About Camp and Furnace
Event space, eatery, bar, music venue, indoor festival park, photographic studios and location spaces.
Please note we are closed for the first two Sundays in January while our kitchen gets a refurbishment.
The meal was great and whole whole family enjoyed even my two y/o son devoured roast potatoes. The roast platter sharing is a great idea but can be difficult if you have children with you when you're trying to pass around heavy slabs of hot veg.
Amazing food and how meals were presented was fantastic. Cool venue too.
Really helpful reservation staff; changed my booking twice! Great service Food was excellent
Roast potatoes were completely undercooked. Waitress at the table was excellent, however the staff member checking us in lacked any sort of customer facing skills at all. Didn’t welcome us in, was extremely rude about when we needed to be out by and was way below the standard I would expect. Very disappointing experience.
Awful portion size, great service and great atmosphere
Great Sunday roast!
Thank You for sending me this email, as I was about to go on trip advisor and leave my feedback there. We attended camp and furnace yesterday for Mother's Day me myself as a mother my mother my fiancé's mother and nan and had a terrible experience. First of all slot of the party ordered the pea and mint soup which had to be sent back.. it tasted like dish water even our waiter tasted it and agreed which then left no alternative for these guests as the other starters were Fish and goats cheese which are acquired tastes. Then the main come, my dad's chicken supreme was smaller than a tiny fist and the meat on the board was freezing cold! We are not serial complainers so we did not send this back again, although my mum sent her lamb back as she likes her well done (I understand this is how it's served but surely you should ask preference) 15 mins later her lamb returned when everybody else had finished. My one year old daughters chicken goujohns were so dry I did not let her eat them incase she choked. Then the Dessert I had the Eton mess which thankfully was delicious... the majority of the party opted for sticky toffee pudding which tasted like salt. We eat out a lot my fiancé's dad is a chef and this food was far below standard. Online it states family films Mum cocktails absolute false advertising. My fiancé was charged £5 for a pint of shandy!? Surely that can't be right. We know drinks prices are more in the city centre we go out a lot but £5 for a shandy? My fiancé's grandmother was looking forward to it as she's is 78 and doesn't Get Our much she was disappointed. It ruined Mother's Day and you should not be open to serve food of that standard. £450/£500 down the drains. Myself and my fiancé were looking at camp and furnace as a wedding venue and this for sure has put us off. Disgraceful day
Amazing meal, great atmosphere and friendly staff. One teeny tiny request - the deserts tend to be a bit rich and sophisticated for kids. Could you add a kids choice (even a few scoops of ice cream.) Thx
We all had a really good time ! Enjoyed the food so much, we will definitely be returning. Thanks :)
Excellent really enjoyed the whole experience
There was no live music as there usually is, and no table service. But the food was amazing and good price.
Very disappointed.Expensive, food cold, small portions of meat on main meal.Starter was an absolute joke, even the waitress agreed when we complained. Manager Zak was fair and knocked 50% off the food bill.
First time visiting camp & furnace for a roast as it was recommended to me, and it lived up to my expectations! I will most definitely be visiting again! It was amazing. The roast potatoes were the best I have EVER had in a restaurant. The staff were welcoming and very friendly!
Best roast in town. Their presentation is everything and the service is friendly and quick!
Great food only thing is it’s quite cold in there a food gets cold quick Otherwise really nice
Venue is excellent and the staff were great. Cold plates are not ideal for a roast though and the gravy was cold! Also, far too much veg. That said, the waitress sorted the gravy and the food was very, very nice. Will definitely be returning again at some point.
Not sure why this wasn't as good as normal Sunday toast but it wasn't. Food was served so cold, it had to go back to be reheated. Never got pigs in blankets or mince pies ad as listed. Veg servers ' Al dense n they were prats c ally raw and couldn't be eaten. Amazing potatoes and beef however. Shame the rest wasn't up to normal standard. When ordering puddling so much confusion and only 1 pudding from 5 was actilualky available we didn't have any which was a shame ad it ended the meal on a real low. Such a shame as we have eaten here a few times before and wanted to treat out family and had raved about how good it was . They hadn't been and definitely won't be coming back. We will as hopefully this was just a festive glitch but vet disappointing all round😢
Great food, great service. The Camp should serve food more regularly.
We came for Sunday lunch. We are two (nearly) seniors and 2 (proper) seniors plus a child in a wheelchair. Can be a tricky combination especially with the wheelchair but not at C+F which was designed for people on wheels. Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great music from Amanda Brown and the Common Ears. We'll recommend and we will be back. Thanks.
Great place...our Waitress Yvonne was great too
Was not informed when I booked that the Xmas menu was the only option. Was expecting a traditional roast with regular charges etc. Agreed to Xmas meals on arrival - party of 8.. Long delays for food and meal was not hot.Sadly disappointing as I had recommended it to the party based on a lovely visit a few weeks earlier
I always make a point of coming to C&F when I come back to Liverpool, because the food is so good and the venue so different. Once again, we had a great time - lovely food, great service, and we appreciated the allowances made for the fact we hadn't been told it was a set, three-course menu.
Service was great to start however the waitress was clearly over run with the volum of customers she had to serve by herself. She did amazing and apologised constantly but you could clearly see it was under staffed. 2 hours wasn't enough for 3 courses and felt rushed at end. Staff amazing but so busy. Also every other table had a table cloth and candles except our row. Bit out way and lacked atmosphere. Which was a pity as looked good. Over all good not my best experience with c +f would maybe consider other placed before returned but good. Need wad very fatty too which disappointed. Also very poor choice in kids menu. My son ate most of my roast as his dinner wasn't great.
My 1st visit and loved it.
