Please note we are closed for the first two Sundays in January while our kitchen gets a refurbishment.
The waiting on staff came back on three separate occasions to advise us certain items had sold out, rather than advising us at the start what had been sold out. Further, one person found there meal un-eatable. The staff were polite throughout, and offered us a free round of drinks to compensate.
Large group for Sunday lunch, everyone loved it. great venue and great food
Amazing food, we ordered cauliflower cheese which unfortunately was forgotten about but after asking was brought straight away and took off our bill which was lovely. The Yorkshire puddings were also burnt but after mentioning a fresh platter was brought out. Everyone was extremely accommodating and friendly and we will definitely return.
Cool venue, great food.
We booked for 12 o’clock but you actually didn’t open until 1.50pm. 50 minutes is not an acceptable time to wait. We were with friends who had a 3 hour journey home ahead of them. Apart from this everything was great but I would suggest only allowing bookings from 1pm if you cannot get things ready in time. Had I know I would have booked somewhere else.
Very tasty food! Would highly recommend.
The Sunday Roasts are stunning & the staff lovely. It's a perfect place to celebrate with friends.
Good wholesome family food that can be enjoyed by all .
Great food and overall experience. Served very quickly.
Excellent food and service will be back there soon
Amazing tasty food ! A really different dining experience with a great atmosphere and lovely staff, I have recommended to lots of people already !
Father's Day sunday roast was advertised as usual roast with the world cup football on, however this was not the case the usual whole chicken for 4 for £40 was not on the menu instead all the meats were separately priced at around £15 each which was pricey for the venue itself which again did not look like it does on the firms website which shows a nice looking venue with nice tables however the ones provided looked nothing like that are were quite scruffy looking. Football was not shown in the room as advertised but in the back room so unable to watch while dining as advertisement suggested. Band was on which were good but went on many breaks. Roast itself was nice apart from the amount of chicken we got was a small breast which looked like a £1's worth from a large package not £15 worth you'd expect. Service was very good and very friendly. So some good points being the service and the band and the roast vegetables but bad points being not enough meat for your money, dining area a bit scruffy could do with some new tables to justify the price and toilets also looked as though they needed a good clean and decorating again scruffy. In my eyes a lot of false advertising going on with both the advert offerings for Father's Day itself, the price of food being different and the venue itself not looking anything like the images on the website so disappointing overall.
The waitress who served us was absolutely fabulous, I think it was em? She had a long plait in... anyway she was great.
It’s been a little while since we’ve had Sunday lunch here and it was really disappointing compared to what we’ve experienced in the past. The beef, potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were well over cooked. We let our server know and she changed it for us with no trouble but even the second batch wasn’t great. The pork belly was lovely. Also, it would be good to be able to get a child’s portion of the Sunday roast. We do love the place and we will give the roast another try but the chef was definitely having an off day yesterday!
My only complaint would be that we have been saying that we wanted to visit for so long to try the sharing chicken roast and sharing sticky toffee pudding but when we arrived we discovered that it was a special Father’s Day menu which meant these options weren’t available. At no point during the booking process or when I was contacted to confirm the booking a few days before was this communicated.
I booked for a family meal for my 30th and it didn't disappoint. Everyone enjoyed it. Food was lovely and it was really accommodating for a larger party. There was 20 of us and they laid the roast out buffet style which was great. Everyone could fill their plates to suit their appetite and go back for more. The staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend.
Great venue, quality food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend
Great place for a Sunday roast. Works well for a family of 4 if you all like a roast chicken. All brought to the table with loads of different veg, gravy, sausage meat and Yorkshire puddings. Service great and they were very understanding when I phoned to say we would be late due to really bad traffic through the city centre. My only gripe would be the Yorkshire puddings were a bit dry and overcooked but you can't argue with the portion sizes!
The roast is by far the best I’ve had. So tasty and plenty of food! Will definitely be returning!
Food was not great, Yorkshire puddings were so tough everyone in the place left them as we looked around, carrots weren’t cooked, potatoes burned. Really dissapointing
Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Food came very quickly and was great on value and delicious. Atmosphere was topped off with acoustic music in the background. Would definitely attend again
We are regulars but we took family for the first who absolutely loved it. Great food and service. Loved the band too.
Very good service - dealt with a large group of 15. Food was a little cold on coming out but still tasty. Yorkshire puddings need some work.
