About The Cellar at the Ross
The Cellar @ The Ross is the romantic candlelit dining space part of The Ross. Our food is contemporary and local in a unique and innovative design – it features a stainless steels and glass curved staircase, which complements the warm lighting and the vaulted ceilings, leading to a dramatic setting. We cater for parties, small weddings and those very special events leading to a fun filled, memorable experience for you and your guests.
Had a fabulous evening from start to finish. The food was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent food and service would highly recommend this restaurant.
This was our third time back and it was as good as both previous trips. Food is beautiful and the setting is magnificent. Just the right level of service in that the waitress was't constantly checking in but was there if we needed anything. We were seated near a party of 10 which became very loud mid meal which may it hard to converse. I didn't see anyone address this with the group but we had nearly finished our meal anyway so we went to the bar instead for an after drink. Overall, Cellar One is our go to restaurant when in Killarney.
Excellent food. A treat when we come to killarney.
Staff party of 16. Food, service and ambiance was superb. We had pre drinks in the Lane Bar and again after dinner. The perfect place for a group to mingle in a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Thank you Cellar One and the Ross Hotel for an amazing evening.
Lovely hotel and great NYE food
Food and service were excellent- would definitely recommend The Cellar to friends visiting Killarney
Lovely setting, food delicious, great service, will call again
Repas anniversaire parfait. Personnel discret et efficace.
Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect.
Lovely staff very friendly and fab food
We were a party of 5. The table we were pat could've seated 7 or 8. People sitting on the bench seats were too far to eat from the table. We had to split the tables into 3 and 2. The scallop starter was cold. Our main courses took 1 hour to arrive and the fish was luke warm when it arrived. The children's meals didn't arrive to the table until the adults did. Very disappointing for the prices charged.
A nice evening at the Cellar. Food & service as good as ever, although atmosphere a little muted by only the basement being used. Killarney has many good places to eat and the Cellar is certainly one of them.
Would highly recommend. Lovely atmosphere ,delicious food and great service.
The food, the service and the atmosphere, all perfect for a date night even more with the piano playing.
Very pleasant experience. I really liked the atmosphere and the food was great with excellent service.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Cellar! The space was perfect for our party of 26 people. The food &service was excellent. Well done to Roger and all the team! Thank you!
Fabulous meal, fantastic service and lovely atmosphere-overall a wonderful dining experience,
We certainly felt welcomed at The Cellar - all the staff were very professional and friendly. We never felt rushed. The children's menu was perfect - we had three grandchildren with us. The food was quite good and the portions were very generous- but if I had any criticism it would be that the dishes were too "busy" - too many layers. Sometimes simpler is better. But we'll be back for sure.
Couldnt have been better !!! Will be back
Overall a really lovely meal and the wine was very good. Didn’t impact our enjoyment but the vegetables were the raw side all dente - could have done with an extra couple of minutes cooking. I had the prawn dish for main, portion rather small but it was tasty. It did allow room for desert - sticky toffee pudding - which was lovely. We all said we would return but I’d probably get a different main course. Staff & service was very good.
Fantastic food. Sommelier “Mixed up” our reserve wine with a regular one, didn’t even come to apologize, sent a young waitress and then instead of comping the much cheaper wine, they “offered” to bill us half price; the reserve 2014 bottle is 3x the price of the 2016/2017 vintage
Lovely meal, and phenomenal value for the quality of the food! We will absolutely be back next fine we're in Killarney. Thanks, Daniel
