About Catalina Bar and Restaurant
Boasting contemporary interiors and a relaxed atmosphere, Catalina serves a delicious buffet breakfast, with a modern Australian a la carte menu offered at lunch and dinner. Coffee and cake is available throughout the day.
Excellent Club sandwich....
Food was good. Parking available underneath.
Possibly add a couple of more salad options in for lunch (with summer) ....
Always a lovely meal.
Quite noisy when there are people in the bar area. No wine list for dessert wine, port, cognac, whisky.
Worst service I have ever had. Had to ask girl to order, for our drinks, to bring us bill, to go get bill, and more and more. She just stood around.
Had a great, relaxed family lunch.
Would have been good for a 3 star Motel but falls short by the standards of a high quality hotel.
Always enjoy a meal at the Catalina when ever we visit
Excellent start to Melbourne cup day
1. Reservation made on line and restaurant sent me a reminder a few days before. But no record of it when we arrived. No matter. It was a quiet night. 2. Notice at restaurant reception said my Accor membership, which I pay for, would not be recognised as it was a public holiday. No doubt there is some fineprint that allows this, but I am not aware of it. Unhappy. No attempt by manager to explain or issue regrets. Now a captive as no convenient alternative restaurant available. Why could the restaurant not advise me when the booking was made, or when it sent the reminder message to me? No matter. I reduced my anticipated order and restaurant probably got less $$ than it would have. 3. Ordered barramundi. None. Salmon. None. No matter. The lamb was good, but not what I wanted. Why not tell diners when the menu is handed out that some items are not available. Three negatives on the first night of my holiday!! Hope the next month is better.
My husband and I enjoyed a casual lunch and also a delicious evening meal. Service was great, food exceptional. Thank you.
Enjoyed the evening. The food was cold by the time it came to the table though but the service was very good and they kindly remade my daughter's burger because she did not like the "bacon jam" on it. That was impressive. But the burger was way over priced for what you got.
Please change the menu more often!
The staff are gréât. The food is fine. I particularly liked the breakfast.
We had a lovely dinner before an International trip. Lamb Harissa was awesome 🤩. Possibly one of the best lamb dishes I have ever tried in any restaurant.
I wasn’t sure what to expect however, the food was delicious, value for money and I was totally stuffed. The rosemary potatoes baked in wagyu fat were to die for as was the seafood chowder. It was nice to have a problem trying to choose what to eat, there were some really nice menu options.
We have enjoyed coming here for breakfast buffet when attending functions in Brisbane for the last couple of years, sadly I think your breakfast buffet is going downhill, obviously showing signs of cost cutting. Will think twice before going again.
The staff were amazing ....
Butter was rancid; really off and reported to staff Otherwise not too bad at all; should have been offered a discount
Lost count of the number of times I have been to the Catalina restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have been there as a couple, a larger family group and also in a group for a small charity event/get together. The food, service and arrangements have always been excellent and certainly have referred people here. An excellent spot for a coffee as well if waiting for a plane to arrive which we have done on numerous occasions.
Love the atmosphere bar was great drinks nice and cold. Food amazing fresh oysters beautiful I had the 250gm steak with mash and pepper sauce absolutely Devine. Hubby had the chicken and not a skerick was left on the plate loved it thank you
Very disappointing. My online booking was not on the booking sheet at the restaurant. They didn’t have the wine I wanted. The calamari entree labelled “gf” which I wanted because I’m a Coeliac is cooked in oil that gluten items are cooked in. The 1 positive was the waitress was great and very switched on with the needs of a Coeliac and she is the one that alerted me to the way the calamari is cooked. Well done to her but not the restaurant.
