About Church Road Cellar Door
The Cellar Door offers a range of activities for you to discover and experience Church Road, our wines and our 120-year-old history.
A variety of tastings are available giving guests the opportunity to explore our whole portfolio of wines including Cellar Door exclusive products and the prestigious TOM range.
We operate two tours daily, our morning Behind the Scenes tour and the afternoon Museum Winery tour.
The Behind the Scenes tour ($49pp) is an in depth look at the winemaking process. With glass in hand, this tour gives guests the opportunity to be walked through our fully operational winery, cellaring caves and museum as well as the chance to taste wines direct from tank and a prestige sensory food and wine tasting back in the Cellar. This tour is approximately one and a half hours long.
Our Museum and Winery tour ($20pp) is focussed on the rich history of Church Road Winery, wine making and the industry in Hawkes Bay. Guests have a guided tour of the museum, housed in our original underground wine tanks and finish in with an Innovation Tasting in our Tom McDonald Cellar. This tour is approximately one hour long.
