About Chophouse at Future Inn Bristol
The welcoming Chophouse Restaurant, located in Future Inn Bristol, and opposite the entrance to Cabot Circus. It is open to the public as well as hotel residents for breakfast, lunch, and an evening a-la-carte menu.
Serving soul-satisfying food with an array of authentic dishes. We pride ourselves on providing the best fresh, mouth-watering ingredients and binding them together to create succulent dishes that allow your taste buds to explore the delicious flavours of the West.
The restaurant has gained an excellent reputation and is the perfect setting for a family celebration, a catch up with friends, client meeting or an intimate dinner for two.
Our food is presented in an informally relaxed manner and is served all day, every day. There’s a wide range of beer, lager and wine on offer – almost all of which are available by the glass, as well as the bottle. Naturally, there’s a good choice of soft drinks too, including refreshing fruit juices, tea, coffee and hot chocolate.
Lovely food and drink, big portions, Desserts are too nice, great staff . Highly recommended.
The lounge area was both dirty and the sofa very grubby and worn out. Wine list only available as a qr code( I don’t have a reader) The limited menu was pretty uninspiring so because of all this we cancelled our reservation
Really lovely food and great service
Really enjoyed our visit, took advantage of 'eat out to help out' so value for money was good. All three of us had steak, one rump was perfect, one rump was underdone, my ribeye was overdone, which was a shame. All the food was really tasty, hot and well presented. Lovely glass of wine. Nice ambience. Efficient service.
We ordered rump steak and it was too tough to cut let only eat. The waiter offered free to compensate but manager no where to be seen. Others complained for same reason ie awful steak for £16 per head. Would never eat here again.
Unfortunately not a great dinner experience here. Started well with nice nachos but my drink order was wrong - white wine spritzer was brought out with lemonade when I’d asked for soda water. Waitress apologetic and changed it for me. No cutlery or napkins brought out with starter - eating nachos gets very messy with hands and we had no napkins to wipe up with. Then kids meals brought - we had asked for a plain cheeseburger but were given a chicken burger so had to send it back. My other child had asked for baked beans with his fish and chips but was given peas. No cutlery given with kids meals. Then cheeseburger brought out but was a beef burger with no cheese, and no fries! So I had to point out that fries should come with it as per the menu. It was getting embarrassing pointing out yet another error so my son just had his burger without cheese. We had to ask for cutlery when adult mains were brought out and also asked for ketchup which wasn’t brought - we had to remind waitress. We had asked for a jug of water on arrival but that wasn’t brought out to us either. And nor were the kids deserts which we had to remind the waitress about after waiting for some time. It felt like the waiting staff were quite stressed even though the restaurant was half empty - massive miscommunication between them and the kitchen and real lack of attentiveness. The waitress did come over to apologise and asked if everything had been ok - at which point I explained all of the aspects of our meal that had been wrong. She was very apologetic but no offer of anything to compensate or knock anything off the bill. So we paid £77 for the experience! Overall food was ok, nothing special, and we had booked again for the following evening which we cancelled as I wouldn’t return here.
Really nice food (prob the best we’ve had on this break). The staff couldn’t do enough for us, really great team. Definitely 5 stars all round. In fact we’ve had such a great experience we’re now thinking of booking to stay at the hotel next time we visit.
We had long waits for food and drinks, and one of the meals wasn't even sent out so we had all finished by the time one had arrived.
Great food lovely staff and would recommend to anyone
The staff were lovely and really friendly but they seemed very disorganised and on numerous occasions we had to go up to the bar to chase things we’d already ordered, twice for drinks and also for cutlery 5 minutes after our food arrived at the table when the server said he’d bring it straight over. Overall the food was lovely and the servers seemed to be trying really hard but just looked like they needed a bit of direction. Sort that out and it would be a lovely place to go
Another customer was playing music loud on there phone and it ruined the atmosphere
Nice food and friendly service
excellent service, hot and tasty food despite current limited menu.
Excellent service. Food was delicious! Staff also maintain social distancing very well
Excellent food, staff were very polite and helpful. Definitely will be eating here again.
Such amazing service - the whole hotel is amazing and customer service was so good - couldn’t do more for us. We only live in cheddar and usually just pop up and go home after shopping but thought sod it let’s have a girlie weekend away my mum , myself and my 13 year old daughter - it was all amazing xx
An excellent value set menu with some brilliant service - great start to the evening before the weekly Jazz Club
Really relaxed.nice food and lovly staff!!
Enjoyed our meal. Restaurant was very quiet which we were pleased with after a busy day.
Lovely not to have to leave the hotel ,but the quality of the food is always only just average. Service is great though.
Booked a table for a friends birthday, the restaurant was quiet as it was a lunchtime. Ordered first round of cocktails, fine. Ordered wine, specified what we wanted, wrong one given to us, ordered food...wasn’t written down so one of the orders was wrong after waiting over 45 mins for food to arrive, still the restaurant was quiet and only 6 of us eating. Friends order arrived after we had all eaten. Lots of waiting staff milling around but only one.(who was new) was picking Up the pieces of the experienced staff who had messed up our orders. Felt sorry for him because none of our complaints were his fault...hence why we left him a tip only. The food was delicious and if the whole dining experience had been better I would recommend, but the staff need to get their act together a bit especially if this was a quiet afternoon. I’d imagine it would be chaos on a busy day.
Excellent value and tasty
