authentic feel. Hubby really enjoyed the food, for me it was fine but didn’t totally love any of the courses. This is definitely a nice place to try if you want something a bit different.
best Italian in New Zealand, felt like we transported overseas.
Fabulous birthday dinner with my family. Gorgeous food, excellent service and classic trattoria decor. We've been been before and we'll be back!
Had a lovely evening thank you. We received great attention from our wastes Sarah who was both knowledgeable and approachable which is rare these days. Loved getting there early but that for deserved some kindling to warm the place up for us. Best meal or in ages. Already recommended to two other couples who will be booking in shortly!
A lovely meal and the service was 100%. I could believe I was back in Italy. Will definitely return.
Great place all round! If you want an honest opinion on the glassware, I'd go for stemmed glasses, but it's no biggie.... We love the quiet, the ambience, waiter with wine knowledge, .... pictures on walls...
Love this place and the food!!
Fantastic food and staff!
A-MAZ-ING as always - thank you!
Booked an early 6pm dinner for my birthday with my sister at Cicio Cacio. I had chosen this restaurant as I had a lovely dining experience from a previous visit and wanted to share the same experience with her. Our waiter was fantastic, with only one misstep being our sparkling water but this paled to our overall dining experience which was wonderful both in food and service. We were definitely lost in great good, conversation and Prosecco not realising that the restaurant had just left us to enjoy our evening without asking us to leave early. You have certainly won over my sister who absolutely loves Tiramisu. Thank you so much for giving us a lovely dining experience. My closest friends and I only whisper this secret with those who we think would appreciate it; so if you’re looking for dining that has great atmosphere and simple gorgeous Italian food, this is a hidden gem in Wellington and a must visit.
Fantastic evening out!!!!
Great food and atmosphere. Very knowledgeable and attentive wait staff. Overall a very good night out.
