Fried chicken & sour cocktails taken to the next level! Find us at 390, Kingsland Road, E8 and 1, Earlham St, Seven Dials www.chicknsours.co.uk
Our waitress was lovely and I'd def recommend this to people!
We were rally looking forward to our visit to chick N sours but unfortunately the food did not live up to our standard. The chicken was very salty and I did not enjoy the food.
Food was really good. However, the restaurant was dirty and scrubby. Music was wayyy too loud. We were originally sat at two seats where the waitresses would keep bumping the one seat as they walked past. Upstairs vibe was like a scrubby bar with a bunch of boy chugging beers outside. It was a little embarrassing to have brought someone on a date there.
The set menu is perfection... end of!
Great chicken, but even better service. Everything was seen to straight away, and all needs were met with a brilliant exuberant demeanor.
Food was incredible and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
Really good food
The set menu is a little too much food, second time I’ve had it ( didn’t learn the first time) and was again overwhelmed by the amounts and I can eat! But was all delicious, the aubergine was fantastic
Love the wings and fries, always great music
My third time at Chick N Sours (and first at Haggerston), and my first time on a Sunday - the only day you can order the Whole Fry. Once again every single thing we ordered was exemplary. The whole chicken (quite the centrepiece) has a super crunchy batter, the meat is extremely tender and the flavour topping (we went K-Pop) takes it to a whole other level. The dips are a must (we ordered 4 of the 5) and serve to keep every mouthful varied and delicious. But the surprising star of the show (and this is no secret), is the sides. The green slaw and pickled cucumber cut through everything wonderfully and the star of the show? The Schezuan Aubergine. Not only do the little chunks of aubergine quite literally melt in your mouth, but the Schezuan sauce might also be the most delicious and well-balanced sauce I've ever tasted. Pro tip - keep the bowl to dip your chicken in the sauce. Wash that down with some super fresh, tangy sours (we went for Gin) and you cannot go wrong. I would (and have) recommend this to anyone and everyone and am already scheduling my next visit.
mmmm delicious chicken and sandwiches! Nice cosy atmosphere and my group was very relaxed. We needed lots of advice as it was our first time. Negative feedback would be needs better signage!....We walked past this restaurant and so did another couple in our party.
Top waitress. Helpful, caring and amusing.
Great fried chicken, if you like very brittle batter. We took home takeovers of the house fry and the batter was still crunchy lunchtime the next day. Innovative asian sides. Gong pao chicken wings were a bit too acidic for my taste so I will order something with a different sauce next time.
Was lovely! Tasty meals that didn’t break my pocket! Will be leaving a review on my Instagram- @_sandraldn
Excellent as always
Best fried chicken I tried in London
We went for lunch on a Sunday so was fairly quiet so can’t really comment on atmosphere but everything else was top notch. Watermelon salad was a genius combo I’d never have thought would work the way it did. Aubergine starter had great flavour too and roadie ipa very tasty. I’ll be back for sure.
Great food. Friendly service.
Went for the set menu and the food was wonderful. I would highly recommend!
Lovely food, at gd prices. Staff where wonderful.
