Cérès proposes a new take on Southern European gastronomy showcasing seasonal British produce in unique monthly menus.
We booked a table for 10 and it went down a treat! You have to have the tasting menu but the portions are big and the meat substitute was great. Loved it!
The food was as excellent as the service was friendly. The Chef made sure that everyone was having the best experience possible and made the occasion very special. Will definitely come back again!
The main courses & cheese board were very nice. The starters were a little disappointing, the carrot tempura was just tiny slivers of carrot so only really tasted of batter. Also our starters came separately, we were forewarned but it does spoil the atmosphere of dining out together when that happens. Over all, nice comfort food, a good wine selection and lovely homely service.
Un nid douillet où la gastronomie et le créativité se mêlent pour le plus grand plaisir du client. A conseiller et à recommander vivement.
Glorious Autumn tasting menu with excellent wine pairing. Very happy local!
The food was delicious, if a bit pricey. The carrot tempura with cauliflower sauce and caramelised hazelnuts was very tasty and wonderful, as was the fish (also nice and juicy). We had a lovely time and would come again. Really curious about what the winter menu will bring.
Superb cooking and wine matches. The flavours were intense and in interesting combinations. The quality of the ingredients, and preparation of them was of a very high standard
Delicious dinner as always!
What a great meal! Went to dinner with a friend on Saturday night, the place was packed and buzzing. Although tempted by the tasting menu we decided to choose some sharing plates and we were not disappointed! First we started off with the most amazing cocktails, the Kiwi-quila (kiwi, tequila, lime) and Figamisu Vodka (homemade fig ice cream, coffee and vodka) then we had the pumpkin ravioli with blue cheese sauce (outstanding), the chicken liver (the highlight) and the veal and burrata (outrageous!). The Jumi cheeseboard, a carafe of Vinsobres and we were as happy as Larry! I'm not surprised they're in the Michelin guide they definitely deserve it. Highly recommend.
We had a relaxed Friday evening meal at Ceres, opting for the early autumn taster menu accompanied by a bottle of red. The food was fantastic, perhaps with the slight exception of the brioche which came as part of the first course.I found a bit too bulky and would have preferred toast with the delicious brown crab topping. Other dishes included fresh oysters, skate and veal - all absolutely amazing. The wine was excellent and good value. The service was impeccable and super friendly. The dining room could do with a bit of softening. Whilst the oak plywood furniture is beautiful (and comfortable) and the lighting is lovely there are too many hard surfaces making the small space a bit echoey. a couple of rugs on floor or walls would do the trick. Will be back!
We’ll be back to taste some more delicious dishes-one to watch.
Fantastic service, attentive and welcoming. We really enjoyed our meal
Interesting & very tasty food cooked with great skill - and a well-selected wine list. Waitress charming and attentive - a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely innovative menu, thanks!
Very good addition to the local restaurant scene. Interesting menu and great service
The sharing plate menu is perfect for a date with your partner And the limited menu and wine list means everything Has to be perfect which it was.
Brilliant little restaurant - terrific food, impeccable service, highly recommended
Superb food - particularly the monkfish. Will definitely be back!
Very cute restaurant with great service and food, definitely recommend! Will be back for one of your events!
The most lovely evening - great food and perfect wine. I went here with two girlfriends and will take my boyfriend soon. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious! It was a bit more than I would usually spend, but we all agreed it was worth it.
An excellent local restaurant with delicious seasonal food. An interesting wine list to match. Very warm service and extra special to have the chef proprietor visit the tables for feedback. Hoping that they continue to thrive as a great addition to the area and a refreshing change from larger corporate restaurants.
Cute spot with really delicious food, would highly recommend the samphire and beef tataki. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.
The food and service was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
