Excellent service throughout. Excellent food and atmosphere
The food was excellent and the service and welcome even better !!
I was so disappointed with the experience. It was a special Birthday. The dining room was cold, the staff got a simple Afternoon tea order wrong 3 times. We were never approached again to see if we wanted any more drinks or if everything was ok and we had to find someone in Reception to pay as there were no staff about in Restaurant area. You gave us a complementary afternoon tea but it did not make up for the dismal experience. I had been looking forward to a nice afternoon but ended up apologising to my Friends.
Service was great nothing to much trouble
We visited on Tuesday this week for my fiancées 30th birthday. Had a lovely man wait on us for the first part of afternoon tea, very attentive and friendly. However, there seemed to be a change of staff half way through our time there and after that the service was pretty poor. No one came to ask if we would like more tea, we were unsure if someone would come to the table with our bill. We had been finished for around 20 minutes and no staff were to be seen. In the end we got up and hovered around the till area and waited another 10/15 minutes before someone finally appeared! Although the food was nice the poor service has put us off returning or recommending to friends unfortunately. And when paying over £60 for afternoon tea I would expect better service or at least someone to clear our plates etc.
2 for 1 afternoon tea offer great offer
Excellent, thank you. The hotel and the staff were welcoming and friendly. A very nice afternoon.
While the restaurant food and service were very good, the pre drinks bar area service was quite poor. We had to remind staff at least twice on both evenings ,as our drinks had not arrived.
Lovely venue. The staff were very friendly and efficient when the arrived but the service was a bit slow and staff were hard to find which is why I service a 4. Your service was better than that on my last visit to Eastwell Manor!
Le prix se justifie en partie par le cadre. Cependant, l’autoroute juste à côté dénature le jardin. Afternoon tea très cher pour ce qui est proposé.
The staff were helpful & very friendly & the food was outstanding.
I used the 2 for 1 offer on the champagne afternoon tea. Wow what a bargain. FABULOUS food, excellent service and beautiful surroundings. Could not fault a thing.
Really exceptional all round - we look forward to coming back
The staff were lovely , extremely helpful , went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed
I had to find staff to give us our menu, take our order. Which when it finally came (after 35 mins), the food came with no tea! Ihad to ask once and then when it still had not arrived we started with the food and after 10 minutes, I went in search of a waiter to further chase. Not a great start. That said, the afternoon tea was good. Service poor.
3rd visit this month and still as goid as ever
Had a lovely afternoon tea
What a lovely team of staff providing a fantastic friendly service on Sunday afternoon what a credit to Chilston Park name. The afternoon tee was as always excellent and even better on a 2 for 1 deal on the hotel website. Look forward to the next time
Excellent service , birthday treat for friend , card and plaque written for birthday guest, love this place been here many times and will continue to visit for many more , thank you for a lovely afternoon
Service was very slow and we were forgotten many times
Rather a bleak afternoon so could not see the benefit of the grounds which are extensive .we booked afternoon tea food and tea we’re excellent as was the service very helpful and could not do enough.
Wonderful afternoon tea, superb service and a great setting!
The staff were very attentive and caring in making our afternoon tea visit special to us.
Despite phoning ahead providing notification of a food intolerance to the team, this was overlooked on the day. We were in a different room to the rest of the afternoon tea bookings and unfortunately this meant I had to go and find someone everytime we wanted something Including replacing a missing cup, reminding them of the food swap, extra jam and finally sugar for the tea. I was up and down like a yo-yo it really was poor service. Deeply disappointed considering we had booked it for a special occasion, it wasn't nearly as special as I expected. The food in the photos on the website looked exceptional, unfortunately the reality is very different. The sandwiches tasted very bland, almost like they were made from cheap prepacked deli pots you'd get in a local pub chain and the cakes looked as though they'd come from Tesco, however the scones were amazing, freshly baked and beautiful but the rest of it was pretty poor. Not worth the money at all. A discretionary tip was put on the bill, I'm not sure what I paid an extra £15 for!!!
