Perfect meal, terrific service and wonderful setting - and the special offer to get free entry to the village is a no-brainer!
A place we love to come to for lunch, but when you eat somewhere like this you mustn't even consider value for money. It's excellent but not cheap!
Lovely atmosphere and location. Attentive staff. Thanks
Had a lovely meal here would have been nice to have some background music so we didn't feel we had to whisper . Food was superb! Surroundings were lovely & staff were very accommodating , can't wait to visit again soon
Excellent lunch, good value, will come again.
First rate welcome and attention to detail.
Pre lunch drinks very expensive. Food good value. Service excellent
From the moment we arrived the service was excellent, Freindly, Polite and welcoming. The service matched the surroundings, which where a statement of grandeur from them instant you see the castle on the approach up the drive. The food choice was a little limitted but still catered for all. My wife & I had Haddock & Chips, while our daughter had Mussels, all meals cooked to an extremely high quality.... Hmmm so good. Puddings where equally as good, I had cheescake, the wife Chocolate tarte. Both in there own right were scrumpsious (i'm not a fan of chocolate tarte). The daughter decided on the cheese board which she enjoyed but I thought was a little deviod of quantity. Value was resonable for the quality of the food served but still a little expensive for the quantity of food served with exception of the daughters Mussels. Over all though I would recommend a meal at the Castell Deudraeth and will probably return in the future.
Fantastic views, friendly service.
Nice family meal. Very good attentive staff.
The meal was very well presented and most delicious. The only slight negative was the time we had to wait for our main course, but well worth it
Stunning location, pleasant and helpful staff, food was excellent. Would always recommend a visit.
The service was excellent there was rather a loud group where we were so we came out after we had finished our food to complete our drinks. I asked if my husband could have a hard back chair as the setee was rather low and nothing was too much trouble. The steaks were cooked to perfection. I wish we lived closer so that we could visit more often.
Lovely food my only complaint would be that the vegetables are not done enough for my taste
Very good food in excellent surroundings
Very very Delicious but small portions
Everything from arrival to departure was superb
We were holidaying at the Portmeirion hotel, and I booked the castle restaurant for my husband's 60th birthday meal. We sat and had cocktails whilst we choose our meals. So glad we went straight to the main course. The meal was generous and delicious. The service was excellent, the staff were knowledgeable as we needed food to suit my husband's coeliac diet. Meilir, our waiter was witty and personable. Such a lovely visit.
Very happy with our visit. I would highly recommend this venue for lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful, couldn't be nicer. Will visit again.
Wonderful birthday meal
