We all had 2 Tapas style dishes each - mussels excellent, foccacia & Camembert good, however beef carpaccio was miniscule! Overall ambience, comfort and service very pleasing but value for money NOT SO GOOD especially as it was a lunchtime !

Daughter was over charged £60 though this problem was fixed when they noticed on receipt, great atmosphere, beautiful lights could do with a few more heaters! Very friendly staff though!

Enjoyed a really nice meal here in the garden area. The staff were friendly and the food was nice. Service was a little slow but, after being closed for a long time due to covid, it will perhaps take a while to get organized. There were electric heaters along the edges but some of them, like ours, didn't have bulbs, so it was getting quite chilly by the time we were onto pudding! We really enjoyed it and would likely go again but probably wouldn't recommend to friends due to the issues.

Truffle fries disappointing and pizza had a soggy bottom despite asking for it crispy. Ashtray on table was full...not very hygienic. Otherwise very pleasant and will return.

From having to wait 5 minutes to be seated, and then a further 20 minutes of waiting for a drinks order to be taken to then wait 15 minutes longer with no drink or food order even been taken, the service was utterly shocking and not one bit attentive. After booking on the off chance of trying somewhere new and hearing some pleasant reviews we were disappointed about our visit.

I was in two kinds as if to leave this feedback or not coz I know you guys have tried hard in the past. I just was really disappointed, felt sorry for some of the staff there and felt let down unfortunately. Such a beautiful spot you’ve got there, menu looks amazing but that’s where it all stopped. Service was so slow I saw people getting food after waiting an hour, even simple drinks were taking ages to come out. Seemed very little organisation. It took so long to be asked if we wanted food, we ended up not ordering because of how long it was taking others to get theirs. So instead of spending easily over £100 we spent £22.50. As I say I felt sorry for you guys for not having the leadership you needed. Or maybe an off day. I don’t know. But I don’t think I’ll be rushing back. Sorry guys. :(

We have been to Cave Bar & Grill quite a few times in the past, pre Covid to celebrate birthdays etc and had the most amazing experience however our latest visit was absolutely appalling. I found the staff to be SO rude and unhelpful which made the whole experience quite unpleasant and made me and my family feel uncomfortable. We got seated outside and ordered a round of drinks which took that long to arrive we actually had to ask a member of staff twice when we were likely to receive them. It is also extremely frustrating when you see customers who have arrived and ordered after you, receive their food and drink before you despite you waiting longer. My boyfriend ordered a Coke as he was driving so was unable to drink and when the drinks were brought the waitress had brought a Diet Coke which he informed her was wrong and she made out as though he should just keep the diet one because it was too much of an inconvenience to change the drink. She also handled the top of the glass where he would of been drinking from rather than holding the bottom of the glass, which is very concerning and off putting considering the current times we are living with Covid-19. Our food then arrived, my parents both ordered the cheese burgers which were burnt to a crisp on one side. My boyfriend ordered the Korean chicken burger which was SO burnt it was literally black and looked as though it had come off a grill which hadn’t been cleaned for months. I ordered the chicken Parmo which was stone cold and soggy. And me and my boyfriend both upgraded our fries to truffle fries yet when our meal arrived they came with ordinary fries and the onion rings which we ordered didn’t come out with our meals and had to be cooked as they had been forgotten about. Our food arrived but we had no cutlery brought to us beforehand so it was sat getting even more cold whilst we waited for this to be brought to us. And once it finally arrived there were no napkins! There was also no offer of any sauces. Upon making this booking, I put in the special requests section that it was my mums birthday yet there was no effort to make any sort of special arrangement for her. Which I know is something which has happened in the past because I have made requests before which had been fulfilled. Also when we left the restaurant and came to pay, the waitress said was everything ok and my partner actually informed her of how bad everything was and her response was “oh okay” there was no apology or anything - the manager was also there when this conversation was happening and he just stood on his phone not interested and didn’t even attempt to get involved. When we came back inside to leave, the waitress who was inside had her face mask off and was smoking a vape which I really don’t thing was appropriate or professional in any way! She obviously stopped when she realised we had come inside but I still think this shouldn’t happen regardless. This has really put us off coming back to the restaurant which is such a shame as we used to absolutely love the place!
