Set in Chester’s old Fire Station, Chez Jules is a warm, welcoming and friendly restaurant in beautiful surroundings. Chez Jules menus change every day to ensure we are consistently producing the finest, most imaginative fresh food at very reasonable prices. We look forward to welcoming you soon…
Excellent food cant fault it the staff are brilliant to we will be returning
Not a slate board or chip basket in sight, just really good quality food
Our dining experience was fabulous. We were greeted and attended to with friendly professionalism. Our only slight criticism was the young lady serving our dessert shouted our orders before handing them over our heads. 😳. Although we saw the funny side of it, we were a little shocked at that part of the service!!
Every visit to Chez Jules is a pleasure. Good food, excellent vegetables and good service. A winning formula!
Lovely meal, beautifully presented and cooked. The prix fixe menu was very good value. I loved the crepes - a lovely change from the usual vegetarian options you get in some restaurants .
A lovely evening on the cinema night, the food was delicious, service was very good and wonderful to watch a french film there, great value for money, will do it again
Great lunch! We all enjoyed it. Thank you xx
Booked table for wedding anniversary. Staff attentive, helpful and friendly. Food absolutely lovely and drinks very acceptable too. Service was actually too quick. Initial drinks were just arriving at our table when along came the bread basket and then our starter. Main course arrived very soon after starter had been cleared. We managed to take our time and delay ordering a desert and coffee. I know you don't want to wait ages between courses but this was just too fast. Couldn't be because the table was needed as the restaurant was only about half full. Less rush but keep the food as good as it is.
A fantastic find our first time in Chester, staff are wonderful food is superb a really great experience !!
Lovely atmosphere, wonderful staff.
Fantastic meal and excellent service. I especially liked the mini pudding sharing board. Mains of duck and lamb were delicious and it was a nice touch to get a good portion of veg and potatoes. I would have liked to have seen frogs legs on the menu. The goats cheese on the cheese board was beautiful.
Excellent - never fails to disappoint!
Great atmosphere, great service, food a little on the oily side, but tasty and well presented. Prices are fair, and the cinema nights are great value!
Please add more french desserts. Tarte tatin, charlotte, opera cake, souffle, pot de creme...
A fantastic place, I visit it regularly (twice a month-ish) and I have never been disappointed in any respect. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Chester as a ‘Must Eat Here’ venue.
Had been a few years since our last visit and we quickly realised that we’d made a mistake in letting Chez Jules fall off of our radar. We enjoyed a fantastic evening thanks to the great food and brilliant service which was helpful and attentive, answering all questions and providing really good advice throughout the evening. Compliments to everyone in the kitchen and, again, special thanks to our waitress and the restaurant staff. Some of Chester’s newer restaurants could learn a hell of a lot from Chez Jules. We’ll definitely be back soon.
I have been coming to Chez Jules since it opened and it is my number one restaurant in Chester. Saturday night was the 1st time one of my son in laws had been and none of the grandchildren had been before. They all really enjoyed themselves, we all did . We had a great night , thanks to all the staff for their hard work ,they are brilliant.
Always a pleasant welcome, great food, attentive service, and a 'see you again soon' goodbye. A most enjoyable evening.
Lovely food- veggies always well catered for. Fixed price menu good value for money. Only small complaint is the music was a bit loud. Also do your windows open? -seems a shame not to enjoy summer air!
Excellent food and service as always thank you
Great lunch there atmosphere nice Service good Waitress friendly Value for money I had a steak for ten pound which was excellent
Really like to eat st Chez Jules. Love the food, the atmosphere and the good value for money. The only thing I’d like to see change is the vegetable selection - which taste great (especially the red cabbage and the potato dauphinoise) - but isn’t red cabbage more of a winter veg? Perhaps more seasonal veg, ie courgettes, peppers instead of red cabbage, would be nice in summer time.
Been visiting for many years and always a good experience
