About Casa Malevo
Casa Malevo is a traditional Argentine restaurant.
Very cosy atmosphere, excellent food and service
Really great food but service was somewhat lacking
our family had a wonderful meal and evening at Casa malevo last night. fantastic steaks and warm atmosphere in a great location. we would recommend to anyone and will come again one day - we are from out of town so couldn't commit to when that may be tho!
Great balance of food vs price. Steaks first rate
The food is good, not amazing though, with the exception of the creme brulee which was outstanding. However the service was absolutely fantastic.
Excellent food and service, perfect atmosphere. Slightly overpriced.
Excellent steaks, fab sides too. Starters were a little small. Restaurant was very busy so service wasnt very attentive. Overall though, recommended as the quality of the food and wine was 1st class
We had a superb meal, the service was perfect and the staff did everything to make it a great way to celebrate my son's birthday, thank you.
A delightful ambience with very charming, attentive staff but that may have been helped by the presence of my extremely attractive niece! The food was exceptional - the squid starter was deliciously light but the asado was truly fantastic. The men were all delighted with their lomo steaks but I think my son might try the asado next time. For the quality, the price was a very pleasant surprise. We will be back...
It was an amazing dinner. On our arrival, we were warmly welcomed and guided to the table by a team member. The atmosphere was cosy and perfect for a date night. Music was just about the right volume to set the mood, and as the place is not huge, there was not too much people and it wasn't loud at all. As a starter, we ordered provoleta and two empanadas (beef and spinach). I think the provoleta could have been a tad crispier, but the flavour was superb. The empanadas were also delicious. For the main, my boyfriend and I shared a 250gr-sirloin steak with mixed greens and parmesan salad. It was tender, crisp on the outside, flavoursome, and cooked to our taste. We both enjoyed it very much. For dessert, we order a milk cake with passion fruit sorbet and strawberries with mascarpone and yerba ice cream. The milk cake was very sweet but the sharp passion fruit sorbet cut through that sweetness and balance it out. The strawberries were fantastic, so refreshing, and I thought the yerba ice-cream was very innovative and delightful. It was my boyfriend's birthday and, although I had barely mentioned it when they called me to confirm my reservation, they brought his dessert with a candle and two glasses of prossecco on the house. Overall, the service was outstanding. We were very pleased with our dinner at Casa Malevo. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who fancies a good cut of meat.
As Jonathan was quick to acknowledge, my rib eye should never have bern served to anyone. How on earth did the Chef not pot that it more than half fat and gristle?
Fabulous food and attentive service. Would definitely go again!
Our first experience of Casa Malevo. Loved the (lunchtime) informal atmosphere, excellent food and great service. Meat as it should be. Will definitely go back!
It can get a bit loud, but the food is delicious :) outstanding meat!
Always find Casa Malevo the best place to bring friends and family. The meat is handled with such quality that it doesn't matter if your choice are rare or well done you always will have the Argentinian experience.
Food was excellent and can't praise the service enough!
Service was brilliant and the asado steak was very tasty. Would recommend this place for sure.
Memorable steaks, stylishly simple restaurant, thoughtful service - highly recommended.
Excellent food and a delightful atmosphere.
a wonderful restuarnat- i am a regular and plan to be for many years...
Very good food and service. We had empanadas, lomo, burger and squid - all are amazing. Our order of coffee and tea got lost between the waiter and the barista, so we hadn't got them when we got the bill. When we pointed this out to them, they were very apologetic and promptly took the coffee and tea costs off the bill which was a nice gesture. Highly recommended.
I loved the food and the location was ideal. I did think the service was a little sloppy. Even down to the way my wine was poured which made it bubble. Knives and forks slapped down. The female waitress however was lovely and attentive.
The food was gorgeous and definitely worth the money. Our waiter however was not that great. He seemed to know the menu ok but when we came to pay he tried to make us pay twice as no receipt came out, it turned out he just needed a new paper role. Other tables around us also had their food mixed up/missed off the order.
Lovely steak, great service and charming restaurant.
