fillet steak poor quality.very tough!
this was a change of venue as we were booked at don giovanni . amazing atmosphere staff showed teamwork as chef had accident in kitchen food amazing all staff attentive and we made it in good time for our show thankyou
We enjoyed the benefit of a 50% off food voucher and we all agreed that the food was excellent. The only downside was that the service was slow but we were informed of this when shown to our table. As we had 2 hours for our meal this did not inconvenience us in any way.A really enjoyable night.
Extremely tasty food made all the better with the August 50% off deal. Restaurant was busy but there were no delays in bringing out our food.
All good except for slow service even though we had told them we needed to be at the theatre for 7.30 - our table was booked for5.45!!
Visited Cibo due to Don Giovanni’s fire closure. We were pleased with our meal overall, although it wasn’t quite the same. The service was slightly lacking in some areas (two starters arrived and then the third only followed when the maitre de noticed it was missing etc.) and the atmosphere isn’t quite the same as the magestic Don Giovanni but we still had a good meal overall.
Fabulous service and delicious food
Food, atmosphere, service and wine all amazing. Firmly cementing itself as my favourite Italian in this fare old city of mine.
Really pleased to see the don Giavannis favourites there too!
Food was a little bit salty but the service was excellent, couldn't do enough for you
Brilliant as 50% off food. Steaks we're perfect. Drinks bit expensive. And 1 waiter who was rude but apologised after. Otherwise great dining with my parents for my boyfriend's birthday and balloons on the table too. Would definetly return. :)
Great food and service
comments are as compared to don giovannis - we thought the garlic bread (tomato and/or cheese) was doughy, little garlic and cheese not cooked - the steak was very good though the £5 addition to the advertised price stung a little - don giovanni is much better
I visited when CIBO was accomodating the staff and customers affected by the fire at Don Giovannis. Although it made the restaurant busy, the service was excellent, the food (especially the fish) was to a high standard and it was a joy to get served hot food. I will definately be visiting again.
Service was very poor from the beginning. Our drinks were forgotten about until asked again if we would like to order drinks. Starters were given, no salt/pepper offered. Mains came, no spoon given for pasta. We had to call them back for pepper and Parmesan. During the meal nobody asked us how it was. Once our mains were cleared nobody offered us a dessert menu. We left it half an hour and then asked someone over for the bill. When we advised of the poor service at the end of the meal it was blamed on the staff who work for don Giovanni. We originally booked at don Giovanni, one of our favourite restaurants that night and was disappointed by that response.
Fantastic service in difficult circumstances, staff are fantastic, food great, great atmosphere, highly recommend
Food was average at best and service was horrendous. Ordered three starters, expected to receive them all together, one came and was cold by the time the second one came out. The third starter was apparently forgotten. Then had to wait nearly an hour for our main because the kitchen was busy.
Terribly poor device. Walked out of restaurant before eating as even getting menus took too long
Had such a lovely evening with my family here. You can not beat their customer service it was amazing 10/10! Highly recommend this place.
Very good food. The staff were welcoming and friendly. An enjoyable evening! Thanks
We were extremely disappointed by our experience at Cibo. In fact, we did leave feedback on the day, and there has been no follow up or contact to try and redeem the poor experience we had. Firstly, we travelled to Don Giovanni’s for our bitthday meal, only to find out there had been a fire. There had been no effort to let us know or contact us. When we arrived we sat down and were served promptly - which was pleasant. However, our satisfaction was quickly soured by the amount of flies that were flying around our table, present for the duration of our meal. The wine was our favourite thing about the meal. The Seabass was bland and my lamb shanks were unevenly cooked due to their difference in size. Some were raw and some were overcooked. My frustrations were exacerbated by the fact that I was not asked how I would like it cooked, nor was I offered the right cutlery to cut the meat. Whilst the service was relatively slow, we were not too bothered, as we appreciated that there was a group of ladies present, celebrating their hen-do. We only paid for the meal given that it was 50%. Even then we were reluctant to do so. Overall, our experience spoilt my birthday meal, and in truth, I am truly shocked that the restaurant is sister to Don Giovanni’s - an extremely prolific and reputable brand.
We celebrated our daughters 18th birthday at your restaurant & what a fantastic night we had. From atmospher to food and service it was alllll 1st class. The food was amazing x Thank you so much. Anyone who is lucky enough to have Chris as their waiter is in for a wonderful evening. Thank you so much from our family to the whole team , we will certainly be back .
