Chuku's is the world's first Nigerian tapas restaurant brought to you by a cheeky brother-sister duo with a love of good food, good vibes and their Nigerian heritage. After four years of popping up, we've opened our first permanent site in Seven Sisters, Tottenham and we can't wait for you to come and chop-chat-chill with us! Serving up sharing plates of authentic Nigerian flavours to the rhythmic sounds of afrobeats, we're here to whisk you from London to Lagos. No passports needed!
Great food great vibe.
Such a good vibe, delicious food and amazing service. Loved the interiors too! Can't wait to visit again!
More menu option and drinks and make portion size generous, especially for the price at which each tapas portion are charged. Would recommend to friends just for first time tasting experience, as i honestly like the way nigerian food were westernised. Unless those people are on a diet, i can also see them complaining on the portion size for real value for money. Apart from that everything else is OK.
First time trying the restaurant for lunch. Chuku's was perfect, there isn't anything the team there could have done better. Our waitress was kind, the food was delicious and authentically Nigerian. Portion sizes were spot on, not so much that you'd leave feeling super full and bloated, but nowhere small plates like how you'd get in other tapas restaurants. Atmosphere and decor matched the quality of the food. Genuinely can't wait to go back and try it with more friends!
I've had a lovely time at Chuku's. The food was amazing (the orange and ginger cheesecake was a particular highlight for me) and the atmosphere very friendly. I also appreciated the Covid safety measures taken (checking temperature at the entrance, perspex screens between tables, staff wearing visors, etc.) to ensure than both staff and customers would be safe while also comfortable. I'll certainly come back!
amazing restaurant, delicious food and great atmosphere! thank you for a fantastic evening x
Will be recommending to all my North London friends!
The food was absolutely delicious. Lovely staff and fantastic atmosphere.
I've had Nigerian food before once or twice, but this was a really great exploration of food and culture for two absolute beginners. We both really enjoyed the variation, creativity and ingenuity behind the food and the thought and craft put into creating every dish we sampled on the menu. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us to explore the amazing fare and appreciate the background and culture of the food on offer. Really recommend it to anyone, whether they're new to Nigerian food or seasoned.
I had a great time at Chuku's for my first visit. I've always wanted to try Nigerian cuisine (other than dishes I've already tried from friends) so this tapas style was a great way for me to do so. The staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great given the season we're in. I'll definitely be back again.
Went to Chuku's for my other half birthday. Initially had a bit of a bumpy start as the 3 chairs available was on a high stool which wouldn't be suitable for my 5-year-old. However, they kindly moved us to an appropriate table. Drinks and food arrived promptly. Loved the Jollof Quinoa, Do Do, prawns & chicken. The waffle and ice cream dessert was awesome. The price point a bit high when I compared it to the quantities we ordered versus what we would pay in a Dishoom for example, however, given its a new restaurant it's understandable. Overall, we were very happy and it met our expectations. Looking forward to the business growing and seeing more different options on the menu. Nigerian Tapas is definitely here to stay so do make sure you check them out and continue to support it!
Staff were so friendly and helpful. Delicious palm wine and definitely get the meatballs!
Had a great time here! Everything was spot on from the food to the service and a lovely atmosphere. (social distancing and saftey measures were also thorough without ruining the experience) Every item was super tasty and I will be back to try everything I didn't get a chance to!
Was the first time dining with them and truly enjoyed our meal. The team were welcoming and they have implemented screens between tables so felt very comfortable. The food was delicious - looking forward to returning.
I will definitely be coming back with more family and friends. The food was extremely tasty, presentation was awesome. The server was fantastic, up beat and professional. A wonderful experience had by all. To be honest we all had food coma!!! 😂
The food was very good. We tried about 5 tapas dishes each. Great flavours, lovely atmosphere. The tables had clear dividers between them. And the staff wore masks and ensured we applied hand sanitiser before entering. Our temperature was also tested on our foreheads before we entered.
Vibrant space; amazing staff; food to die for. I loved the glazed perfection of the kuli kuli chicken. The elating blend of palm wine and coconut rum. The bittersweetness of the okra fingers. The warming familiarity of the suya meatballs, reminiscent at once of a sweltering day at a street market and the balm of a having a warm dinner in the dead of winter. The flavour of the coconut-tossed plantain. The mush of the yam and the crunch of the mackerel croquettes; the moreishness of scotch bonnet jam (!). The fragrance of jollof quinoa. The indulgence of plantain waffles. The citrusy kick of chin chin cheesecake. And of course, the tricolour beauty of egusi. A total delight.
The food was very nice. Very good customer service. The plantain waffles were a hit.
I loved the millenial pink interiors, the artwork, the afrobeats on repeat and the delicious drinks and food! My highlights were the chin chin, moi moi, jollof quinoa, prawns and egusi. So delicious.
Tasty food in a friendly atmosphere.
Lovely food, and a different creative menu. Good service. Great for vegetarians. Some old favourites would be nice on the menu, as would bigger portions and more drink options eg mineral water.
Delicious food, fantastic experience.
Really delicious food, friendly staff, it was a really nice way to spend my evening so thank you.
