About Chaophraya Manchester
Find us just off King Street and closed to Cross Street. Escape the bustle of the city with a visit to Chaophraya Manchester. Accommodated in a heritage building, tucked away on Chapel Walk close to Cross Street, the restaurant takes inspiration from Thailand in its style. Our culinary team bring together classic Thai and distinct signature dishes, accompanied by a fantastic range of cocktails, wines and beers. Celebrate in style in our stunning private dining room or sunken seating tables.
We had the early bird menu, which was very good value and lots of choices. Wine was most expensive I have paid. Mostly service ok,however one particular female was quite ,noisy when bringing food or taking plates away.Lots of banging of crockery.Unlike genuine Thai people who are very gentle ,quiet people,I have found.
Maybe we made the wrong selections on the menu however the food wasn't up to our expectations.
Fantastic service and super tasty food. Wouldn't hesitate to come again or recommend.
I booked for my boyfriends Birthday after a fantastic experience at Chaophraya Edinburgh. Sadly the Manchester restaurant did not match or even come close to its sister restaurant. There do seem to be nicer parts of the restaurant, we caught a glimpse of another area as we left, but the table we were seated at had a street view and reminded me of a late night Curry house. The service was very slow but our waiter was friendly and quick to rectify a problem with our mains (we had asked for rare steak in the Weeping Tiger but were served medium) the manager also came over to apologise which was appreciated . Edinburgh had set the bar so high (with a fabulous atmosphere and impeccable food) so maybe we expected too much but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing and the food mediocre. I regret choosing Chaophraya Manchester as the venue for my boyfriends Birthday as it was memorable for all of the wrong reasons
